Definitions
- the invention relates to a vacuum switch with the following features:
- a drive device for providing a drive force for at least one vacuum interrupter; a pole drive unit receiving the vacuum interrupter at one end, consisting of a carrier, the one
- the carrier is designed as a U-shaped sheet metal part with a central part and two legs; a support insulator for connecting the drive device to the carrier is fixed at one end to the central part of the carrier; Aligned elongated holes for receiving the ends of a bolt which guides the drive tappet of the vacuum interrupter tube and transmits a drive force are arranged in the legs of the carrier; An insulating coupling rod for connecting the drive device to the deflecting lever arrangement and a contact force spring to be tensioned when the vacuum interrupter is switched on, and an abutment supporting the contact force spring are arranged between the legs of the carrier.
- the object of the invention is to design the pole drive unit in such a way that its individual parts are easy to assemble and that the pole drive unit is as light as possible with great mechanical strength.
- the distance between the legs of the wearer can be expanded by elastic bending;
- the abutment of the contact force spring is arranged in a stationary manner and is plate-shaped with a width which corresponds to the distance between the legs in the idle state;
- pins are arranged for engaging in assigned openings in the legs and the connecting device is designed as a structural unit connecting and stiffening the legs.
- the abutment of the contact force spring can be pushed in after the legs of the carrier have been bent open until the pins can engage in the openings assigned to them. If the spreading force exerted on the legs is then released, the abutment between the legs of the wearer is fixed in a form-fitting manner. The attachment of additional fasteners is therefore unnecessary.
- the flexibility of the legs of the carrier can be achieved in a known manner by a suitable choice of the thickness of the material.
- the carrier is therefore a relatively thin and light component. Nevertheless, this component is able to fulfill its task of safely guiding the deflecting lever arrangement, because the connecting device connects the legs to one another and thereby forms a closed and rigid frame.
- a cross-sectionally U-shaped base for a vacuum interrupter with a connecting device connecting the legs is known per se (US-A-4684771).
- the stiffening effect of the connection device and the strength of the base are not important, because this is only in connection with the current transmission from the movable connection pin of the vacuum interrupter to the stationary connection device.
- the vacuum switch according to the invention can be improved further by further features.
- openings can be arranged in the legs of the carrier as an access opening to a clamping device on the movable drive plunger of the vacuum interrupter. The vacuum interrupter can therefore be assembled or disassembled when the pole drive unit is otherwise completely assembled.
- the stiffening of the pole drive unit can also be contributed by the fact that the support insulator is fastened near the end of the carrier facing the vacuum interrupter by inserting an insulating support strut on the middle part of the carrier and that the edge of the middle part is rounded at the end of the carrier and / or is formed bent.
- the rounding or bending on the middle part of the carrier is facilitated by the relatively small material cross section and leads both to a local stiffening and to an advantageous control of the electrical field in this area.
- the support strut can be connected to the central part of the carrier by positive locking. This can also be achieved in an advantageous manner by bent pins which are located on the central part of the carrier.
- the legs of the carrier can be provided with recesses which are open towards the edge and aligned with the longitudinal axis of the pole drive unit for inserting a centering support of the associated vacuum interrupter.
- connection device is designed as an assembly which connects and stiffens the legs. According to developments of the invention, different designs are provided depending on the heating to be expected.
- the connecting device can advantageously be designed as a U-shaped stamped and bent part with a central part and legs, the legs of the Connection device overlap the legs of the carrier and wherein the central part of the connection device serves as a carrier of a connection contact surface. If it is intended to produce both the U-shaped support and the connection device from sheet steel, it can be advantageous, at least in the case of applications in the upper region of the intended nominal current range, to have the legs of the support with recesses which are open at the edge in the region of the movable connection bolt to provide the associated vacuum interrupter with the flexible conductor connecting the connecting device. In this way, the cross section of the closed iron circle is weakened in the region of the flexible conductor in such a way that the heating due to eddy currents does not exceed a permissible level.
- connection device For higher rated currents, which lead to greater heating, it is advisable to design the connection device as a U-shaped cast metal body provided with cooling ribs, the leg for engaging over the legs of the carrier and a central part free of ribs as the carrier of a connection contact ⁇ area.
- FIG. 1 shows a side view of a pole of a vacuum circuit breaker with the support insulators used for fastening, but without a drive device.
- FIGS. 2, 3 and 4 show in a side view, an end view and in a top view the carrier of a polar drive unit of the circuit breaker according to FIG. 1.
- FIGS. 5, 6 and 7 show a bridge-like connecting device designed as a sheet metal part in a front view, a side view and in cross section.
- FIG. 8 shows in a side view a vacuum circuit breaker with a connecting device designed as a rib cast body.
- FIGS. 9, 10 and 11 show the connection device of the circuit breaker according to FIG. 8 as an individual part in a side view, a front view and a top view.
- the pole unit 1 shown in FIG. 1 comprises a vacuum interrupter 2, a pole head 3 with an upper connection device 4 and a pole drive unit 5 with a lower connection device 6.
- the pole head 3 and the pole drive unit 5 are provided with two front stiffeners insulating support struts 7 and a rear insulating support strut 8 connected.
- a support insulator 10 is attached to the pole head 3 and the pole drive unit 5.
