Description

Housing equipped with a tie rod and method for producing a housing equipped with a tie rod
Technical Field
The invention relates to a housing equipped with a pull rod and a hydraulic device. The invention also relates to a method for producing a housing equipped with a tie rod and to a method for mounting a housing equipped with a tie rod on and/or in a hydraulic device.
Background
Fig. 1 shows a schematic view of a conventional lid, which is known to the applicant as internal prior art.
The lid 10, partially reproduced in fig. 1, at least partially encloses an inner volume 12 into which a pull rod 14 extends. Additionally, a pull rod 14 extends from the lid 10 through an opening 16 formed in the lid 10. The inner section 14a of the tie rod 14 is located in the inner volume 12, while the outer section 14b of the tie rod 14 projects forwardly on the outside of the lid 10.
The opening 16 formed in the cover 10 is sealed in a fluid-tight manner at least by means of an O-ring 18 arranged on the inner section 14a of the tension rod 14. The O-ring 18 is located within the inner bore of a nut 20 which is securely threaded onto the threads 14c of the inner section 14a of the draw rod 14. The O-ring 18 pressed into the bore of the nut 20 is pressed in such a way that it is sealed in a fluid-tight manner not only by the contact of the O-ring 18 with the cover 10, but also by the contact of the O-ring 18 with the pull rod 14, but also by the contact of the O-ring 18 with the nut 20. Furthermore, the nut 20 has a comparatively long extension along a central longitudinal axis running centrally through its bore, so that the region of the nut 20 shown by means of the arrow 22 can be pressed against the tension rod 14. In the case of the cap 10 of fig. 1, however, the relatively long extension of the nut 20 along its central longitudinal axis delimits the stroke of a sleeve (not shown) which is displaceably arranged on the inner section 14a of the tension rod 14.
The conventional cover 10, which is schematically illustrated in fig. 1, is fastened to a flange 24 of a (only partially reproduced) hydraulic unit in such a way that the outer section 14b of the tie rod 14 projects through a bore 26 formed in the flange 24. The cap 10 is pressed against the flange 24 by means of a further nut 28 screwed onto the thread 14d of the outer section 14b of the tie rod 14. Although the further nut 28 has a significantly shorter extension along the central longitudinal axis running centrally through its bore compared to the nut 20, the further nut 28 may also be pressed on the tension rod 14, as is reproduced schematically by means of the arrow 30.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention provides a housing equipped with a tie rod having the features of claim 1, a hydraulic device having the features of claim 8, a method for producing a housing equipped with a tie rod having the features of claim 10 and a method for fitting a housing equipped with a tie rod on and/or in a hydraulic device having the features of claim 11.
Advantages of the invention
The invention provides a housing equipped with a pull rod, which has a reduced structural length compared to the prior art while maintaining the maximum possible travel of a corresponding sleeve, which sleeve is displaceably arranged on the side of its nut directed away from the housing part of the housing equipped with the pull rod. The invention likewise provides a housing equipped with a pull rod, which, while maintaining the structural length, has an increased maximum possible travel of the corresponding sleeve compared to the prior art. Furthermore, the invention contributes to reliably sealing the inner volume of a corresponding housing equipped with a tie rod according to the invention. As explained more precisely below, the housing equipped with a tie rod according to the invention can also be reliably mounted on and/or in the hydraulic device in such a way that undesired adjustment or loosening of the housing equipped with a tie rod during the service life of the hydraulic device is not/hardly feared.
In an advantageous embodiment, the housing provided with the tie rod has an annular sealing element arranged on the tie rod and an opening through which an outer section of the tie rod protrudes out of the housing part, the opening being sealed liquid-tightly at least by means of the annular sealing element, wherein the annular sealing element is arranged on the outer section of the tie rod. Such positioning of the annular sealing element not only contributes to a further reduction of the structural length of the corresponding housing of the equipment drawbar while maintaining the maximum possible travel of its slidable sleeve, but also significantly reduces the risk of damage to the annular sealing element during the service life of the housing of the equipment drawbar.
