Description

Display device for a door closer with adjustable closing force, and door closer
Technical Field
The invention relates to a display device for a door closer having an adjustable closing force, the door closer having a rotatably actuated adjustment shaft for adjusting the closing force of the door closer. The invention further relates to a door closer with an adjustable closing force, having a rotatably actuated adjusting shaft for adjusting the closing force of the door closer, and having a display device.
Background
Door closers are basically known and widely spread in modern technology. For example using such a door closer which can provide automatic closing of the door. It is also known to configure door closers with adjustable closing forces. This allows, for example, the closing speed, which can be provided by a door closer, to be set. This also enables the door closer used to be adapted, for example, to the size of the door to be closed.
The central component of such door closers with adjustable closing force is usually an adjustment shaft. Such an adjusting shaft is in most cases rotatably actuated, wherein the closing force of the door closer can be varied by rotationally actuating the adjusting shaft. This can be achieved, for example, in door closers whose power is supplied by a spring element by varying or adapting the prestress of the spring element. The spring seat can thus be subjected to such a change in the prestress of the spring element, for example by rotationally actuating the adjusting shaft, on which the spring element is positioned in a supported, offset manner.
In addition, it can be provided in such door closers with an adjustable closing force that the currently set closing force of the door closer is displayed. Thus, for example, a display device based on a rotating disk is known from DE 102011007990. According to this embodiment, the disk is also rotated when the actuating shaft is rotationally actuated, wherein different positions of the disk indicate the set closing force of the door closer. However, it is disadvantageous in this case that, in particular when the door closer is worn out, for example, the adjustment scale and/or the marking on the plate is missing or unreadable in the door closer, and it is only possible to read the set closing force with difficulty. Other possible display devices are known from EP 0097868B 1. The display device disclosed here is arranged either directly adjacent to the axis of adjustment of the door closer or at least very adjacent to the axis of adjustment of the door closer. This makes it possible to make a reliable reading of the set closing force of the door closer difficult, in particular when the door closer is at a high height. Other possible display devices are not directly coupled to the position of the actuating shaft, so that in these display devices it is possible to cause an incorrect display of the set closing force.
Disclosure of Invention
It is therefore an object of the present invention to at least partially eliminate the above-described disadvantages of display devices for door closers or door closers. In particular, it is an object of the present invention to provide a display device for a door closer and a door closer, in which a particularly reliable and easily readable display of a closing force set in the door closer can be achieved in a particularly simple and cost-effective manner and method.
The object is achieved by a display device for a door closer and by a door closer. It goes without saying that the features and details described in connection with the display device according to the invention also apply here in connection with the door closer according to the invention and vice versa accordingly, so that the disclosures in respect of the various inventive aspects are always or can be referred to one another.
In a first aspect of the invention, the object is achieved by a display device for a door closer having an adjustable closing force, which door closer has an adjusting shaft that can be operated in a rotating manner and is used for adjusting the closing force of the door closer. The display device according to the present invention is characterized in that: the display device has a coupling section for mechanically coupling with the adjustment shaft; and a display section separate from and mechanically operatively connected to the coupling section, the display section having a linearly movable display element for displaying a closing force of the door closer.
The display device according to the invention is provided for a door closer with an adjustable closing force. Such door closers have, in particular, a rotatably actuated adjusting spindle for adjusting the closing force of the door closer. Such an adjusting spindle is a central structural unit of such a door closer, which is usually used.
For example, due to such a rotatably actuated adjusting shaft which is moved, for example, manually by a worm drive and/or by an engine-driven drive, a spring plate can be used for adjusting the pretensioning force of a spring element used in the door closer. The closing force set in the door closer is in particular directly dependent on the rotational position of the rotatably operated adjusting shaft or on the number of rotations performed by the adjusting shaft.
