Abstract

The method for folding printed matter and putting in envelopes, uses an endless printing paper, which can be printed or if required is cut before printing. The paper is supplied by a roll, rolled and cut in manner that the short side of the paper lies in the transport direction and the sheet cut off has the desired size. Both sides of the sheet are folded over, where letter sleeve paper supplied from at least one roller is applied and glued. Additionally, the letter sleeve paper is cut off at right angles to the conveying direction. The letter sleeve has larger inside dimensions that the outer dimensions of the printed matter piece. The letter sleeve track(s) pull the one side cut sheet from a cutting unit, so that the sheet can be cut off on the second side.
