Abstract
The scheme provides a storage device with a golden finger connecting interface and an electric connector, which comprises a circuit board, a plurality of storage units, the golden finger connecting interface and the electric connector. The plurality of storage units are arranged on the circuit board. The golden finger connecting interface is arranged on the circuit board and is electrically connected with at least part of the plurality of storage units through the circuit board. The electric connector is arranged on the circuit board and is electrically connected with at least part of the storage units through the circuit board. Therefore, the storage device can be respectively connected with two different hosts or two different connection interfaces of the same host through the golden finger connection interface and the electric connector, so that a dual-port connection function can be effectively realized, the effects of high availability, data safety improvement and the like are further achieved, and the problem and risk of single-point failure can be effectively avoided.
Description
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to storage devices, and particularly to a storage device with a golden finger connection interface and an electrical connector.
Background
Conventional storage devices are connected to two different hosts or different connection ports of the same host, such as a personal computer or a server, respectively, by using a Dual Port (Dual Port) connection technique. Therefore, two connection channels can be established or connected to two different hosts, and when one channel or one host has a problem, the storage device can still be accessed through the channel or the host which normally operates.
However, in the development of the existing storage device, the main transmission interfaces of the storage device are all connected to the motherboard On Board (On Board), and because of the relationship of being disposed inside the host, it is not easy to connect to two hosts using the same connection interface or different connection interfaces of the same host, so the application and implementation of the dual port connection technology in the storage device in the On Board connection form has not been seen yet.
Therefore, how to develop a storage device having a gold finger connection interface and an electrical connector, which includes at least two connection interfaces and can realize a dual-port connection technology, is a problem that remains to be solved at present.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention provides a storage device with a golden finger connection interface and an electrical connector, so as to solve and improve the problems and disadvantages of the prior art.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a storage device having a golden finger connection interface and an electrical connector, wherein the storage device includes a golden finger connection interface and an electrical connector, and can be respectively connected to two different hosts or two different connection interfaces of the same host through the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector, so as to effectively implement a dual-port connection function, thereby achieving high availability, improving data security, and effectively avoiding the problem and risk of single-point failure.
To achieve the above object, a preferred embodiment of the present invention provides a storage device with a golden finger connection interface and an electrical connector, comprising: the device comprises a circuit board, a plurality of storage units, a golden finger connecting interface and an electric connector; a plurality of storage units are arranged on the circuit board; the golden finger connecting interface is arranged on the circuit board and is electrically connected with at least part of the plurality of storage units through the circuit board; an electric connector is arranged on the circuit board and is electrically connected with at least part of the storage units through the circuit board.

Exemplary embodiments that embody features and advantages of this disclosure are described in detail below in the detailed description. It is to be understood that the disclosure is capable of various modifications in various ways without departing from the scope of the disclosure, and that the description and drawings are to be taken as illustrative in nature and not restrictive.
Referring to fig. 1, fig. 2 and fig. 3, in which fig. 1 shows a top view of a storage device with a golden finger connection interface and an electrical connector according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, fig. 2 shows a side view of the storage device with the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector shown in fig. 1, and fig. 3 shows a schematic structural diagram of the storage device with the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector shown in fig. 1. As shown in fig. 1 to 3, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a storage device 1 with a golden finger connection interface and an electrical connector includes a circuit board 10, a plurality of storage units 11, a golden finger connection interface 12 and an electrical connector 13. The storage units 11 are disposed on the circuit board 10. The golden finger connection interface 12 is disposed on the circuit board 10 and electrically connected to at least a portion of the plurality of storage units 11 through the circuit board 10. The electrical connector 13 is disposed on the circuit board 10 and electrically connected to at least a portion of the plurality of storage units 11 through the circuit board 10. Therefore, the storage device 1 with the golden finger connection interface and the electric connector can be respectively connected with two different hosts or two different connection interfaces of the same host through the golden finger connection interface 12 and the electric connector 13, so that a dual-port connection function can be effectively realized, the effects of high availability, data safety improvement and the like can be further achieved, and the problem and risk of single-point failure can be effectively avoided.
