Description

Network printer equipment monitoring method and system
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of network printer device monitoring, and in particular, to a method and a system for monitoring a network printer device.
Background
Network printers play an increasingly important role today in the proliferation of information as an integral office supply and standard computer output device. It is not difficult to find that the number of documents printed through a network in each industry is rapidly increasing, but the network printer accounts of each unit are not clear at present, and the consumable use and the device running condition management lack effective means and monitoring tools, and most of the network printers have open ports and security risks such as illegal access, confidential document leakage and the like.
The traditional printer management system is generally unique to manufacturers, only supports self-home products, and cannot perform centralized management and monitoring analysis on the running states of respective printing equipment, consumable management, consumable compatibility, consumable, account management, management personnel, use departments, paper statistics, consumable consumption and the like.
Namely, the problems mainly faced at present are as follows:
1) At present, the network printers have wide distribution area after self-commissioning, the ledger information is fuzzy, only registration management can be carried out in a static mode, and a unified set of management system is lacked to carry out centralized management on the running conditions and ledgers of all the network printers in the whole world;
2) The online condition and the running state of the printer equipment cannot be monitored in time, the brand and the model of the network printer cannot be counted and identified intelligently, the information position access condition is achieved, and the like. Particularly, the printer risk management such as high-risk ports, weak passwords, security holes and the like also lack corresponding monitoring means;
3) Basic information such as brands, models, serial numbers and the like of printers cannot be dynamically managed, the use conditions of consumables such as paper and ink boxes of the printers can only be logged on specific equipment for statistics and summarization, the condition that the consumables are not replaced in time often occurs, and the consumption quantity of the consumables such as the ink boxes, the selenium drums and the paper does not have statistical means, so that the consumables are wasted and the cost is increased.
Therefore, in order to solve the above-mentioned problems, a method or system for dynamically monitoring the operation condition of a network printer device is needed to dynamically monitor and intensively analyze the operation condition of the printer device on the whole network, and to timely master the operation condition of the printer device, so as to realize unified monitoring management.
