Verfahren zur Herstellung von Natriumboroformiat Es ist bekannt, daß sich beim Behandeln wässeriger Lösungen von Natriumformiat mit Borsäure oder wässeriger Lösungen von Natriumborat mit Ameisensäure das Natriumsalz der Borameisensäure bildet und durch Einengen der Lösung kristallisiert zu gewinnen ist (s. Die Reaktion verläuft praktisch quantitativ, so daß beim Einengen der Lauge reines Natriumboroformiat kristallisiert. Das Salz schmilzt bei zro° zu einer klaren Flüssigkeit. Die Analyse ergibt folgende Werte: H3B03 37,3 %, HCOONa 4I,0 0;ö, H.0 21,7 0/'p. Hierdurch ist die Identität mit dem Natriumboroformiat C H, 05 B Na # 2 H2 0 bewiesen. Die Bildung des Salzes erfolgt nach der Gleichung NaBO.=-@-CO ; 4H.,O=CH1O5BNa#2H.0. . Beispiel In einen Autoklaven mit schnellaufendem Rührwerk füllt man 201 einer r 5°/" igen Lösung von borsaurem Natrium ein. Man schließt den Autoklaven, erhitzt ihn auf r8o° C und stellt einen Kohlenoxyddruck von 14 Attn. her. Nach Verlauf von 8 Stunden öffnet man den Autoklaven, zieht die Flüssigkeit ab und dampft sie zur Kristallisation ein.