For example, the annular sealing element may be an annular shaped seal, an O-ring, and/or an annular hardened adhesive. This makes it possible to use a component that can be produced inexpensively as an annular sealing element.
Preferably, a central longitudinal axis running centrally through the inner bore of the nut can be defined, wherein the contact surface of the contact housing part of the nut has a first minimum outer diameter oriented perpendicularly to the central longitudinal axis of the inner bore of the nut, which is greater than a second maximum outer diameter oriented perpendicularly to the central longitudinal axis of the inner bore of the nut of a subsection of the nut that can be inserted into the inner hollow space of the sleeve. The contact surface thus provides a sufficiently large support surface for the housing part. In particular, a first minimum outer diameter of the contact surface of the nut, which is oriented perpendicularly to the central longitudinal axis of the tie rod, can be selected relatively freely.
Preferably, the nut is clamped firmly on the associated tie rod. Since the annular sealing element, when it is arranged on the outer section of the tie rod, does not contact the nut screwed firmly on the same tie rod, there is no fear of damaging the annular sealing element when firmly clamping the nut, even if the nut is configured with a relatively small extension along its central longitudinal axis running centrally through its bore hole.
For example, the nut can be clamped firmly to the associated tie rod by means of three radial depressions, two adjacent radial depressions each being offset by an angle of 120 ° from one another. This ensures a secure retention of the nut on the associated tie rod.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the housing provided with the tie rod, the outer surface of the nut is made of zinc. Since the annular sealing element fastened to the outer section of the tie rod in the housing equipped with the tie rod according to the invention prevents any contact of the nut with the liquid present outside the housing part, the conventional necessity of coating the nut with a protective layer which is more resistant to liquids than zinc is eliminated.
The aforementioned advantages also play a role in a hydraulic device having a housing equipped with a tie rod of this type, which is mounted on and/or in the hydraulic device in such a way that the outer section of the tie rod of the housing equipped with a tie rod projects through a bore in the flange of the hydraulic device.
The hydraulic device may be, for example, a master brake cylinder, a piston device or a hydraulic brake system. The invention may thus be used in many ways. It is noted, however, that the examples mentioned here for the hydraulic device are not to be interpreted as final.
The aforementioned advantages are also ensured in an embodiment of a corresponding production method for a housing equipped with a tie rod, wherein the production method can be improved in accordance with the above-described embodiment of the housing equipped with a tie rod.
In addition, the embodiment of the corresponding method for mounting the housing equipped with the tie rod on and/or in the hydraulic device also offers the advantages of the hydraulic device described above, wherein the method can be improved according to the above-described embodiment of the hydraulic device.

Detailed Description
Fig. 2a to 2g show schematic sub-views of a first embodiment of a housing equipped with a tie rod.
The housing equipped with the tie rod, which is represented schematically in fig. 2a, has a housing element 40, which is shaped in such a way that the housing element 40 at least partially encloses an inner volume 42. The housing part 40 may be a cover, for example. It is also noted, however, that the configurability of the tie-rod equipped housing described below is not limited to any particular shape and particular material for housing member 40.
The housing provided with the tie rods also comprises tie rods 46 which project into the inner volume 42 and out of the housing part 40 through openings 44 formed in the housing part 40. The Tie Rod 46 can be understood in particular as a connecting Rod (Tie-Rod). The inner section 46a of the tie rod 46 projects into the inner volume 42, while the outer section 46b of the tie rod 46 projects forward on the outside of the housing part 40.
