Beim Aufbringen eines Druckbilds 17 auf die Druckplatte 12 muss auf die Genauigkeit der Zuordnung zwischen Druckbild und Positionierausnehmungen 13, 14 geachtet werden, die auch als Passstanzungen bezeichnet werden. Im eingangs genannten Stand der Technik ( EP 1593505 A2 ) ist ein Verfahren beschrieben, um eine schnelle Lagekontrolle eines Druckbilds auf der Druckplatte 12 durchzuführen. Dies erfolgt mittels eines Kamerasystems. Das Ergebnis, also das Feststellen von eventuellen Abweichungen, erhält man als Datensatz. Gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung wird dieser Datensatz in einem Transponder 18 gespeichert, der an der Druckplatte 12 fixiert ist. Gemäß Figur 1 ist dieser Transponder 18 an der Anlage- oder Unterseite der Druckplatte 12 zum Formzylinder 10 hin an einer Stelle fixiert, an der neben der Festspanneinrichtung 11 ein kleiner Hohlraum vorhanden ist. Dies verhindert zum einen eine Beschädigung des Transponders 18 und zum anderen eine ungleiche Auflage auf dem Formzylinder 10.
