Dies wird bei einer Klemme der obengenannten Art dadurch auf einfache Weise erreicht, daß die Klemmfeder zumindest im Bereich der Enden geschlitzt ist und im Schlitz eine Trennwand eines beide Klemmfederteile in Spannrichtung beaufschlagenden von der Außenseite des Gehäuses betätigbaren Spannschiebers verschiebbar geführt ist. Eine einfache Möglichkeit zum Beaufschlagen der Klemmfeder durch den Spannschieber ergibt sich, wenn der Spannschieber an der Trennwand angeformte Spannschultern aufweist. Um ein Abrollen des einen Endes beim Spannen an den Spannschultern und damit eine möglichst weite Öffnung auf geringen Raum zu erreichen ist es weiterhin vorteilhaft, wenn die Spannschultern ballig ausgeführt sind.
