Claims (17)
- Device (1) for cutting off covering layers (2, 3) from an end (4) of a conveyor belt (5), the device (1) and the conveyor belt (5) being movable relative to one another and the cutting-off of the respective covering layer (2 or 3) being effected by means of a blade (26 or 27 resp.) of the device (1), characterized in that the device (1) has two blades (27, 28), the one blade (27) serving to cut off the covering layer (3) on the one side of the conveyor belt (5) and the other blade (28) serving to cut off the covering layer (2) on the other side of the conveyor belt (5).
- Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the respective blade (27, 28) is designed as a flexurally rigid knife.
- Device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the blades (27, 28) have cutting edges (30, 44) which are arranged parallel to one another.
- Device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that at least one of the blades (27 or 28) is adjustable in the thickness direction of the conveyor belt (5).
- Device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that at least one (28) of the blades (27, 28) is adjustable perpendicularly to the thickness direction of the conveyor belt (5).
- Device according to one of Claims 3 to 5, characterized in that the cutting edge (30) of one blade (27), with respect to the relative traverse direction of the device (1) and the conveyor belt (5), is arranged upstream of the cutting edge (44) of the other blade (28).
- Device according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the respective blade (27 or 28) has a central section (30 or 44 resp.) and at least one marginal section (31 or 47 resp.), in particular two marginal sections (29, 31 and 45, 47 resp.), adjoining this central section (30 or 44 resp.).
- Device according to Claim 7, characterized in that the marginal section or sections (31, 47) is/are arranged at a right angle up to an obtuse angle relative to the central section (30, 44).
- Device according to Claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the cutting edges (32, 48) of the central sections (30, 44) are arranged parallel to one another.
- Device according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the device (1) has guide plates (33, 49), in particular guide plates (33, 49) arranged parallel to one another, for guiding the conveyor belt (5) between said guide plates (33, 49).
- Device according to Claim 10, characterized in that at least one of the guide plates (33 or 49) is adjustable in the thickness direction of the conveyor belt (5).
- Device according to Claim 10 or 11, characterized in that the blades (27, 28), in the direction of movement of the conveyor belt (5) relative to the device (1), are arranged downstream of the guide plates (33, 49).
- Device according to one of Claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the conveyor belt (5) is mounted in a stationary position, in particular is clamped in place in a supporting device (7), and the device (1) is traversable, in particular mechanically traversable.
- Device according to Claim 13, characterized in that the device (1) is mounted such as to be guided in a stationary guide device (6), in particular a guide device (6) which forms a constructional unit with the supporting device (7).
- Device according to Claim 14, characterized in that a drive for moving the device (1) along the guide device (6) is provided, in particular a drive which has a pinion (24) which is in engagement with a toothed rack or a perforated rod on the guide device (6).
- Device according to Claim 15, characterized in that a crank handle (26) for rotating the pinion (24) is provided, reduction gearing in particular being arranged between the crank handle (26) and the pinion (24).
- Device according to one of Claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the device (1) is mounted in a stationary position and the conveyor belt (5) is traversable.