The nut 48 of the housing equipped with the tie rod is screwed firmly onto the inner section 46a of the tie rod 46 projecting into the inner volume 42 in such a way that the contact surface 48a of the nut 48 or a washer arranged on the tie rod 46 between the nut 48 and the housing part 40 contacts the housing part 40. In the example of fig. 2a to 2g, the contact surface 48a of the nut 48 contacts the housing part 40. The nut 48 is shown enlarged in fig. 2b to 2d from different sides. The nut 48 may also be understood as a bolt nut or a groove. The nut 48 is preferably screwed firmly onto a thread 46c, for example an M10 thread, formed on the inner section 46a of the pull rod 46. To this end, the internal thread of the adaptation thread 46c can be configured on at least one sub-inner face of the inner bore 48b extending through the nut 48. The inner bore 48b of the nut 48 can be understood in particular as a cylindrical inner bore 48 b.
The sleeve 50 is displaceably arranged on the inner section 46a of the tension rod 46 on the side of the nut 48 directed away from the housing part 40, wherein the tension rod 46 projects through an inner hollow space 52 of the sleeve 50. The sleeve 50 is reproduced in an enlarged manner from different sides in fig. 2e to 2 g. The sleeve 50 may also be understood as a sliding sleeve, a sliding bearing sleeve or a sleeve. The sleeve 50 can be made of plastic, in particular thermoplastic, for example. A particularly advantageous material for the sleeve 50 is, for example, Polyoxymethylene (POM).
As is recognizable in fig. 2e to 2g, the inner hollow space 52 of the sleeve 50 is formed on the side oriented toward the nut 48 in such a way that the sleeve 50 can be pushed over at least one subsection 48c of the nut 48 directed away from the housing part 40, so that at least this subsection 48c of the nut 48 projects into the inner hollow space 52 of the sleeve 50. At least the partial section 48c of the nut 48 directed away from the housing part 40 can thereby be inserted into the inner hollow space 52 of the sleeve 50. At least the partial section 48c of the nut 48 can be inserted into the inner hollow space 52 of the sleeve 50, it being understood that at least the partial section 48c of the nut 48 which then projects into the inner hollow space 52 is enclosed/framed two-dimensionally by the sleeve 50 in a cross section which is oriented perpendicularly to the central longitudinal axis 56 of the tie rod 46 and which intersects the partial section 48c which projects into the inner hollow space 52.
The advantageous embodiment of the inner hollow space 52 of the sleeve 50 described in the preceding paragraph in such a way that at least the partial section 48c of the nut 48 can be inserted into the inner hollow space 52 makes it possible to reduce the structural length/structural space length of the housing equipped with the tie rod while maintaining the maximum possible stroke of the sleeve 50. The reduction of the overall length of the housing provided with the tie rod in comparison with the prior art facilitates the assembly of the housing provided with the tie rod or of the hydraulic device designed with the housing provided with the tie rod, in particular on and/or in a vehicle/motor vehicle. Alternatively, this advantageous embodiment of the inner hollow space 52 of the sleeve 50 can also be used to increase the maximum possible travel of the sleeve 50 while maintaining the structural length of the housing equipped with the tie rod.
The widened portion 52a of the inner hollow space 52 is preferably formed on the side of the sleeve 50 oriented toward the nut 48, so that at least a partial section 48c of the nut 48 directed away from the housing part 40 can be inserted into the widened portion 52a of the inner hollow space 52. The widened portion 52a of the hollow space 52 can also be referred to as a cavity of the inner hollow space 52, into which at least the partial section 48c of the nut 48 can be sunk. The widened portion 52a of the inner hollow space 52 may be configured with a cylindrical shell-shaped inner surface. The smallest inner diameter Φ of the cylindrical shell-shaped inner face of the widened portion 52a of the inner hollow space 52 can be sufficiently large to enable at least the subsection 48a of the nut 48 to be sunk into it. For example, the smallest inner diameter Φ of the cylindrical shell-shaped inner face of the widened portion 52a of the inner hollow space 52 may be at least 18 mm.
As can be seen in fig. 2e to 2g, the sleeve 50 is configured with a spring element 50a and a tab 50b in order to clamp the sheet piece 53 firmly on the sleeve 50. However, this design of the sleeve 50 can be chosen relatively freely.