Preferably, the golden finger connection interface 12 of the storage device 1 having the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector is a Non-Volatile Memory (NVMe) connection interface, such as but not limited to m.2, M.3 or Enterprise and Data Center solid state disk Form Factor (EDSFF) connection interface, wherein the golden finger connection interface 12 is illustrated as M.3 connection interface in fig. 1 to 3, but not limited thereto. In addition, the electrical connector 13 is preferably an Optical Copper Link (OCuLink) connector, which is based on peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe)4.0, uses a Copper cable as a main connection medium, provides a single channel bandwidth up to 8 gigabits per second (8Gb/s), supports four channels, i.e., a total bandwidth up to 32 gigabits per second (32Gb/s), and has a small size, which can provide standard connection for future small or light-weight platforms to connect external devices, thereby increasing internal scalability and external diversification. Further, the circuit board 10 is preferably a Printed Circuit Board (PCB), and the plurality of storage units 11 are a plurality of Flash memories (Flash memories).
In some embodiments, the golden finger connecting interface 12 of the storage device 1 with golden finger connecting interface and electrical connector is electrically connected to all the storage units 11 through the circuit board 10, and the electrical connector 13 is electrically connected to all the storage units 11 through the circuit board 10. In addition, the storage device 1 with the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector may further include a control unit 14, wherein the control unit 14 may be but not limited to an integrated circuit chip, i.e., a controller or a control IC, disposed on the circuit board 10, and electrically connected to the golden finger connection interface 12, the electrical connector 13 and the plurality of storage units 11 through the circuit board 10 to control the plurality of storage units 11 and implement a Dual Port function. In other words, the golden finger connecting interface 12 and the electrical connector 13 of the storage device 1 with the golden finger connecting interface and the electrical connector can be respectively connected with two corresponding connecting interfaces of the same host or two corresponding connecting interfaces of two different hosts, so as to establish two channels in the same host or respectively establish connection with the two hosts, and can perform data read-write control through the same control unit 14.
Referring to fig. 4, fig. 5 and fig. 6, in which fig. 4 shows a top view of a storage device with a golden finger connection interface and an electrical connector according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, fig. 5 shows a side view of the storage device with the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector shown in fig. 4, and fig. 6 shows a structural schematic diagram of the storage device with the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector shown in fig. 4. As shown in fig. 4 to 6, the storage device 2 with gold finger connection interface and electrical connector includes a circuit board 20, a plurality of storage units 21, a gold finger connection interface 22 and an electrical connector 23. The circuit board 20, the plurality of storage units 21, the golden finger connection interface 22, and the electrical connector 23 are similar to the circuit board 10, the plurality of storage units 11, the golden finger connection interface 12, and the electrical connector 13 of the foregoing embodiments, and therefore, no further description is provided herein. However, in this embodiment, the golden finger connection interface 22 is taken as an example of an enterprise and data center solid state disk form factor (EDSFF) connection interface. In addition, in the embodiment shown in fig. 1 to 3, the connection direction of the electrical connector 13 is perpendicular to the arrangement direction of the plurality of storage units 11 on the circuit board 10; in the embodiment shown in fig. 4 to 6, the connection direction of the electrical connector 23 is parallel to the arrangement direction of the plurality of storage units 21 on the circuit board 20. In short, the form of the gold finger connection interface and the arrangement/connection direction of the electrical connector may vary according to actual requirements, and are independent design factors from each other.
The application and arrangement mode of the storage device with the golden finger connecting interface and the electric connector are further provided, and two independent storage spaces on the storage device with the golden finger connecting interface and the electric connector can be realized. Referring to fig. 7 and fig. 8 in conjunction with fig. 4 to fig. 6, fig. 7 shows a bottom view of a storage device with a golden finger connection interface and an electrical connector according to an embodiment of the present invention, and fig. 8 shows a side view of the storage device with the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector shown in fig. 7. As shown in fig. 4 to 8, the golden finger connecting interface 22 of the storage device 2 with golden finger connecting interface and electric connector of the present application is electrically connected to the plurality of storage units 21 of the first portion through the circuit board 20, and the electric connector 23 is electrically connected to the plurality of storage units 21 of the second portion through the circuit board 20. In addition, the storage device 2 with golden finger connection interface and electrical connector further comprises a first control unit 24 and a second control unit 25. The first control unit 24 is electrically connected to the golden finger connection interface 22 and the first plurality of storage units 21 through the circuit board 20, and the second control unit 25 is electrically connected to the electrical connector 23 and the second plurality of storage units 21 through the circuit board 20. Specifically, the circuit board 20, the golden finger connection interface 22, the plurality of storage units 21 of the first portion and the first control unit 24 may be regarded as a first storage space, and the circuit board 20, the electrical connector 23, the plurality of storage units 21 of the second portion and the second control unit 25 may be regarded as a second storage space, which may be recognized as two distinct and independent storage spaces on the computer or the server side, but not limited thereto.
