Abstract
The invention relates to the field of plug connectors, in particular to a battery connector for a vehicle, which comprises a terminal part, a waterproof inner assembly sleeved in the center of the terminal part and a waterproof outer assembly sleeved outside the waterproof inner assembly; one end of the terminal part is connected with a mounting screw; the waterproof inner assembly comprises a first cover body, a second cover body and a first waterproof ring, wherein the first cover body and the second cover body are connected up and down; one side of the waterproof outer assembly is provided with a second waterproof ring. The invention aims to provide a vehicle battery connector with waterproof performance. The invention also provides a manufacturing method of the vehicle battery connector, which is simple to operate.

Technical Field
The invention relates to the field of plug connectors, in particular to a battery connector for a vehicle and a manufacturing method thereof.
Background
Electric vehicles have become a common vehicle in people's daily lives, which rely on batteries to provide power. Besides providing power for the motor, the storage battery also needs to provide electric energy for devices such as instruments, brakes, lighting lamps, horns and the like, and meanwhile, signal transmission is needed between the devices.

The terminal part is provided with a first groove for installing the first waterproof ring.
The technical scheme is further improved in that a through hole for connecting the mounting screw is formed above the terminal part.
The technical scheme is further improved in that the first cover body comprises a first cross plate, a first through hole formed in the center of the first cross plate, and a plurality of clamping hooks arranged on the periphery of the first cross plate, and a first accommodating cavity for accommodating a first waterproof ring is further formed in one side of the first through hole.

A method of manufacturing a battery connector for a vehicle, comprising the steps of:
s1, providing a terminal part subjected to CNC machining;
s2, mounting the mounting screw in the through hole of the terminal part, and sleeving the first waterproof ring into the first groove of the terminal part;
s3, sleeving the first cover body and the second cover body outside the first waterproof ring through the terminal part, and compacting and buckling the first cover body and the second cover body to obtain a pre-installation assembly;
and S4, forming a waterproof outer assembly by injection molding of the pre-installation assembly to obtain the vehicle battery connector.
The beneficial effects of the invention are as follows:
the waterproof device is simple in structure, the first waterproof ring and the second waterproof ring are arranged to play a waterproof role, the connection tightness degree of the connector and the battery is increased, water is prevented from penetrating from the space between the connector and the battery, and the waterproof performance of the waterproof device is effectively improved.

Further, as shown in fig. 2, a second groove 35 for receiving the second waterproof ring 31 is provided at one side of the connection platform 33.
As shown in fig. 3, further, the first waterproof ring 23 is a square waterproof ring.

As shown in fig. 3, further, the first waterproof ring 23 and the second waterproof ring 31 are both made of a silicone rubber, and are manufactured by a silicone rubber extrusion device.
A method of manufacturing a battery connector for a vehicle, comprising the steps of:
s1, providing a CNC processed terminal part 10;
s2, mounting the mounting screw 40 in the through hole 12 of the terminal part 10, and sleeving the first waterproof ring 23 into the first groove 11 of the terminal part 10;
s3, sleeving the first cover body 21 and the second cover body 22 outside the first waterproof ring 23 through the terminal part 10, and compacting and buckling the first cover body 21 and the second cover body 22 to obtain a pre-installation assembly;
and S4, forming the waterproof outer assembly 30 by injection molding of the pre-installation assembly to obtain the vehicle battery connector.
Compared with the prior art, the vehicle battery connector provided by the invention has a simple structure, and the first waterproof ring 23 and the second waterproof ring 31 are arranged to play a waterproof role, so that the connection tightness of the connector and the battery is increased, the water is prevented from penetrating from the space between the connector and the battery, and the waterproof performance of the vehicle battery connector is effectively improved.
