Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to the technical field of medical appliances, in particular to a gelatin sponge strip conveying system for temporary arterial embolism.
Background
Vascular embolization is an important technique for interventional medicine, and its clinical application is very wide. For example, internal iliac artery embolism for treating pelvic fracture, postpartum hemorrhage, internal maxillo artery embolism for treating craniofacial fracture, hepatic artery, spleen artery, renal artery embolism for treating visceral rupture, etc.
The selection of suitable embolic materials is the basis for ensuring the success of the embolization procedure. At present, embolic materials are various, and solid spring rings, gelatin sponge, polyethylene particles, liquid absolute ethyl alcohol, medical glue and the like are included. Among them, gelatin sponge is the most commonly used solid temporary embolic material, which is widely used for treating tumor and hemorrhagic disease due to its low cost, non-toxicity and good biocompatibility, and the gelatin sponge in the body is degraded for about 14 days, and the blood vessel is recanalized, which is the property that permanent embolic materials such as spring coil do not have.
However, currently available gelatin sponge embolic products are only gelatin sponge particles, which vary in diameter from 150 μm to 2000 μm, and do not fully meet clinical needs. For coarser vessels, temporary diversion of blood flow, simple central embolization, etc., a larger volume of gelatin sponge embolizing material is needed, which is easy to deliver.
Clinically, doctors adopt self-made gelatin sponge strips to cope with the above conditions. However, the intraoperative self-made procedure is long, unstable (in volume), and prone to violations of sterility requirements. More importantly, no effective delivery system exists, and the gelatin sponge swells when meeting water, so that the tube is easily blocked or the embolism is easily failed by directly pushing with a syringe.
Aiming at the problems, the invention provides a gelatin sponge strip conveying system for temporary arterial embolism, which can meet the requirements, and can be widely applied to central embolism of peripheral coarser blood vessels, blood flow diversion and other interventional treatments, and has very broad prospects.
