Definitions
- FR-A-2 569 666 shows a device of this kind in which the shutter means comprise a cover intended to be torn during the relative movement of the two tanks, for placing them in communication.
- the lid once torn, can be troublesome for the proper flow of the products and the mixture.
- the perforation of the cover is obtained by a relative axial displacement of the tanks which generates a decrease in the internal volume of the entire mixer.
- such a device is often used for mixing a dye contained in one of the containers and an oxidant contained in the other container to produce a hair dye; when the mixing is carried out, a slight release of gas occurs and the reduction in the internal volume contributes to an increase in the overpressure, which can cause projections of the mixture when the device is open to the outside, in order to distribute this mixed.
- FR-A-2 239 390 shows a device of the kind defined above, in which the shutter means comprise a shutter plate connected to one of the containers, and a closing partition, provided with a seat for said shutter plate, the assembly being such that in the closed position, the shutter plate is applied in leaktight manner against the seat, while an appropriate relative movement of the two containers separates the plate from the seat and ensures the opening of the shutter means.
- the movement ensuring the opening of the closure means causes a reduction in the internal volume of the assembly, with the drawbacks mentioned above.
- US-A-3 924 741 shows a device according to the first part of claim 1 in which the displacement of the closure means causes an increase in the internal volume of the assembly.
- this device has dead spaces; it will be extremely difficult to evacuate from these spaces the liquid which will have been introduced during the mixing of the two products.
- this device requires a significant translational movement for the opening of the closure means, resulting in a large size after mixing.
- the object of the invention is, above all, to provide a device for keeping separate at least two products, of the kind defined above, which no longer exhibits or to a lesser degree the drawbacks mentioned above.
- this device when the closure means are open, make it possible to ensure good communication between the containers and good flow of the mixture towards the outside, without the closure means being able to hinder this flow d 'in an uncontrolled manner, that it has no dead spaces and is of a small footprint. It is also desirable for the device to remain simple and economical to manufacture, while ensuring a good seal between the two containers, during storage.
- the shutter plate is located beyond the upper edge of the sleeve.
- the shutter plate is locked in rotation and in translation relative to the container to which it is linked.
- the assembly is such that the relative movement between the two containers comprises at least one component of axial translation, the opening of the shutter means being ensured by the movement of axial translation of the shutter plate relative to the seat.
- the relative displacement between the two containers can result from the combination of a rotational movement and a translational movement by the cooperation of at least one helical ramp integral with one of the two containers with a lug, engaged in this ramp, secured to the other container.
- the two containers are mounted so as to allow relative sliding between them.
- the shutter plate is circular and coaxial with the containers.
- the obturator plate is carried by at least two tabs extending substantially in the axial direction of the containers, these tabs being integral, at their end remote from the obturator plate, with a base ring having a central opening.

- the crown carrying the shutter plate can be part of an independent part, (or shutter), intended to be fixed, in particular by snap-fastening, on the neck of one of the containers.
- This shutter comprises an external skirt which surrounds the neck of the container, a sealing lip being provided to cooperate with the inlet of the neck, anti-rotation notches being provided between the internal face of the skirt and the external surface of the neck.
- a system of helical ramps and lugs can be provided between the two containers to control, from a rotational movement, the relative movement in translation; preferably, the pins are provided integral with the container equipped with the shutter plate, while the helical ramps are integral with the other container.
- the helical ramps are closed at their ends to avoid any separation due to an excessive rotational movement between the two containers.
- a rotational stop means is advantageously provided between the two containers, this stop means comprising a longitudinal notch parallel to the axis of the two containers and provided on the internal surface of one of the containers, this notch being suitable for cooperate with a corresponding longitudinal groove provided on the other container or a part integral with this other container, the cooperation being obtained when the assembly is in the closed or storage position.
- the crown secured to the tabs carrying the shutter plate can be provided directly on one of the containers and form a single piece with this container.
- At least one of the containers can consist of a flexible pocket.
- One of the two containers is provided with a means of distributing the mixture obtained, this means possibly consisting of a nozzle which can be closed off by a plug.
- Figure 1 of these drawings shows a device according to the invention, during assembly, in vertical axial section.
- Figure 2 shows the device of Figure 1 assembled, the shutter plate being in the closed position, each container containing a liquid product.

- the filling of the container 2 with liquid B is then carried out, then the capsule 3 is screwed onto the upper end of the wall 27.
- the device D is thus obtained in the storage position, containing the products separated from one another. A and B.
- the operator when the operator wishes to mix the two products A and B, he need only grasp the container 1 with one hand and the wall 27 of the container 2 with the other hand.
- the operator By imparting a rotational movement relative to the two containers 1 and 2, the operator causes an axial translation of the containers 1 and 2 which move away from each other, so that the shutter plate 22 moves away from the seat 29 and allows the flow of one product in the other for mixing.
