Detailed Description
Before the present invention is described in detail, it should be noted that in the following description, like components are denoted by the same reference numerals.
Referring to fig. 1 to 3, in an embodiment of the curved touch panel 100 of the present invention, the curved touch panel 100 may be applied to various electronic products, such as, but not limited to, a mobile phone as shown in fig. 1.
Specifically, the structure of the curved touch panel 100 includes a cover plate 1, a shielding layer 2, a touch sensing structure 3, an antenna structure 4 and a protection structure 5.
The cover 1 is a surface structure of a curved touch panel 100, and has an inner surface 13, an outer surface 14 opposite to the inner surface 13, and two cross-connecting surfaces 15 respectively connecting the inner surface 13 and the outer surface 14. The inner surface 13 of the cover plate 1 can be used as a bearing surface for manufacturing an inner structure, and the outer surface 14 can be used for a user to perform touch operation by means of fingers, a touch pen and the like.
Structurally, the cover 1 comprises a base portion 11 and at least two side edge portions 12 formed by bending the outer edge of the base portion 11 in the same direction, the side edge portions 12 including the lateral contact surface 15. The base portion 11 is a planar structure with a larger area and is suitable for being arranged on the front surface of the electronic device, the side edge portion 12 is a bent structure with a smaller area and is suitable for being arranged on the side surface of the electronic product, and the cover plate 1 can be in a non-planar three-dimensional (3D) structure through the shape matching of the base portion 11 and the side edge portion 12. In the present embodiment, the base portion 11 is implemented as a planar structure, but the base portion 11 may be implemented as an arc structure having a slight curvature as needed. Although the side edge 12 of the present embodiment is described by taking two as an example, the number is not limited to this, and the cover plate 1 may be formed with only one side edge 12 or with more side edges as needed in different embodiments.
In terms of material selection, the cover plate 1 can be made of transparent hard materials such as glass, sapphire glass and the like, and the surface hardness of the cover plate can be enhanced by tempering treatment according to requirements so as to improve the characteristics of falling resistance, compression resistance, scratch resistance and the like. Of course, the surface of the cover plate 1 may be further processed into a thin film layer (not drawn) with anti-scratch, anti-reflection, anti-glare or anti-blue light properties by a film coating technique, so as to improve the usability of the curved touch panel 100.
The shielding layer 2 is disposed on the side edge 12 of the cover plate 1 and located on the inner surface 13 thereof, and can be made into a single-layer or multi-layer shielding structure by printing, coating, etc. through ink and photoresist, so as to divide the curved touch panel 100 into a visible region 101 that does not cover the shielding layer 2 and a non-visible region 102 that covers the shielding layer 2. In the non-visible region 102, the shielding layer 2 can shield the antenna structure 4, the conductive circuit (not shown) and other non-transparent structures from being visually perceived to provide the appearance modifying function.
The touch sensing structure 3 is disposed on the base portion 11 of the cover 1 and located on the inner surface 13 thereof, and includes a touch sensing electrode, an insulating layer, a protective layer, and a plurality of metal wires (metal trace) 31 disposed on the shielding layer 2 and adjacent to the antenna structure 4. The touch sensing electrodes of the touch sensing structure 3 can be made into electrode patterns which are respectively staggered in the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction by transparent conductive materials such as Indium Tin Oxide (ITO), nano silver, metal grids, graphene, nano carbon tubes, conductive polymers and the like, and are manufactured into diamond, triangle, rectangle and the like, so that a touch sensing function is provided when a user touches the outer surface 14 of the cover plate 1. The non-transparent structures such as the metal wires 31 of the touch sensing structure 3 are mainly located at the outer edges thereof and cover the shielding layer 2, so that the non-transparent structures are shielded by the shielding layer 2 and are not perceived by a user in appearance.