The housing equipped with a tie rod, which is partially schematically illustrated in fig. 2a to 2g, furthermore has an annular sealing element 54 arranged on the tie rod 46. The outer section 46b of the tension rod 46 projects out of the housing part 40 through the opening 44, which is sealed in a fluid-tight manner at least by means of an annular sealing element 54. A further advantage of the housing equipped with a tie rod of fig. 2a to 2g is that the annular sealing element 54 is arranged on the outer section 46b of the tie rod 46. This arrangement of the annular sealing element 54 can also be adapted to the fact that the annular sealing element 54 is supported on the outside of the housing part 40 in comparison with the above-described prior art of the inner volume 42.
Arranging the annular sealing element 54 on the outer section 46b of the tie rod 46 differently from the prior art may achieve a further reduction in the structural length of the housing which equips the tie rod, while maintaining the maximum possible travel of the sleeve 50. In particular, the "seal element installation length" of the annular seal element 54 can be saved in this way with this installation length of the housing equipped with the tie rod. As will become apparent from the following description, there is generally sufficient installation space for the annular sealing element 54 on the outside of the housing part 40, in which installation space the annular sealing element 54 can be integrated, so that the housing equipped with the tie rod equipped with the annular sealing element 54 (substantially) does not have an influence on the installation length of the housing equipped with the tie rod.
Another advantage of the annular sealing element 54 being supported on the outside of the housing part 40 out of the inner volume 42 is the liquid-tight sealing of the outer edge of the opening 44. This helps to effectively prevent liquid from penetrating/entering the inner volume 42 from the outside of the housing part 40 through the opening 44 and in this way improves the corrosion protection for all components of the housing equipped with the tie rod which are arranged inside the inner volume 42.
By way of example only, in the tie rod equipped housing of fig. 2a to 2g, the annular sealing element 54 is an O-ring 54. As a material for the O-ring 54, for example, an elastomer can be used. Inexpensive standard parts can therefore continue to be used for the O-ring 54. Alternatively, however, instead of the O-ring 54, an additional annular shaped seal or an annular hardened adhesive may be used as the annular sealing element 54. As the ring-shaped hardening adhesive, for example, silicone or acrylic may be used. To separate the adhesive, the dispensing needle of the dispensing robot may be moved in a circular orbit about the central longitudinal axis 56 of the respective tie rod 46. Alternatively, the adhesive can also be dispensed in a targeted manner by means of a plastic ring pressed onto the tie rod 46 and subsequently cured in a ring shape.
The outer surface of the nut 48, in particular the entire outer surface of the nut 48, can be produced without problems from zinc on account of the corrosion protection which is effected by the annular sealing element 54 being supported on the outside of the housing part 40 out of the inner volume 42. Since the annular sealing element 54 arranged on the outer section 46b of the tie rod 46 already (generally) prevents wetting of the edge of the opening 44 lying on the outside, there is no need to worry about wetting of the nut 48 with liquids entering/penetrating into the inner volume 42. The conventional necessity of a comparatively expensive zinc-nickel coating of the nut 48 is thereby eliminated.
Furthermore, in the case of the annular sealing element 54 being supported on the outside of the housing part 40 out of the inner volume 42, the conventional necessity of integrating the annular sealing element 54 into the interior bore 48b of the nut 48 is eliminated. The nut 48 may thus be configured with a relatively short overall expanse along a central longitudinal axis 48d oriented centrally through its inner bore 48 b. The total expansion of the nut 48 along its central longitudinal axis 48d may be, for example, less than or equal to 7 mm.