It is therefore important for the invention to provide that the display device according to the invention has a coupling section by means of which a direct mechanical coupling to the adjustment shaft can be provided. Such a coupling can be provided, for example, by a form fit between the coupling section and the adjusting shaft. In this way, it can be ensured that the movement, in particular the rotation, of the actuating shaft can be transmitted directly and indirectly to the coupling section and thus to the entire display device. In the display device according to the invention, it is also essential for the invention that a display section, in particular a structural unit of the display device separate from the coupling section, is provided in addition to the coupling section. The coupling section and the display section are therefore in other words neither formed integrally nor in one piece. However, a mechanically effective connection between the coupling section and the display section ensures that: the movement of the coupling section, which is caused in particular by the rotary movement of the adjusting shaft, is also transmitted directly and indirectly to the display section. In particular, the display section has a linearly movable display element which can also be moved linearly by the transmitted movement and thus displays the position or the rotation, in particular the pivot position, of the actuating shaft, whereby the closing force of the door closer can also be displayed. Linear movement in the sense of the present invention does not necessarily mean that the movement is rectilinear, so that linearly movable in the sense of the present invention can also mean movement along a curved track. However, in the sense of the present invention, the rotational movement is not included in the linear movement of the display section.
In summary, it is proposed in the display device according to the invention that the coupling of the display device to the rotatably actuated actuating shaft and the actual display of the closing force of the door closer are provided by separate, yet still mechanically operatively connected structural sections of the display device according to the invention. By coupling the coupling section directly to the actuating shaft, a direct reception and transmission of the movement of the actuating shaft and thus of the change in the closing force can be ensured. A particularly simple, readable representation of the closing force can be provided by the linearly movable display element of the display section, wherein particularly arbitrary positioning of the actual display relative to the adjustment axis can be provided by separating the display section from the coupling section. In this way, a particularly good readability of the set closing force of the door closer can also be provided.
Furthermore, it can be provided in the display device according to the invention that the display section has a pinion element having an external thread and the display element has a pinion receptacle having an internal thread, wherein the external thread of the pinion element engages into the internal thread of the pinion receptacle for the linear adjustment of the display element. Such a pinion element provides, in interaction with the pinion receptacle, a particularly simple way and method of converting a rotary motion into a linear motion. In this way, for example, the position information received by the actuating shaft can be transmitted by the coupling section via different, in particular multiple, rotary elements, for example gears, to the pinion element, so that this information is then transmitted via its external thread to the internal thread of the pinion receptacle of the display element, which then executes a linear movement.
In particular, the display device according to the invention is preferably developed in such a way that, in the installed state of the display device, the pinion element is arranged parallel to and spaced apart from the adjustment shaft axis of the door closer. In this way, the particularly good readability of the display device according to the invention can also be increased further. In particular, the pinion element is arranged at a distance from the actuating shaft, which enables any desired arrangement of the display section on the entire door closer. Since the adjusting shaft of the door closer is in most cases arranged along the longitudinal extension of the door closer, the arrangement of the pinion element parallel to the adjusting shaft axis can accommodate said longitudinal extension of the door closer. Thereby, an improved readability of the display device in the mounted state can also be achieved.
In the display device according to the invention, it can furthermore be provided that the coupling section has a coupling gear and the display section has a display gear in order to establish a mechanically effective connection between the coupling section and the display section. In particular, it can be provided that the coupling gear and the display gear engage in direct mesh with one another. It can also be provided that further gearwheels are present, wherein the gearwheels present then engage in each case in pairs in meshing engagement with one another. Due to the presence of the toothed wheels which engage in meshing engagement with one another in this way, the transmission of the rotating information, which is transmitted from the actuating shaft to the display section, particularly preferably to the pinion element of the display section, can be ensured particularly simply. This makes it possible to provide a particularly reliable transmission of the rotational position information of the actuating shaft to the display section.
The display device according to the invention can also be designed in such a way that the coupling section and/or the display section have a transmission section for influencing the mechanical effective connection between the coupling section and the display section, wherein in particular the transmission section has at least one transmission gear. Such a transmission section can, as already described, preferably influence the mechanical effective connection between the coupling section and the display section via a gear, wherein in particular the rotational speed can be varied. Other possible transmission sections can be provided, for example, by a lever transmission, a slotted guide or the like. In particular, it is possible to provide by means of such a transmission section: the speed of the linear movement of the display element can be influenced. In this way, for example, a scale on which the display element is moved during the adjustment of the closing force can be extended, as a result of which the readability of the set closing force can be increased again.
