Den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Lackes, welcher einen Schutzüberzug für Materialien aller Art, wie Eisen, Holz, Mauerwerk u. s. w., abgeben soll. Der neue Lack wird aus Ricinusöl gewonnen, er zeichnet sich vor den bisher bekannten; meist Kautschuk, Leinöl oder dergl. enthaltenden Lacken dadurch aus, dafs er, aufser wie jene wasserdicht zu sein und isolirend zu wirken, auch gegen ■ die Einwirkung der Sonnenstrahlen widerstandsfähig ist.