Since the nut 48 does not contact the annular sealing element 54 arranged on the same tie rod 46, there is also no fear that the annular sealing element 54 comes into contact with the internal thread and/or the thread 46c of the nut 48 and is destroyed in this way. Thereby, the conventional expenditure of the prior art to ensure that the internal thread and the thread 46c of the nut 48 are not present/adjacent at the location of the annular sealing element 54 and in the immediate surroundings of the annular sealing element 54 is also eliminated. Alternatively, the nut 48 can also be clamped firmly to the associated tie rod 46, which improves the holding of the nut 48. (in the case of clamping the nuts 48, the threads 46c contacted by the corresponding nut 48 are pressed/deformed in the radial direction so as to prevent the nut 48 from being undesirably separated from its tie rod 46). For example, the nut 48 can be clamped firmly to the associated tie rod 46 by means of a plurality of radial press-in portions, as is reproduced by the arrow 48e in fig. 2c and 2 d. As long as the nut 48 is firmly clamped to the tie rod 46 by means of three radial pressed-in portions, two adjacent radial pressed-in portions are preferably offset relative to one another by an angle of 120 °. Alternatively, the thread 46c of the tie rod 46 and the internal thread of the nut 48 may also be axially tensioned relative to each other in order to prevent the nut 48 from undesirably loosening from its tie rod 46. Due to the lack of contact of the nut 48 with respect to the annular sealing element 54 arranged on the same tie rod 46, there is no fear that the annular sealing element 54 is damaged by the clamping of the nut 48 or by the axial tensioning of the thread 46c and the internal thread of the nut 48 relative to each other.
In the example of fig. 2a to 2g, the contact surface 48a of the contact housing part 40 of the nut 48 furthermore has a first minimum outer diameter D1 oriented perpendicularly to the central axial axis 48D of its inner bore 48b, which is greater than a second maximum outer diameter D2 oriented perpendicularly to the central longitudinal axis 48D of its inner bore 48b of the partial section 48c of the nut 48 that can be inserted into the inner hollow space 52 of the sleeve 50. The contact surface 48a thus provides a sufficient support surface for the support housing part 40. The second maximum outer diameter D2 of the partial section 48c of the nut 48 that can be inserted into the inner hollow space 52 of the sleeve 50 can be, for example, 18mm or less.
In particular, the nut 48 reproduced in an enlarged manner in fig. 2b to 2d comprises a form closure 48f and a column 48g adjoining the form closure 48f, wherein the form closure 48f and the column 48g are formed integrally with one another. The form-locking portion 48f is configured with a first minimum outer diameter D1 oriented perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis 48D of the inner bore 48b, while the cylindrical portion 48g has a second maximum outer diameter D2 oriented perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis 48D of the inner bore 48 b. The form-lock 48f serves as an interface/contact for a screwing tool for firmly screwing the nut 48 on the thread 46 c. The surface of the form-locking portion 48f may be shaped, for example, as 6-sided ridge. The bond width (schlusselwite) of the form-locking bond 48f can be 19mm or greater. The partial section 48c of the nut 48 that can be inserted into the inner hollow space 52 of the sleeve 50 can be rewritten to be an "end section" of the cylindrical portion 48g that points away from the form closure 48 f.
In fig. 2a, only one tension rod 46 of the housing equipped with a tension rod is shown for better overview, with its nut 48 and its sleeve 50. It is clear, however, that the housing provided with the tie rods can also be designed with tie rods 46, which are all fastened by means of their nuts 48 to an opening 44 of the housing part 42 in such a way that sleeves 50 arranged on the respective tie rods 46 are displaceable. In the case of all tie rods 46, the corresponding nut 48 and the sleeve 50 arranged on the same tie rod 46 can be designed in such a way that the sleeve 50 can be pushed over at least the partial section 48c of the nut 48 arranged on the same tie rod 46, which is directed away from the housing part 40.