- the support insulators 10 serve to attach the pole unit 1 to an earthed drive box, not shown, which contains a drive device for the pole unit 1. If a vacuum switch is designed with multiple poles, a plurality of pole drive units 5 with vacuum interrupters 2 are attached to a common drive box by means of support insulators 10 (cf. drive box 51 in FIG. 8).
- the pole drive unit 5 contains a lever arrangement which comprises an upper toggle lever 11, a lower toggle lever 12 and a support lever.
- Support lever 13 is pivotable about a bearing pin 15 and, when the vacuum interrupter 2 is switched off, bears against an abutment 17 under the influence of a contact force spring 16 designed as a helical compression spring.
- a contact force spring 16 designed as a helical compression spring.
- the vacuum interrupter 2 is transferred into its switch-on position by introducing a driving force into the lower toggle lever 12 in the direction of the arrow 20.
- the toggle levers 11 and 12 are thereby brought into a position close to the extended position, the support lever 13 being lifted off the abutment 17 after the switching contacts of the vacuum interrupter 2 have touched.
- the pole drive unit 5 has a carrier 21 made of sheet steel, which is shown in more detail in FIGS. 2, 3 and 4.
- the carrier 21 has two legs 22 and a middle part 23 in a U-shaped basic shape.
- the middle part 23 faces the support insulators 10 (FIG. 1).
- the rear support strut 8 is positively connected to the central part 23 by two pins 24.
- the section of the support strut 8 resting on the middle part 23 also serves as a support for the lower one
- Support insulator 10 The lower support insulator 10 and the support strut 8 are thus simultaneously fastened to the pole drive unit 5 by a fastening screw 25 indicated in FIG. 1.
- the edges 28 of the central part 23 are rounded for reinforcement and at the same time for electrical relief.
- the legs 22 of the carrier 21 are provided with aligned elongated holes 27 (FIG. 2).
- Elongated holes engage the ends of a guide pin 30 which articulates the upper toggle lever 11 with the movable connecting pin 26 (FIG. 1).
- the other end of the flexible conductor 33 ends at a connection contact surface 34 belonging to the connection device 6.
- FIG. 2 further features of the carrier 21 in the lower region of the legs 22 are narrow rectangular openings 35 which are used to engage correspondingly shaped pins 36 of the plate-shaped abutment 17 the Have contact force spring 16.
- the carrier 21 is dimensioned such that the legs 22 can be elastically spread in order to align the pins 36 in the region of the openings 35.
- Abolition of the spreading force is the abutment 17 between the
- the legs 22 of the carrier 21 have recesses 37 which are aligned with the longitudinal axis of the vacuum interrupter 2 and which are provided for engaging a centering support 38 for the vacuum interrupter 2.
- Another feature of the carrier 21 is a window-like opening 40 arranged in the middle part 23, which serves to pass through the insulating coupling rod 14 shown in FIG. 8, which is to be connected to the lower toggle lever 12 in the manner mentioned.
- the legs 22 are provided with recesses 41 which are open at the edge and are located in the region through which the flexible current band 33 extends. The purpose of these recesses is to weaken the cross section of the magnetic circuit which is formed around the current path when both the carrier 21 and the connecting device 6 to be described with reference to FIGS. 5, 6 and 7 consist of a magnetically conductive material .
- the connecting device 6 is likewise a sheet metal part of U-shaped cross section with a shape adapted to the carrier 21 in such a way that its legs 43 overlap the legs 22 of the carrier 21. Holes 44 in the legs 43 are provided for a screw connection.
- the connection device 6 On the front side, the connection device 6 is open in the upper part for the passage of the current band 33. In the lower part there is a central web 45 connecting the legs 43 for supporting the end of the flexible conductor 33 provided with the contact surface 34. The upper ends of the legs 43 are with bent tabs 46 provide for fastening the two front insulating support struts 7.
- connection device 6 stiffens the support 21 in such a way that, despite a relatively small material cross section, sufficient strength is achieved in order to reliably absorb the forces which occur without disturbing deformations.
- the heating of the carrier 21 and the connection device 6 remains low due to the recesses 41 in the legs 21.
- the vacuum circuit breaker described is to be operated in the range of very high nominal currents, the heat to be dissipated from the vacuum interrupter 2 cannot be completely dissipated from the described parts via the movable connecting bolt 26. In this case it is advisable to choose a design of the connection device according to FIG. 8 and FIGS. 9, 10 and 11.
- FIG. 8 schematically shows a complete vacuum circuit breaker with a pole unit 50, a drive device 51 and with support insulators 52 connecting the pole unit 50 and the drive device 51.
- a connection device 53 attached to the carrier 21 of the pole drive unit. This is designed to enlarge its surface area for the purpose of better heat dissipation to the surroundings than metal cast bodies provided with ribs.
- Figures 9, 10 and 11 show details of this design.
- the connecting device 53 is U-shaped in cross-section such that legs 54 engage over the legs 22 of the carrier 21. Ribs 55 extend in part over almost the entire height of the carrier 21 and, insofar as the openings provided in the legs 22 of the carrier 21 allow it, also over the width of the legs 22. Web 56 between the legs 53 serves, similarly to the connecting device 6, for supporting the end of a flexible current band. It can also be seen from FIG. 8 that the pole head 57 is also provided with ribs in a manner corresponding to FIGS. 9, 10 and 11, in order to also ensure improved heat dissipation at the upper end of the vacuum interrupter 2.