The antenna structure 4 is disposed on the inner surface 13 of the side edge 12 and is located on the shielding layer 2, such that the shielding layer 2 is located between the cover 1 and the antenna structure 4. The antenna structure 4 can be implemented by various antennas such as monopole antenna (monopole antenna) and planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA antenna), and is used for receiving and transmitting various wireless signals such as mobile communication signals, wi-Fi signals, GPS signals, bluetooth signals, radio signals, near field wireless communication (NFC) signals, etc. Since the antenna structure 4 is disposed on the side edge 12 of the cover 1 in this embodiment, the configuration can effectively utilize the space of the cover 1 not occupied by other structures, and the antenna structure 4 and the touch sensing structure 3 can be integrated on the cover 1 at the same time, so that the space of disposing the antenna structure 4 in the electronic product can be saved, a more flexible circuit configuration can be provided, and the signal receiving and transmitting quality of the antenna can be facilitated. In a preferred embodiment, the spacing distance between the antenna structure 4 and the metal wire 31 of the touch sensing structure 3 may be set to be between 0.17 mm and 0.47 mm, so that the spacing distance can avoid interference of the metal wire on signal transmission and reception of the antenna structure 4, and also can maintain the structural configuration density between the antenna structure 4 and the touch sensing structure 3, so as to effectively utilize the planar area of the cover plate 1.
Structurally, the material of the antenna structure 4 of the present embodiment is mainly selected from metals including copper, beryllium copper, phosphor copper, gold, nickel or alloys thereof, or stainless steel, but the present invention is not limited thereto. The antenna structure 4 may be a flat strip or an irregular shape, which is not limited to the present invention.
In terms of manufacturing, the antenna structure 4 may be fixed to the side edge 12 of the cover 1 by bonding, heat-welding, or the like. Finally, a protective structure 5 is arranged above the antenna structure 4, and the material of the protective structure 5 can be silicon dioxide (SiO 2), silicon nitride (Si 3N 4), epoxy resin, hot melt adhesive, etc. The protection structure 5 can protect the antenna structure 4 from oxidation and shield the interference of the metal wires 31 from the touch sensing structure 3.
In another embodiment, the antenna structure 4 may be fixed on the side edge 12 of the cover plate 1 by using a hot melt adhesive at a higher temperature, and the formed hot melt adhesive is cooled and solidified to cover the antenna structure 4, so that the hot melt adhesive has the function of fixing the antenna structure 4 and protecting the antenna structure, saves the manufacturing process, and can form the protecting structure 5 as well.
In addition to the above-mentioned manufacturing method, the antenna structure 4 may be directly manufactured on the side edge 12 by a plating technique, so that the above-mentioned attaching and fixing process may be omitted, and different embodiments may be provided.
Referring to fig. 4, in this embodiment, the difference from fig. 3 is that, in addition to the flat strip-shaped structure shown in fig. 3, the antenna structure 4 of the curved touch panel 100 can also use a strip-shaped copper wire with a circular cross section as shown in fig. 4, and the effect of the antenna structure 4 can also be achieved by this embodiment.
Referring to fig. 5, the difference from fig. 3 is that, in this embodiment, the antenna structure 4 may be disposed on the transverse surface 15 of the side edge 12 as shown in fig. 5, in addition to the inner surface 13 of the side edge 12 as shown in fig. 3, and covered by the protection structure 5, so that the inner surface 13 of the side edge 12 may be provided with other structures to provide different structural arrangements.
Referring to fig. 6, the difference between this embodiment and fig. 3 is that the inner surface 13 of the side edge 12 of the cover plate 1 is further concavely formed with a groove 121, so that the antenna structure 4 of this embodiment can be further disposed in the groove 121 formed by concavely forming the inner surface 13 in addition to the implementation directly disposed on the inner surface 13 of the side edge 12 as shown in fig. 3. The grooves 121 may be formed by carving, laser, etching, etc., and after the antenna structure 4 is fixed in the grooves 121, the grooves 121 may be filled with silicon dioxide (SiO 2), silicon nitride (Si 3N 4), epoxy, hot melt adhesive, etc. This embodiment is advantageous for adhering and positioning the antenna structure 4 during the manufacturing process, and also for embedding the antenna structure 4 in the cover plate 1, which is advantageous for reducing the overall thickness and maintaining the surface flatness of the inner surface 13 of the skirt portion 12.