In some embodiments, the first control unit 24 and the first portion of the plurality of storage units 21 are disposed on the first surface S1 of the circuit board 20, and the second control unit 25 and the second portion of the plurality of storage units 21 are disposed on the second surface S2 of the circuit board 20. The gold finger connection interface 22 is disposed on the first side 201 of the circuit board 20, the electrical connector 23 is disposed on the second side 202 of the circuit board 20, and the first side 201 is perpendicular to the second side 202.
Of course, the various embodiments and functions described in this application can be implemented individually or in combination, for example, in the storage device 2 with a golden finger interface and an electrical connector shown in fig. 7 and 8, the first control unit 24 and the second control unit 25 can also be electrically connected to all the storage units 21 respectively, and can implement a dual-port connection function when the host supports or the user has a requirement, and implement two different storage spaces when the host does not support or the user does not have a requirement for dual-port connection, which are all covered herein.
In summary, the present disclosure provides a storage device having a golden finger connection interface and an electrical connector, which includes the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector, and can be respectively connected to two different hosts or two different connection interfaces of the same host through the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector, so as to effectively implement a dual-port connection function, thereby achieving the effects of high availability, improving data security, and effectively avoiding the problem and risk of single-point failure.
Although the present invention has been described in detail with respect to the above embodiments, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
Claims (10)
1. A storage device with golden finger connection interface and electric connector includes:
a circuit board;
a plurality of storage units arranged on the circuit board;
the golden finger connecting interface is arranged on the circuit board and is electrically connected with at least part of the plurality of storage units through the circuit board; and
and the electric connector is arranged on the circuit board and is electrically connected with at least part of the storage units through the circuit board.
2. The storage device of claim 1, wherein the golden finger interface is electrically connected to all of the plurality of storage units via the circuit board, and the electrical connector is electrically connected to all of the plurality of storage units via the circuit board.
3. The storage device with the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector as claimed in claim 2, further comprising a control unit, wherein the control unit is disposed on the circuit board and electrically connected to the golden finger connection interface, the electrical connector and the plurality of storage units through the circuit board.
4. The storage device with golden finger interface and electrical connector as claimed in claim 3, wherein the control unit is an integrated circuit chip.
5. The storage device of claim 1, wherein the golden finger interface is a fast non-volatile memory interface, the electrical connector is an optical copper wire connector, the circuit board is a printed circuit board, and the plurality of storage units are a plurality of flash memories.
6. The storage device with the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector as claimed in claim 1, wherein the connection direction of the electrical connector is perpendicular or parallel to the arrangement direction of the plurality of storage units on the circuit board.
7. The storage device of claim 1, wherein the golden finger interface is electrically connected to the plurality of storage units of a first portion via the circuit board, and the electrical connector is electrically connected to the plurality of storage units of a second portion via the circuit board.
8. The storage device with the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector as claimed in claim 7, further comprising a first control unit and a second control unit, wherein the first control unit is electrically connected to the golden finger connection interface and the plurality of storage units of the first portion through the circuit board, and the second control unit is electrically connected to the electrical connector and the plurality of storage units of the second portion through the circuit board.
9. The storage device with the golden finger interface and the electrical connector as claimed in claim 8, wherein the first control unit and the plurality of storage units of the first portion are disposed on a first surface of the circuit board, the second control unit and the plurality of storage units of the second portion are disposed on a second surface of the circuit board, the golden finger interface is disposed on a first side of the circuit board, the electrical connector is disposed on a second side of the circuit board, and the first side is perpendicular to the second side.
10. The storage device with the golden finger connection interface and the electrical connector as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a first control unit and a second control unit, wherein the first control unit and the second control unit are electrically connected to all of the plurality of storage units respectively.
