Abstract

The method involves passing the baskets (4,5,8) with items to be washed through at least one light barrier (11) in the washing container (6) and driving signal variations from the resulting variations in light interruptions, from which the loading of wash items in the washing container is determined. Loading detection is carried out before the start of the wash program. Independent claims are also included for the following: a program-controlled dishwasher.

Description

Method for recognizing the loading of a program-controlled dishwasher with Washware and dishwasher to carry out the process The invention relates to a method for detecting the loading of a program-controlled Dishwasher with wash ware, or in cutlery baskets or cutlery baskets the like. is placed in the lockable rinsing container of the device. The invention further relates to a dishwasher to carry out the method.

Dies kann beispielsweise durch eine der Beladung entsprechende Zufuhr an Spülflüssigkeit in den Spülbehälter und durch ein an die Beladung angepasstes Aufheizen der Spülflüssigkeit geschehen., Program-controlled dishwashers can be operated in an energy-saving manner by the electricity and water consumption in relation to the amount of water for washing in the washing container loaded dishes or dishes. It is known from EP 0 943 287 A1, Detecting electromagnetic waves and / or sound waves in the rinsing container of the device Arrange sensors at a large distance from each other, especially on a room diagonal, where the sensors are assigned transmitters, the light signals or acoustic Send signals. If the transmitter now sends signals, they will be transmitted by the invited Some of the washware is reflected and / or, if necessary, delayed to the recipient (Sensor). The time evaluation of the signals received by the sensors then gives information about the arrangement of the dishes or the amount of dishes. The determined in each case The amount of crockery or the load of dishes is registered and one that treats these items The course of the washing program is affected. This can be done, for example, by one of the loads Corresponding supply of rinsing liquid into the rinsing container and through to the load adapted heating of the rinsing liquid happen.

The load is recognized whenever the loaded crockery baskets are inside of the rinsing container. The process works imprecisely because of the fact that Transmitted electromagnetic waves or sound waves each immediately on the reflect the first obstacle (dishware) lying in the transmission beam and be deflected. This means that items to be washed can be placed behind them in the crockery basket or those in the basket below Dishes from sender and receiver not recognized. Also in EP 0 943 287 A1 Detection of the loading quantity by capacitance measurement described above does not offer any here practical solution.

Furthermore, devices or methods in dishwashers belonging to the prior art, which a load detection through the evaluation of the temperature profile of the rinsing liquid during the heating phase or by evaluating pump pressure fluctuations are problematic in that the measurement results are not at the beginning of the washing program but only relatively late, e.g. B. only during an ongoing pre-wash program or at the end of the same. Accordingly, the wash program can only be adjusted with the next program section in the current washing program.

The invention has for its object a method and a dishwasher Execution of the method to specify with which loaded in the dishwasher The items to be washed are optimally recognized before the start of washing according to the basket assignment, quantity and, if necessary, type of dishes and consequently the washing program control can be adapted or selected.

Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen und Weiterbildungen der Erfindung ergeben sich aus den UnteransprüchenAccording to the invention, this object is achieved by the method features of claim 1 solved. The method is carried out by means of a dishwasher according to the features of claim 7. Advantageous refinements and developments of Invention result from the subclaims

With the invention is advantageous both the amount of dishes to be washed and the The size and possibly the type of wash ware can be determined automatically before the start of the wash program. Based on this result, the following washing program can be computer controlled with regard to an optimal economic and energy-saving mode of operation of the device modified or specifically selected.

A dishwasher (1) shown in FIG. 1 in a simplified representation or its washing container (2), Fig. 2, is in its program run on the type and amount of that loaded for rinsing Dishes (2) customizable. The adaptation to the program takes place in cooperation with the device's own electronic program control (3) for processing and editing the corresponding washing technology parameters are designed with memory and arithmetic unit. The design of the dishwasher (1) is generally known. Characteristic for such a household or commercial water-carrying device is a with Dishwashing baskets (4, 5) equipped washing container (6), in which the dishwashing baskets (4, 5) in superimposed Wash levels can be moved separately between rotating spray arms (not shown) are arranged. The baskets (4, 5) for the dishes to be washed (2) are in the Rinsing container (6) on rails (7) or the like .. and to in or clear out the Dishes and cutlery in assigned cutlery baskets can be removed from the washing container (6). Instead of a cutlery basket arranged in a crockery basket (4 or 5) (Not shown) can also be a cutlery drawer that can be moved in the same way as a crockery basket (4, 5) (8) according to FIG. 1 is provided in a separate uppermost washing level of the washing container (6) his. The rinsing container (6) is on the front for storing and clearing the dishes (2) to open by a hinged appliance door (9), to which the lower one opens when opened Dish rack (4) for loading and unloading can be completely set down and moved. Likewise, the upper crockery basket (5) and the cutlery drawer (8) are above the assigned ones The rails (7) can be completely pulled out of the rinsing tank. A basket pulled out releases the wash cabinet opening (10) completely.

