Auf einfache Weise wird eine sichere Bremswirkung gemäß einer vorteilhaften Ausgestaltung dadurch erreicht, daß die Bremsmittel die Reibung der Zigarettenblöcke im Führungskanal an wenigstens einer Wandung des Führungskanals erhöhend ausgebildet sind.
Besonders bei umhüllten mit einem Folieneinschlag versehenen Zigarettengruppen besteht eine einfache und effektive Ausgestaltung darin, daß die Bremsmittel als in den Führungskanal einmündende Saugkanäle ausgebildet sind. Nach einem weiteren Vorschlag münden diese Saugkanäle vorzugsweise aus der unteren Kanalwand in den Führungskanal ein. Bei dieser Anordnung kann sogar auf besondere Steuermittel zum Aktivieren und Deaktivieren der Saugluft verzichtet werden, da sich die Saugluft und damit die Bremswirkung beim Überfahren der Saugkanäle durch die Zigarettenblöcke selbst steuert.

Ein derartiger Druckstößel kann bei einer unumhüllten Artikelgruppe, die einer Fehlgruppe entspricht, gezielt aktiviert werden, wenn diese Fehlgruppe den genannten Wandabschnitt passiert.
Zusätzlich kann nach einem weiteren Vorschlag der federelastische Wandabschnitt in den Führungskanal einmündende Saugkanäle aufweisen.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Bremsmittel eignen sich besonders für eine Anordnung, gemäß der das Abfördermittel als relativ und fluchtend zum Führungskanal hin- und herbewegbare Aufnahmetasche ausgebildet ist, in welche in der Überführungsstellung aus den Wandungen des Führungskanals vorspringende Führungszungen hineinragen. Durch die erfindungsgemäßen Bremsmittel ist gewährleistet, daß die in schneller Folge herangeführten Artikelgruppen exakt in der Aufnahmetasche positioniert werden. Zweckmäßigerweise treten nach einem weiteren Vorschlag die Saugkanäle aus den bodenseitigen Führungszungen aus. Darüber hinaus erstrecken sich die bodenseitigen und seitlichen Führungszungen in entsprechende Wandausnehmungen der Aufnahmetasche hinein. Damit können Artikelgruppen bereits in die Überführungsposition vorbewegt werden, bevor die entgegenbewegte Aufnahmetasche ihre Überführungsposition erreicht hat.

Die Schubstößel 2 sind gemäß Figur 5a an einem in Pfeilrichtung 9 umlaufenden Endlosfördermittel 11 befestigt.
Im Überführungsbereich am Abgabeende des Führungskanals 1 sind in dessen Bodenwand Bremsmittel in Form von Saugkanälen 12 vorgesehen, die in den Führungskanal 1 einmünden. Zum Teil befinden sich die Saugkanäle 12 gemäß Figur 4 in vorspringenden Führungszungen 13 des Führungskanals 1, welche sich in der Überführungsstellung der Aufnahmetasche 8 in deren entsprechende Wandausnehmungen 14 hinein erstrecken. Zusätzliche, seitlich vorspringende Führungszungen 16 des Führungskanals 1 erstrecken sich in entsprechende seitliche Wandausnehmungen 17 der Aufnahmetasche 8.
Zusätzliche bzw. alternativ aktivierbare Bremsmittel in Form von oberseitig angreifenden, den Kanalquerschnitt einengenden Druckmitteln 18 für nicht erwünschte und später ausgesonderte, unumhüllte Zigarettenblöcke 19 gemäß Figur 2 bestehen aus einem auf einen federelastischen Wandabschnitt 21 der oberen Kanalwand einwirkenden Druckstößel 22, welcher bei einem im Verlauf des Führungskanals 1 ermittelten unumhüllten Zigarettenblock 19 gemäß Figur 2 aktiviert wird, wodurch der Zigarettenblock 19 durch den Wandabschnitt 21 kraft- bzw. reibschlüssig beaufschlagt und abgebremst wird. Den Wandabschnitt 21 durchsetzen ebenfalls Saugkanäle 23, die in den Führungskanal 1 einmünden.

Durch die im Anschluß an die Überführungsstellung gemäß Figur 5c mit gleichbleibender Geschwindigkeit bewegte Aufnahmetasche 8 und gleichzeitig zunehmende Verzögerung des Schubstößels 2 löst sich der Schubstößel 2 von der Stirnfläche des Zigarettenblocks 4 und tritt schließlich aus dem stirnseitig offenen Folieneinschlag 3 heraus, so daß er gemäß Figur 5d der Bewegung des Endlosfördermittels 11 in Pfeilrichtung 9 folgen und aus dem geradlinigen Förderweg 6 nach unten wegtauchen kann.
Die sich in Pfeilrichtung 7 entfernende Aufnahmetasche 8 überführt den Zigarettenblock 4 zu nicht dargestellten Förder- und Falteinrichtungen zwecks Komplettierung der Zigarettenpackung.
Eine vergleichbare und deshalb nicht noch einmal wiederholte Wirkungsweise ergibt sich bei der Überführung von unumhüllten Zigarettenblöcken 19 gemäß Figur 2, welche in diesem Fall statt durch relativ unwirksam angreifende Saugluft durch Verformung des oberen Wandabschnitts 21 kraffschlüssig beaufschlagt und damit durch erhöhte Reibung im ortsfesten Führungskanal 1 abgebremst werden.

Claims (10)

  1. Apparatus for transferring groups of rod-shaped articles of the tobacco-processing industry, in particular in the form of cigarette blocks (4; 19), from a stationary guide channel (1) to a discharge-conveying means, the cigarette blocks being fed by push rams (2) advancing at increasing and decreasing speed and emerging downward from the guide channel in the transfer zone during a deceleration phase, characterized by braking means (12; 18, 21) becoming active in the transfer zone during the ram deceleration and acting on the cigarette blocks (4; 19).
  2. Apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the braking means (12; 18, 21) are designed to increase the friction of the cigarette blocks (4; 19) in the guide channel (1) on at least one wall.
  3. Apparatus according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the braking means are designed as suction ports (12) opening into the guide channel (1).
  4. Apparatus according to Claim 3, characterized in that the suction ports (12) open into the guide channel (1) preferably from the lower channel wall.
  5. Apparatus according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the braking means are designed as pressure means (18) narrowing the cross-section of the guide channel (1).
  6. Apparatus according to Claim 5, characterized in that the pressure means is designed as a resilient wall portion (21) of the upper channel wall of the guide channel (1), which wall portion can be acted on by a pressure ram (22).
  7. Apparatus according to Claim 6, characterized in that the resilient wall portion (21) has suction ports (23) opening into the guide channel (1).
  8. Apparatus according to Claim 1, characterized in that the discharge-conveying means is designed as a receiving pocket (8) which is movable to and fro relatively to and in alignment with the guide channel (1) and into which guide tongues (13, 16) protruding from the walls of the guide channel project in the transfer position.
  9. Apparatus according to Claim 8, characterized in that the suction ports (12) come out from the bottom guide tongues (13).
  10. Apparatus according to Claim 8 or 9, characterized in that the bottom and lateral guide tongues (13; 16) extend into corresponding wall recesses (14; 17) of the receiving pocket (8).