Referring to fig. 7, the difference between the present embodiment and fig. 6 is that the recess 121 may be located on the transverse surface 15 of the side edge 12, so that the antenna structure 4 of the present embodiment may be embedded in the recess 121 formed by recessing the transverse surface 15 in addition to the embodiment of fig. 6. This embodiment not only does not occupy the surface space of the lateral surface 15 of the side edge 12, but also maintains the surface flatness of the lateral surface 15, so as to facilitate the connection between the cover 1 and the housing (not shown) of the electronic product, and at the same time, prevent the antenna structure 4 from being damaged when the cover 1 is connected to the housing of the electronic product.
Referring to fig. 8, compared with the embodiment of fig. 2 to 7 taking a single antenna structure 4 as an example, the curved touch panel 100 may also be provided with a plurality of antenna structures 4 as shown in fig. 8, where the antenna structures 4 are disposed at the side edge 12 of the cover 1 at intervals along an axial direction to perform the function of receiving and transmitting different wireless signals. It should be noted that, according to practical needs, the antenna structures 4 may be disposed at any positions of the side edge 12 at intervals, and are not limited to the axial arrangement manner. In this embodiment, the protection structures 5 may be provided above the plurality of antenna structures 4 one by one, or a single layer of protection structures 5 may be provided above the plurality of antenna structures 4.
Referring to fig. 9, the difference between this embodiment and fig. 3 is that the shielding layer 2 may be disposed on the inner surface 13 of the side edge 12 as shown in fig. 3, and may be disposed on the outer surface 14 of the side edge 12 as shown in fig. 9, and covered and protected by a protective layer 21. Correspondingly, the touch sensing structure 3, the antenna structure 4 and the protection structure 5 are directly disposed on the inner surface 13 of the cover plate 1, and the three are located on different surfaces of the cover plate 1 with the shielding layer 2. In this way, the front projection range of the shielding layer 2 from bottom to top in the drawing covers the metal wires 31, the antenna structure 4, the protection structure 5 and other non-transparent structures outside the touch sensing structure 3, so that the shielding function of these structures can be provided in the non-visible area 102, and the effect of appearance modification is achieved.
Referring to fig. 10, the difference from fig. 3 is that the curved touch panel 100 further includes two shielding structures 6, the shielding structures 6 are made of conductive materials such as metal, and are disposed on the shielding layer 2 and located between the touch sensing structure 3 and the antenna structure 4, so that interference of the touch sensing structure 3 to the antenna structure 4 can be reduced by the shielding function thereof, and signal transmission quality of wireless signals can be improved.
Referring to fig. 11, the difference between the curved touch panel 100 and fig. 3 is that the curved touch panel 100 further includes a substrate 7, and the substrate 7 is used as a supporting member for the touch sensing structure 3, the antenna structure 4 and the protection structure 5 to be fabricated thereon, and then is attached to the inner surface 13 of the cover 1 by the adhesive layer 71, and the outer edge of the touch sensing structure 3, the antenna structure 4 and the protection structure 5 are located in the non-visible area 102, so as to provide a different structural configuration and fabrication manner from the previous one. It should be noted that, in fig. 11, the metal wire 31, the antenna structure 4 and the protection structure 5 are disposed on the substrate 7, that is, the metal wire 31, the antenna structure 4 and the protection structure 5 are located on opposite sides of the substrate 7, but the metal wire 31, the antenna structure 4 and the protection structure 5 may be disposed below the substrate 7, that is, the metal wire 31, the antenna structure 4 and the protection structure 5 are located between the cover 1 and the substrate 7, which is not limited to the above disclosure.
In view of the foregoing, the curved touch panel 100 of the present invention can reduce the space occupied by the antenna structure 4 in the electronic product by integrating the antenna structure 4 at the side edge 12 of the cover plate 1, improve the flexibility of circuit configuration, and facilitate the improvement of the transmission quality of wireless signals, so as to achieve the purpose of the present invention.
It should be noted that, the antenna structure 4 integrated in the cover 1 of the present invention may be actually electrically connected to the wireless signal transceiver unit (not shown) of the electronic product by a flexible circuit board (not shown) that is shared or not shared with the touch sensing structure 3 or by a direct contact of a conductive body.
