Description
Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to image transmission devices, and more particularly, to an image transmission device and an image transmission method.
Background
In recent years, various external devices have been widely used to assist display projection. For example, when a computer is used as a presentation, the screen must be mirrored on the projector so that the content displayed on the computer screen can be projected on the projection screen in real time. Conventionally, D-SUB, DVI, or HDMI cable is used to connect computers and projectors to achieve projection. However, this approach is limited to wired connections.
In view of the above, image transmission devices have been developed to achieve wireless connection between a computer and a screen/projector. Conventionally, such image transmission devices include an image storage unit for storing related software programs and/or drivers. When the image transmission Device is connected to a computer of a user, the computer recognizes the image transmission Device as a Universal Serial Bus (USB) Mass Storage Device (Mass Storage Device) so that the user can copy, install or execute software on the image transmission Device.
However, this implementation still has at least two disadvantages. First, for data security reasons, more and more organizations (e.g., general companies, banks, government agencies, etc.) disable the functionality of Universal Serial Bus (USB) mass storage devices in employee computers. In this case, the above-described image transmission device becomes completely useless. Second, since the driver or software on the image transmission device needs to be installed and updated, the USB disk of the image transmission device must be writable. Since software viruses or malicious programs may be written onto the image transmission device, a security risk is created.
Therefore, there is a need for an improved image transmission device and an improved image transmission method that can overcome the drawbacks of the prior art.

The USB connector 14 is connected to the CPU 11, wherein the USB connector 14 can be, for example but not limited to, a Micro-USB (Micro-USB) connector, a Mini-USB (Mini-USB) connector, a Type-C (Type-C) USB connector. The internal memory unit 15 is connected to the cpu 11.
The usb connector 14 is plugged into the computer 2 with the portable software. The internal storage unit 15 is Inaccessible to the computer 2, i.e. the internal storage unit 15 is Inaccessible (Inaccessible) to the computer 2. That is, the internal storage unit 15 is not recognized as a disk by the computer 2, and thus the user does not see a recognized or loaded disk on the operating system. However, the image transmission device 1 is recognized by the system as a Human Interface Device (HID), or even a universal serial bus human interface device (USB-HID), i.e. a device like a mouse or a keyboard, and its driver is automatically set by the operating system on the computer 2. By using the internal storage unit 15 that cannot be accessed by the computer 2 or other electronic devices, the image transmission apparatus 1 of the present disclosure can effectively improve security and application diversity.

In some embodiments, the receiving device 3 is connected to the display device 4, and the images are synchronously displayed on the screen of the computer 2 and the display device 4, so as to realize synchronous screen mirroring between the computer 2 and the display device 4. Therefore, the image transmission device 1 of the present disclosure can implement the function of completing the screen mirroring with one key.
Please refer to fig. 1 and fig. 2 again. In some embodiments, the connection information of the receiving device 3 is stored in the internal storage unit 15, and the connection information includes, but is not limited to, an SSID of a wireless fidelity network and a password. Before the image transmission device 1 of the present disclosure is inserted into a computer for screen mirroring, the usb connector 14 of the image transmission device 1 is inserted into the receiving device 3 in advance, so that the cpu 11 and the receiving device 3 are paired. When the central processing unit 11 is paired with the receiving device 3, the central processing unit 11 writes the connection information into the internal storage unit 15. In addition, the receiving device 3 can be connected to the display device 4 through a connector 31, and can display connection information on the display device 4, wherein the connection information includes, but is not limited to, an SSID and a password of the wifi network.

Further, the portable software may run in the background of the computer 2. When the image transmission device 1 is plugged into the computer 2, the portable software starts to communicate with the image transmission device 1 through the USB-HID communication protocol. The communication referred to herein includes sending a command to the cpu 11 of the image transmission device 1 to initiate a wireless connection between the wireless communication module 12 and the receiving device 3.
Please refer to fig. 1, fig. 5A and fig. 5B. When the wireless connection between the wireless communication module 12 and the receiving device 3 is successfully established, the user can press the key 13 of the image transmission device 1 with the finger 81 of the hand 8 to activate the key 13 as shown in fig. 5B, so that the cpu 11 controls the screen to mirror, and the image displayed by the computer 2 is transmitted to the receiving device 3 through the wireless communication module 12. The receiving device 3 may include the display device 4 itself or be connected to the display device 4 through a connector 31, and the image displayed by the computer 2 is synchronously displayed on the display device 4, but not limited thereto.

Then, in step S50, the key 13 of the image transmission device 1 is activated, so that a command is transmitted from the image transmission device 1 to the portable software. Then, in step S60, the portable software executes the command to control the screen mirror, so that the images are transmitted from the computer 2 to the image transmission device 1, and then transmitted from the image transmission device 1 to the receiving device 3. Specifically, the image transmission device 1 further includes a central processing unit 11, a wireless communication module 12, a universal serial bus connector 14, and an internal storage unit 15. The wireless communication module 12, the key 13, the usb connector 14 and the internal memory unit 15 are connected to the cpu 11. The computer 2 cannot access the internal storage unit 15.
According to the concept of the present disclosure, the cpu 11 controls the screen mirror so that the image displayed by the computer 2 is transmitted to the receiving device 3 via the wireless communication module 13. The receiving device 3 preferably includes a display device 4, and the images displayed on the computer 2 are synchronously displayed on the display device 4.
In step S10, during the pairing process between the image transmission device 1 and the receiving device 3, the usb connector 14 of the image transmission device 1 is preferably inserted into the receiving device 3 for data exchange, and the cpu 11 writes the connection information of the receiving device 3 into the internal storage unit 15.
In summary, the present disclosure provides an image transmission apparatus and an image transmission method, so as to solve and improve at least one of the disadvantages of the prior art. The internal storage unit which cannot be accessed by a computer or other electronic devices is adopted, so that the safety and the application diversity can be effectively improved. Meanwhile, since the portable software is copied to the computer from an external source, the portable software does not need to be bound with an image transmission device, and the acquisition and the subsequent update can be realized through a safe and virus-free pipeline. Furthermore, the function of completing the screen mirroring by one key can be realized by matching the key of the image transmission device. In addition, the image transmission device of the present disclosure can be a USB device compatible with the human interface device, which does not need to use any USB mass transmission device, and no software virus or malicious program exists in the image transmission device. In companies that disable the usb mass transfer device function in the clerk's computer, the clerk can smoothly use the image transfer device of the present disclosure.
Although the present disclosure has been described in detail with respect to the above embodiments, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications can be made without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
