Les plateaux sont par exemple sur le rotor 16, entre le moteur 14 et la vis sans fin 24. On peut envisager à titre d'exemple, que le plateau 26 est solidaire de la partie du rotor reliée à l'entrée 16 de la transmission, et que le plateau 28 est mobile en translation par rapport à l'autre partie du rotor reliée à la sortie 18.