Further, the display device according to the present invention can be configured as follows: the coupling section has a coupling element for mechanical coupling with a mating coupling element of the adjusting shaft. Particularly preferably, the coupling element and the mating coupling element can engage one another in a form-fitting manner. This ensures that the movement information, in particular the rotation information, of the actuating shaft is transmitted to the coupling section particularly reliably. Due to the presence of the coupling element and the mating coupling element, the integrity and/or integration of the adjusting shaft and the coupling section can be avoided in particular. The configuration of the display device according to the present invention can thereby be simplified.
In addition, the display device according to the invention can be improved in that the coupling element is designed as an internal hexagon for mechanically coupling with a mating coupling element designed as an external hexagon. This is a particularly preferred design of the coupling element and the mating coupling element. The form-fitting engagement of the coupling element and the mating coupling element with one another can be provided and ensured particularly simply by such a design as an internal hexagonal structure or an external hexagonal structure.
The display device according to the invention can also be designed such that the display device has a cover element for accommodating at least the coupling section and the display section, wherein the cover element can be arranged on the door closer, in particular can be plugged onto the door closer. A particularly compact design of the display device according to the invention can be shown by such a cover element in which the coupling section and the display section are arranged. In particular, a possible retrofitting of already existing door closers with the display device according to the invention can also be provided by such a cover element. In this way, it is possible to provide already existing door closers without a display device with a display device according to the invention.
The display device according to the invention can preferably be further developed in that the cover element has at least one bearing device for bearing the coupling section and/or the display section, in particular for rotationally bearing the coupling gear and/or the display gear and/or the pinion element and/or the transmission gear. A further increase in the compactness of the display device according to the invention can be achieved by the described design of the cover element in particular. In particular, no additional elements for supporting the coupling section and/or the display section are required. In particular, the gear and other rotary elements, for example the pinion element, of the display device according to the invention can in this way be held particularly simply not only in the display device according to the invention, but even in the display device according to the invention. Therefore, it is possible to keep the respective sections arranged inside the display device according to the present invention at any time, whereby protection of the functionality of the display device according to the present invention can be ensured.
According to a second aspect of the invention, the object is achieved by a door closer with an adjustable closing force, having an adjusting shaft which can be operated in a rotating manner and which serves for adjusting the closing force of the door closer, and having a display device. The door closer according to the invention is characterized in that the display device is constructed according to the first aspect of the invention. Thus, by using the display device according to the first aspect of the invention, the door closer according to the invention according to the second aspect of the invention has the same advantages as those described in detail with respect to the display device according to the first aspect of the invention.
The door closer according to the invention can furthermore be designed in such a way that a worm wheel, in particular a worm wheel which can be driven in rotation via a worm, is mechanically coupled to the actuating shaft, wherein the worm wheel has a worm wheel receptacle for at least partially receiving the coupling section, in particular the coupling gear of the coupling section. For the adjustment of the adjustment shaft, this combination of worm gear and worm gear proves particularly suitable, since a self-locking can thereby be provided. This makes it possible to reliably avoid an undesired, automatic adjustment of the closing force of the door closer. Particularly preferably, such a worm wheel has a worm wheel receptacle. Such a worm wheel receptacle is preferably shaped around the axis of the worm gear, which is arranged coaxially with the axis of the adjusting shaft. By accommodating the coupling section, in particular the coupling gear of the coupling section, at least partially into the worm wheel receptacle, a further increase in the compactness of the door closer according to the invention can be equated. It is therefore also particularly preferred that, for example, a coupling gear having a coupling element can be arranged at least partially inside the worm wheel receptacle, as a result of which a reduced requirement for installation space can be provided. This makes it possible to use the door closer according to the invention with only a small installation space.
Drawings
The advantages of the display device according to the invention and of the door closer according to the invention and of their improvements are explained in detail below with reference to the drawings. Elements having the same function and mode of operation are provided with the same reference numerals in fig. 1 to 3, respectively. The figures show schematically:
fig. 1 shows an exploded view of a part of a door closer according to the invention with a display device according to the invention;
FIG. 2 shows a cross-sectional view of the element shown in FIG. 1; and
fig. 3 shows a plan view of the element shown in fig. 1.
