Abstract

The optical coupling has a housing (11) with a first seating (12) for the electrooptical component (13) and a second seating (14) for the light conductor (15), which is positioned in the radial direction. The housing has a base surface (26) for mounting on a printed circuit board (27), the first seating provided in the base surface and having stop surfaces (22) ensuring that the contact side (25) of the electrooptical component is located adjacent the base surface. An independent claim for use of a light conductor with a number of optical fibres for an optical coupling is also included.
