Titeltitle

Valve-diaphragm mechanism for maintaining a constant partial pressure of gases in filled liquids when the container is partially emptied.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

A beverage bottle with a capacity of 1000, 2000 or more ml usually consists of a container in a variety of shapes and a closure.

Problemproblem

The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem that a drink loses its original freshness and taste relatively quickly when it is half empty and left closed (faster or slower depending on the ambient temperature). The gas dissolved in the liquid partially escapes and mixes with the air that has entered when the container is partially emptied. The composition of the remaining liquid differs from the original state. The drink becomes stale.

This problem is solved by the measures of claim 1.

Vorteilhafte Wirkung der ErfindungAdvantageous effect of the invention

The invention ensures that no exchange of concentration can occur along the concentration gradient of the gases dissolved in the liquid and the air that has entered during the partial emptying of the container.

Darstellung der ErfindungDescription of the invention

Das Erste zeigt:One embodiment of the invention is explained using Figures 1 and 2, another using Figures 3 and 4. The first shows:

Fig.l das Behältniss im Ausgangszustand, geschlossen (inFig.l the container in its initial state, closed (in

in this case a bottle)
Fig.2 the container after partial emptying in the closed state

das zweite Beispiel zeigt:
Fig.3 siehe Fig.l
the second example shows:
Fig.3 see Fig.l

(in diesem Falle ein Standbehältniss z.b.ein Faß )
Fig.4 siehe Fig.2
(in this case a container such as a barrel)
Fig.4 see Fig.2

Figures 1 and 2 show a reusable plastic bottle with a screw cap. A valve is incorporated into the bottom of the bottle, which allows air to enter but is hermetically sealed to the outside (several designs possible) (4). The folded or stretchable impermeable membrane is attached to the bottom in a circular manner in such a way that it curves into the inside of the bottle, sealing it hermetically and resting against the inside of the bottle (3). If the bottle cap (2) is now opened and part of the liquid (8) is tipped out, an approximately equal amount of air (7) passes through the valve into the space covered by the membrane.
closed part of the bottle. As the membrane unfolds due to the negative pressure created when the liquid is poured out, the air is also sucked in through the valve. If the bottle is now put down, the liquid presses on the membrane. The pressure is passed on via the air now in the bottle and the valve at the bottom of the bottle closes. If the bottle is now closed, no exchange of concentration can take place between the air in the bottle and the gas dissolved in the liquid.

Fig. 3 and 4 show the same mechanism of action using a barrel-like container, in which the liquid is drawn off from a tap at the bottom. As liquid comes out, air is sucked in through the valve (4) (7) and reaches the part of the container separated by the membrane (3). If the tap is closed, gas exchange can no longer take place. The valve must have a larger diameter than the outlet so that no air is sucked in through the outlet opening.