Detailed Description
Fig. 1 to 3 show the components of a door closer 50 according to the invention and a display device 1 according to the invention in different views. Thus, the various figures are described collectively below, with specific details of the various figures being discussed separately.
Fig. 1 shows a display device 1 and an exploded view of a part of a door closer 50 according to the invention. In this case, a worm 53 and a worm wheel 54 are shown in particular in the door closer 50. The worm wheel 54 has a central opening which is designed to receive and form-fittingly contact an adjusting shaft 51 (not shown together in fig. 1) of the door closer 50 according to the invention, see in particular fig. 2 and 3. By turning the worm 53, the worm wheel 54 is then set in rotation, whereby the adjusting shaft 51 can be moved in the same or in a rotary manner. This enables the closing force of the door closer 50 according to the invention to be adjusted. As can be seen clearly in fig. 2 and 3, the actuating shaft 51 of the door closer 50 according to the invention has in the present embodiment a mating coupling element 52 which is in positive-locking contact with the coupling element 12 of the display device 1 according to the invention. The coupling element 12 is part of a coupling gear 11 which also forms the coupling section 10 of the display device 1 according to the invention. As can be seen particularly clearly in fig. 2, the worm wheel 54 has a worm wheel receptacle 55, in which the coupling gear 11 is at least partially arranged. A particularly compact design of the display device 1 or of the door closer 50 can thereby be provided. Thus, during the rotary movement of the adjusting shaft 51 driven by the worm gear 54, the coupling section 10, in particular the coupling gear 11, is also set in rotary movement. A mechanical effective connection of the coupling section 10 to the display section 20, in particular to the display gear 24, is established via a transmission section 30, which is formed in the present embodiment by a transmission gear 31. The display gear 24 is formed in one piece with the pinion element 23. A display element 21 is arranged on the pinion gear element 23, said display element being linearly movable along the pinion gear element 23. In order to convert a rotary movement, which is transmitted by the adjusting shaft 51 to the pinion element 23 via the coupling gear 11 and the transmission gear 31, into a linear movement of the display element 21, the pinion element 23 preferably has an external thread. The display element 21 also preferably has a pinion receptacle 22, which is designed with an internal thread. Thus, by engaging the external thread of the pinion member 23 and the internal thread of the pinion receiving portion 22 with each other, the linear movement of the display member 21 can be achieved by the rotational movement initially provided by the adjustment shaft 51. A particularly good readability of the set closing force of the door closer 50 according to the invention can be provided particularly well by such a linear display. Furthermore, the pinion element 23 is arranged, as shown, parallel to and spaced apart from the axis of the actuating shaft 51 of the door closer 50. In this way, the readability of the set closing force can be further improved, since, in particular by the spaced-apart arrangement, an arbitrary position of the display section 20 relative to the adjustment axis 51 can be achieved. The display device 1 according to the invention is furthermore shown in the form of a cover element 40. In this way the compactness of the display device 1 according to the invention can be further improved. In particular, the cover element 40 has a bearing device 41, which is designed in particular in the present embodiment to bear the transmission gear 31 and the pinion element 23, see for example fig. 2. Additional supporting elements can thereby be avoided, whereby the compactness of the display device 1 according to the invention can be further improved.
In particular, the presence of the cover element 40 also makes it possible to provide retrofitting possibilities of the door closer 50 with the display device 1 according to the invention. For this purpose, the cover element 40 of the display device 1 according to the invention can be simply plugged onto an already existing door closer 50, for example. This can be done in particular when, for example, the coupling element 12 is present as an internal hexagonal structure which is matched to a mating coupling element 52 of the adjusting shaft 51, which is designed as an external hexagonal structure.
Overall, a particularly clearly readable representation of the closing force of the door closer 50 can be clarified by the display device 1 according to the invention for the door closer 50 according to the invention. The display device has in particular a linearly movable display element 21, which is particularly preferably arranged at a distance from the adjustment shaft 51 and parallel to the axis. In this way, a particularly clearly readable representation of the closing force can be provided while the display device 1 according to the invention is particularly compactly designed.