The tie-rod-equipped housing shown schematically in fig. 2a to 2g is mounted on and/or in a hydraulic device 58 (only partially shown) in such a way that the outer section 46b of the tie rod 46 of the tie-rod-equipped housing projects through a bore 60 in a flange 62 of the hydraulic device 58. Since such a flange 62 is generally configured to ensure an advantageous strength with a relatively large minimum thickness, the flange 62/its bore 60 provides sufficient structural space for integrating the annular sealing element 54. The arrangement of the annular sealing element 54 in the bore 60 formed in the flange 62 additionally ensures that: the annular sealing element 54 has (substantially) no influence on the structural length of the housing provided with the tie rod.
The flange 62 can be pressed against the housing part 40 by means of a device nut 64 screwed firmly onto the outer section 46b of the tension rod 46. For example, a further thread 46d, in particular an M8 thread, can be formed on the outer portion 46b of the tie rod 46 for the secure fastening of the device nut 64. The housing part 40 and the flange 62 can be clamped in particular against one another under pretensioning.
In the example of fig. 2a to 2g, the hydraulic device 58 is, for example, a master brake cylinder 58, from which, however, only a rod piston 66 and a return spring 68 are shown in fig. 2 a. The master brake cylinder 58 is provided with an electromagnetic brake force booster 70, wherein fig. 2a only partially shows an output rod 72, a reaction disk 74, an input rod 76 and a Valve Body (78) of the electromagnetic brake force booster 70 (english: Valve Body). The components of master brake cylinder 58 and of electromagnetic brake force booster 70 shown in fig. 2a are, however, to be understood as exemplary only. Alternatively, the hydraulic device 58 can also be a plunger device or a hydraulic brake system, for example.
Fig. 3 shows a schematic sub-view of a second embodiment of a housing equipped with a tie rod.
In the tie-rod-equipped housing of fig. 3, the entire nut 48 is designed as a form closure 48 f. The nut 48 may be, for example, an M10 nut 48. The nut 48 is screwed firmly onto the inner section 46a of the tension rod 46, which projects into the inner volume 42, in such a way that a washer 80, which is arranged on the tension rod 46 between the nut 48 and the housing part 40, contacts the housing part 40. However, only the nut 48 and the washer 80 are shown in fig. 3 as components of the housing that equips the tie rod.
In the tie-rod-equipped housing of fig. 3, the inner hollow space 52 of the sleeve 50 is also formed on the side oriented toward the nut 48 in such a way that the sleeve 50 can be pushed over at least one partial section 48c of the nut 48 directed away from the housing part 40, so that at least the partial section 48c of the nut 48 projects into the inner hollow space 52 of the sleeve 50. Further characteristics and features of the tie rod equipped housing of fig. 3 are described with reference to fig. 2a to 2 g.
Fig. 4 shows a flow chart for explaining an embodiment of a method for producing a housing equipped with a tie rod.
In method step S1 of the production method described here, the tension rod is arranged on a housing part which at least partially encloses the inner volume, such that the tension rod projects into the inner volume and out of the housing part through an opening formed in the housing part. In a further method step S2, the nut is screwed onto the inner section of the tension rod that projects into the inner volume in such a way that the contact surface of the nut or a washer arranged on the tension rod between the nut and the housing part contacts the housing part. Furthermore, as method step S3, a slidable sleeve is arranged on the inner section of the tension rod on the side of the nut directed away from the housing part in such a way that the tension rod protrudes through the inner hollow space of the sleeve and the sleeve can be slid over at least one subsection of the nut directed away from the housing part in such a way that at least this subsection of the nut protrudes into the inner hollow space of the sleeve. Method steps S1 to S3 may be carried out in any time sequence.
The manufacturing method described herein also provides the advantages already explained above. In one embodiment of the production method described here, further features of the housing provided with tie rods already explained above can also be formed.
As a refinement, optional method step S4 can also be carried out for mounting the tie-rod-equipped housing produced by means of method steps S1 to S3 on the hydraulic device and/or in it. As method step S4, the housing provided with the tie rod is mounted on and/or in the hydraulic device in such a way that the outer section of the tie rod of the housing provided with the tie rod, which section projects from the housing part, projects through a bore in the flange of the hydraulic device.