To identify the load of items to be washed according to type, basket assignment and quantity of dishes (2) in the door lockable wash cabinet opening (10) in the area above or below the crockery baskets (4, 5; 8) and / or laterally a light source (12) and a light curtain (11) opposite this, each light receiver (13) is provided. The light source (12) is in Form of a light bar or rod-shaped from one or more individual light sources. A light guide optic (light guide) fed with extraneous light is also possible. Any of these Light sources (12) form a separate optical one with the assigned light receivers (13) Light barrier system (L1; L2).

A light source (12) is preferably in the ceiling area of the wash cabinet opening (10) above the top crockery basket (5) or the cutlery drawer (8) and another light source (12) on the side at the wash cabinet opening (10) next to all baskets. The light sources (12) are assigned to the light receivers (13) on opposite sides of the container, the one group of light receivers (13) on the bottom and the other group on the side in the wash cabinet opening (10) are mounted. The resulting light curtains (11) of the two light barrier systems (L1, L2) intersect and "flood" the full wash cabinet opening (10).

The method according to the invention is now explained in more detail with reference to FIG. 1.

For optimal loading detection, it is not absolutely necessary that the loading Baskets (4, 5) as well as the cutlery drawer (8) completely when loading with dishes (2) the rinsing container (10) are pulled out. Although this can be advantageous for dish detection be because the light curtains (11) in the free wash cabinet opening (10) are unhindered can train behind the baskets so that from the loaded basket when this is in the wash cabinet is inserted, the complete tableware signal pattern is generated with a basket movement can be. With the help of the microcontroller the electronic program control can but saved where the basket start is. This is also a retroactive one It is possible to load a crockery basket that is only partially pulled out of the wash cabinet.

If a loaded crockery basket (4 or 5) and / or the cutlery drawer (8) in the washing container (6) is pushed in by the light interruptions at the receiving devices the optical light barrier systems (L1, L2) generates signals, the signal curve (S), see Fig. 3, each a measure of the loading amount of the basket and possibly also characteristic for the type of dishes (2). For example, a very broad impulse leaves conclude on a large plate. There are separate waveforms of several Receiving elements (light receivers). From the signal curves (S) of the baskets the Computer electronics or program control (3) loading the dishes Rinsing container (6) by type, quantity and / or location in the basket and then determines that starting washing program or adjusts it to the given conditions. The load detection is therefore advantageously carried out before the start of the washing program, so that the washing technology Parameters such as water volume, temperature, chemistry, pressure, rinsing time, water change and the like. by appropriate data exchange with the electronic program control (3) can be set at an early stage. This happens because of that in the program control (3) of the device stored in a memory comparison signal pattern of different basket loads is compared with the recorded actual loading of the baskets, and that the comparison result is used as a stipulation for the dishwashing program run of the dishwasher. The optical light barrier systems (L1, L2) communicate with the dishwasher electronics.

With the method is an early and accurate detection and recording of each Loading condition possible. The type of wash items can also be recorded, for example Generate plates with different signal patterns than cups, glasses or cutlery.

In an advantageous development of the invention, in addition to that for reloading dishes useful detection of the basket pull-out position using the processor control, however also the retraction and extension speed of the baskets are recorded, whereby the generated Signal patterns related to the basket movement and the moving basket itself can be. The basket speed could be detected by the light barriers, e.g. by means of a rack on a side of the crockery basket, which then pulses a light beam interrupts. The rack then functions as a clock device for the basket speed detection.

A dishwasher designed in this way is combined with an automatic program operate with low water and energy consumption.