- the shutter 12 and the container 2 cannot be separated from each other because the pins 16 are trapped in the ramps 17 closed at each of their ends.
- the operator After having carried out, for example, a rotation of half a turn between the containers 1 and 2, the operator turns over the device D so that the product contained in the container 1 flows into the container 2 whose volume has been determined accordingly. The operator then shakes the device D to produce a homogeneous mixture. After having broken the plug 5 or end piece, the operator can dispense the mixture by applying pressure to the flexible body of the container 2, as illustrated in FIG. 4.
- the dimensions of the various elements are preferably chosen so as to substantially respect an equality of the passage section for mixing at the different levels.
- dimensions are selected so that the section S1 (see FIG 4) of the aperture 18 enclosed by the sealing lip 19 is substantially equal to the S2 section of the annular passage between the edge 24 of the plate shutter 22 in the open position, and the internal surface of the skirt 31, and is substantially equal to the section S3 of passage of the seat 29.
- the body 39 is produced by injection blowing.
- the lower part 40 of the container 102 constitutes a separator proper and comprises the partition 28. This part 40 is tightly fixed to the base of the body 39.
- the lower edge 41 of the body 39 is engaged in a groove 42.
- the lower zone of the body 39 comprises on its outer surface a snap ring 43 snapping behind a snap rim 44 provided on the inner surface of the part 40.
- the container 1 could also be produced with flexible walls, in particular in the case where the products to be mixed are intended for the production of a perm.
- FIG. 6 illustrates another alternative embodiment corresponding to a mixer-tube version.
- the container 201 is arranged in the form of a tube T, and the shutter 212 forms a single piece with this tube T of which it constitutes the head.
- the device D is composed of only three parts, namely the lower container 201 with the shutter, the upper container 2 and the capsule 3.
- FIGS. 7 to 10 partially illustrate an alternative embodiment which differs from that of FIGS. 1 to 4 only at the level of the ramps 317 of the container 302 and additional means provided on the external surface of the skirt 313.
- the ramps 317 are formed by a traditional screw pitch instead of being formed by non-opening ramps, as in the case of FIGS. 1 to 4.

Abstract
Description
- un premier récipient pour l'un des produits ;
- a first container for one of the products;
- at least a second container for at least one other product, the two containers being assembled in a sealed manner with respect to the outside, while having a possibility of relative displacement,
- and closure means suitable for keeping the first container isolated from the second, said closure means being able to be opened in response to an appropriate relative movement of the containers.
The lid, once torn, can be troublesome for the proper flow of the products and the mixture. In addition, the perforation of the cover is obtained by a relative axial displacement of the tanks which generates a decrease in the internal volume of the entire mixer. However, such a device is often used for mixing a dye contained in one of the containers and an oxidant contained in the other container to produce a hair dye; when the mixing is carried out, a slight release of gas occurs and the reduction in the internal volume contributes to an increase in the overpressure, which can cause projections of the mixture when the device is open to the outside, in order to distribute this mixed.
The documents JP-U-3-72634 and JP-U-3-72678, published on July 23, 1991, show a device of the kind defined above in which the sealing means comprise a plug located in the internal volume, and which is separated during the relative movement of the two tanks. The axial displacement of the two containers, making it possible to open the sealing means, generates an increase in the internal volume of the entire mixer, but the cap, once uncoupled, always constitutes an impediment to the good flow of the products or of the mixture either at the level of the communication of the two containers, or at the level of the orifice allowing the distribution of the mixture towards the outside.
Selon FR-A-2 239 390, le déplacement assurant l'ouverture des moyens d'obturation provoque une diminution du volume interne de l'ensemble, avec les inconvénients évoqués précédemment.FR-A-2 239 390 shows a device of the kind defined above, in which the shutter means comprise a shutter plate connected to one of the containers, and a closing partition, provided with a seat for said shutter plate, the assembly being such that in the closed position, the shutter plate is applied in leaktight manner against the seat, while an appropriate relative movement of the two containers separates the plate from the seat and ensures the opening of the shutter means. According to FR-A-2 239 390, the movement ensuring the opening of the closure means causes a reduction in the internal volume of the assembly, with the drawbacks mentioned above.
The object of the invention is, above all, to provide a device for keeping separate at least two products, of the kind defined above, which no longer exhibits or to a lesser degree the drawbacks mentioned above. In particular, it is desired that this device, when the closure means are open, make it possible to ensure good communication between the containers and good flow of the mixture towards the outside, without the closure means being able to hinder this flow d 'in an uncontrolled manner, that it has no dead spaces and is of a small footprint. It is also desirable for the device to remain simple and economical to manufacture, while ensuring a good seal between the two containers, during storage.
