Abstract

The noise simulator/generator is fitted to a vehicle and is driven by a control which receives information on the speed of the vehicle. Sensors (13) monitor wheel speed, motor speed etc. and the control drives the noise generator to simulate engine noise corresponding to the speed of the vehicle. The noise is produced by loudspeakers inside and outside the vehicle. The noise patterns are stored on a CD or on an audio cassette. A selection of sound types is controlled by a microprocessor and by the driver selection. The system can be fitted to all types of vehicle including boats and aircraft.

Description

The invention relates to a device for imitation of engine and driving noises in motor vehicles.

Motor vehicles with an electric motor are increasingly used Drives developed. These electric vehicles have dan notably a fairly low noise emission. This low noise emission, as ambitious as it is may have a disadvantage that should not be underestimated safety aspect. Because these vehicles are so quiet that it can be heard from passers-by or children playing not heard when approaching. Especially at Playing children are sounds of approaching Vehicles as an approaching danger in the lower sub awareness saved. This subconscious is with appropriate caution coupled. Approaches now a vehicle with almost no sound, so it will also not perceived or too late and it can easily accidents occur.

Motor vehicles, in particular passenger vehicles, also have a very specific driving, exhaust and moto noise, which is not insignificant for the wellbeing find responsibility for the driver and the vehicle occupants is literal. The driver's well-being in turn contributes significantly to the safe mastery of the Vehicle and thus for general traffic safety at.

The object of the present invention is to provide a create direction with which the driving noise of a Vehicle in a more noticeable and well-being find the vehicle occupant improving frequency can be brought rich.

The task is solved in that one of the driving test speed activatable measuring device see the measuring device with a noise generator is in operative connection and the noise generator ver with at least one noise emitting device is bound.

It can also be provided that a speed dependent Gige measuring device is provided, the measuring device is operatively connected to a noise generator and the noise generator with a noise emission direction is connected.

These measures can speed and speed speed-dependent noise frequencies are emitted. These noise frequencies are in a frequency richly reproduced by the one hand from the surroundings is perceived as a danger signal and on the other hand increases the well-being of vehicle occupants. In the Dependence on the speed generated noise and  Sound frequencies of the noise generator are by means of Indoor and / or outdoor speakers reproduced.

The application of the present invention is not only limited to passenger cars. So can also everyone else, from an internal combustion engine, an elec tromotor, the wind, a team of horses, a steam engine machines or in other forms powered vehicles such as e.g. B. boats, planes and trains with the invention be prepared.

The invention is in the accompanying Drawings are shown and will be closer wrote; it shows:

Fig. 1 ein Fahrzeug mit einer Meßvorrichtung, die über ein Drehzahlinformationsübertragungsmit tel mit einem Geräuschgenerator in Verbindung steht, der wiederum die generierten Geräu schinformationen über ein Geräuschinformati onsübertragungsmittel an Innen- und Außenlaut sprecher übermittelt und abstrahlt; Fig. 1 shows a vehicle with a measuring device, which is connected via a speed information transfer means with a noise generator, which in turn transmits and radiates the generated noise information via a noise information transmission means to the inside and outside speakers;

Fig. 2 shows the front area of a vehicle with a drive engine that drives a transmission and an alternator that are connected via a speed information transmission means to a microprocessor-controlled noise generator, which in turn relates information from a noise carrier.

The motor vehicle 10 shown in FIG. 1, for example, has a measuring device 14 , which are connected to different rotating components. Possible components are, for example, the impellers 19 , an alternator 20 , a drive machine 11 or a transmission 23 .

Der Geräuschge nerator 12 wandelt die Drehzahlinformationen in ent sprechende Geräuschinformationen um.The information determined by the measuring device 14 is passed on via a speed information transmission means 13 to a noise generator 12 . The speed information transmission means 13 can be, for example, a metal cable, a light guide or a radio transmission device. The noise generator 12 converts the speed information into corresponding noise information.

The conversion of the noise information can be carried out by a microprocessor 21 , which in turn is in operative connection with a noise carrier 22 . On the sound carrier 22 digitized sounds, sounds or tones of different frequencies and frequency ranges are usually stored. Possible forms of the sound carrier 22 are non-volatile RAM chips (SRAM), compact discs, or digital tapes.

In one embodiment, the noise generator 12 can be operatively connected to a noise carrier 22 without the noise being manipulated by a microprocessor. Depending on the speed information, a different sound is selected or the sound played back faster. Possible noise carriers are compact discs (CDs) or audio cassettes.

The sound information generated by the noise generator 12 is transmitted with the aid of a noise information transfer means 15 to speakers 16 and / or 17 . The loudspeakers can be both internal loudspeakers 17 , which emit their sound waves 18 into the interior of the vehicle 10 , and external loudspeakers 16 , which emit their sound waves 18 to the environment.

It can happen that the imitated sounds are undesirable; for this purpose, a switch 24 is provided with which, for example, the noise information transmission means 15 can be interrupted and thus the noise radiation can be switched off. The volume of the emitted sound waves 18 can also be varied by means of a corresponding controller, not shown.

In order to meet the well-being-enhancing sonic taste of a large number of potential users, the noise generator 12 provides the option of choosing between different noises. From classical music to engine noises from large-volume vehicles or the driving noise of a steam locomotive, a wide range of sounds and noises can be covered.

Such imitations of noise can also be found in air and Watercraft can be installed. So z. B. manipu engine noise and vibrations of different frequencies or frequency range be imitated in motor or sailing boats. Should for those not driven by a rotary engine A driving noise are imitated in vehicles, so that is Use of vehicles powered by external energy gun-dependent noise generators provided.
