Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur Anzeige der Lage einer drehbaren Welle, insbesondere der Welle einer Werkzeugmaschine, die eine der Drehbewegung der Achse folgende, in einem zur Drehachse konzentrischen Kreis liegende, mit mehreren Öffnungen versehene Scheibe und eine die Scheibe beaufschlagende Lichtquelle sowie in räumlicher Zuordnung zu den Öffnungen in wenigstens zwei Kreisen unterschiedlicher Radien angeordnete photoempfindliche Elemente enthält, wobei der erste Kreis in regelmäßigen Abständen voneinander mehrere, vorzugsweise zehn photoelektrische Elemente und die Scheibe in einem zugeordneten Kreis eine einzige Öffnung aufweist, während die Scheibe auf einem entsprechenden zweiten Kreis mehrere, vorzugsweise zehn regelmäßig verteilte Öffnungen enthält und die zugeordneten photoelektrischen Elemente auf einem Kreisbogen angeordnet sind, der sich aus einem Winkel bestimmt, der einem Drehwinkel der Scheibe zwischen zwei benachbarten Öffnungen entspricht. Dieser Nachteil läßt sich in gewissem Maße dadurch beheben, daß die Anoden der Kaltkathodenröhre über einen einzigen Widerstand gespeist werden. Ein weiterer Nachteil besteht aber noch darin, daß eine Umschaltung von 9 auf 0 bei der ersten Dekade nicht immer im gleichen Zeitpunkt erfolgt wie die entsprechende Umschaltung bei der zweiten Dekade.Such a device is already known.