- a first container for one of the products,
- at least a second container for at least one other product, the two containers being assembled in a sealed manner vis-à-vis the outside, while having a possibility of relative displacement, this second container being equipped with a capsule closed by a plug which can be broken or torn off, at the time of use, to release the mixture,
- and closure means suitable for keeping the first container isolated from the second, these closure means being able to be opened in response to an appropriate relative movement of the containers, these closure means comprising:
- a shutter consisting, on the one hand, of a peripheral skirt suitable for surrounding the neck of the first container, this skirt comprising a crown extending radially inwards and a cylindrical sleeve which extends from the crown and which has a smaller outside diameter than that of the skirt and, on the other hand, a shutter plate carried at a distance from the crown,
- and a closing partition provided with a seat for said obturator plate, linked to the second container,
- the assembly being such that, in the closed position, the shutter plate is applied in a sealed manner against the seat while an appropriate relative movement of the two containers separates the plate from the seat and ensures the opening of the shutter means, displacement in translation between the two containers, capable of causing the opening of the closure means, ensuring an increase in the internal volume of the assembly of the two containers,
Preferably, the shutter plate is located beyond the upper edge of the sleeve.
Advantageously, the shutter plate is locked in rotation and in translation relative to the container to which it is linked.
Preferably, the assembly is such that the relative movement between the two containers comprises at least one component of axial translation, the opening of the shutter means being ensured by the movement of axial translation of the shutter plate relative to the seat.
The relative displacement between the two containers can result from the combination of a rotational movement and a translational movement by the cooperation of at least one helical ramp integral with one of the two containers with a lug, engaged in this ramp, secured to the other container. According to another possibility, the two containers are mounted so as to allow relative sliding between them.
Generally, the shutter plate is circular and coaxial with the containers.
Advantageously, the obturator plate is carried by at least two tabs extending substantially in the axial direction of the containers, these tabs being integral, at their end remote from the obturator plate, with a base ring having a central opening.
The shutter plate preferably has a frustoconical edge capable of cooperating with a corresponding frustoconical seat.
The crown carrying the shutter plate can be part of an independent part, (or shutter), intended to be fixed, in particular by snap-fastening, on the neck of one of the containers. This shutter comprises an external skirt which surrounds the neck of the container, a sealing lip being provided to cooperate with the inlet of the neck, anti-rotation notches being provided between the internal face of the skirt and the external surface of the neck.
A system of helical ramps and lugs can be provided between the two containers to control, from a rotational movement, the relative movement in translation; preferably, the pins are provided integral with the container equipped with the shutter plate, while the helical ramps are integral with the other container. Advantageously, the helical ramps are closed at their ends to avoid any separation due to an excessive rotational movement between the two containers. A rotational stop means is advantageously provided between the two containers, this stop means comprising a longitudinal notch parallel to the axis of the two containers and provided on the internal surface of one of the containers, this notch being suitable for cooperate with a corresponding longitudinal groove provided on the other container or a part integral with this other container, the cooperation being obtained when the assembly is in the closed or storage position.
The crown secured to the tabs carrying the shutter plate can be provided directly on one of the containers and form a single piece with this container.
At least one of the containers can consist of a flexible pocket.
One of the two containers is provided with a means of distributing the mixture obtained, this means possibly consisting of a nozzle which can be closed off by a plug.
The invention consists, apart from the arrangements set out above, of a certain number of other arrangements which will be more explicitly discussed below in connection with embodiments described with reference to the attached drawings, but which are in no way limiting.

Referring to the drawings, in particular to FIGS. 1 and 2, one can see a device D for keeping two liquid products A, B separate from each other and for mixing them at a desired time, in particular at the time of 'use. Such a device is particularly suitable for oxidation dyes, the liquid A corresponding to the dye while the liquid B corresponds to the oxidant.
The device D comprises a
The
The
The wall of the
The
The
The
The area of the inner surface of the
The upper end of the
The mounting of the device D can be carried out using three sub-assemblies constituted respectively by the
At the time of use, when the operator wishes to mix the two products A and B, he need only grasp the
The
After having carried out, for example, a rotation of half a turn between the
It should be noted that the dimensions of the various elements are preferably chosen so as to substantially respect an equality of the passage section for mixing at the different levels. In particular, dimensions are selected so that the section S1 (see FIG 4) of the
Referring to Figure 5, we can see an alternative embodiment incorporating most of the elements already described with reference to the previous figures and designated by the same reference numerals, without their description being repeated.
The assembly and operation of the device illustrated in Figure 5 are similar to those described above.
It should be noted that the
The
The height of the tear-
In the closed position of the
At the end of unscrewing, the
Referring to Figures 11 and 12, we can see, partially shown, an alternative embodiment of the type "push-pull" in which the relative movement between the
In the embodiment of Figures 11 and 12, the
It is possible to provide a relative blocking in rotation of the two elements using ramps, not emerging, parallel to the axis of the containers; these ramps would be provided, for example, on the
The
Whatever the variant embodiment, the invention makes it possible to mix the two products in good conditions, without the shutter, fixed to one of the containers or to a part integral with one of the containers, coming hinder, in an uncontrolled manner, the production of the mixture.
