Abstract
An electronic device, comprising a first body, a second body, a rotation mechanism and a flexible display device, wherein the rotation mechanism is rotatably connected to the first body and the second body, and the flexible display device covers the first body, the second body and a first side of the rotation mechanism.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to an electronic device, and more particularly, to an electronic device including a flexible display device and a rotation mechanism.
Background
In the prior art, one type of electronic device generally includes a physical keyboard portion and a display portion, the two portions are connected together through a rotating mechanism and can be rotated and positioned relative to each other, wherein the physical keyboard portion can only be used for inputting operation instructions of a user, and the display portion is only used for displaying interactive information.
In the electronic device of the above type, since the physical keyboard portion can only be used for inputting the operation instruction of the user and only the display portion is used for displaying the interactive information, the display area and thus the display information are reduced, which causes much inconvenience to the user in the case of displaying a large amount of information. In addition, since the physical keyboard is adopted, the overall size of the keyboard portion and the size of each key are fixed, so that it is difficult to make corresponding adjustment according to the habit of each user to operate. Furthermore, the way in which users apply this type of electronic device is also single.
In the prior art, another type of electronic device includes only a display portion, such as an iPad tablet computer introduced by apple computer, inc 2010, for displaying both interactive information and a virtual keyboard to allow a user to input an operation instruction.
In the electronic apparatus of the above type, since the display portion is used for displaying both the interactive information and the virtual keyboard, a reduction in display area and thus a reduction in display information is caused, which causes much inconvenience to the user in the case where a large amount of information needs to be displayed. In addition, this type of electronic apparatus generally requires the user to hold with one hand and use the other hand for inputting operation instructions. When a large number of input operations are required, this type of electronic device also requires additional supporting means, such as a stand, and an additional external keyboard, such as a physical keyboard that is wired or wirelessly connected to the electronic device. The portability of this type of electronic device is reduced by the presence of the additional support means and the additional external keyboard.
Furthermore, these display portions in the prior art typically comprise rigid screens, i.e. screens that cannot be bent. In addition, the display device is not provided on the rotating portion in the related art and only the rotating mechanism exists. These all contribute to the uniqueness of the way in which users apply this type of electronic device.
Disclosure of Invention
In view of the above problems in the prior art, the present invention proposes:
1. an application scheme employing a flexible display device and a rotation mechanism, wherein the flexible display device comprises a flexible display screen capable of being bent.
2. In the scheme, the rotating mechanism can always keep a smooth state in the rotating process, so that the flexible display screen is also smooth.
According to an aspect of the present invention, an electronic apparatus is provided, which includes a first body, a second body, a rotation mechanism and a flexible display device, wherein the rotation mechanism rotatably connects the first body and the second body, and the flexible display device covers the first body, the second body and a first side of the rotation mechanism.
The flexible display device comprises a flexible display screen, and the flexible display screen is covered on the first body, the second body and the first side of the rotating mechanism.
According to another aspect of the present invention, the flexible display device may include a first display screen, a second display screen, and a flexible display screen, wherein the flexible display screen is connected between the first display screen and the second display screen, the first display screen is disposed on the first side of the first body, the second display screen is disposed on the first side of the second body, and the flexible display screen is disposed on the first side of the rotating mechanism.
And the flexible display screen is attached to the first side of the rotating mechanism along with the rotation of the rotating mechanism to different angles.
The flexible display screen comprises a first elastic connecting piece connected with the first display screen and a second elastic connecting piece connected with the second display screen.
The electronic device further comprises a coating mechanism which coats at least a part of the rotating mechanism.
The rotation mechanism may rotate between 0 degrees and 360 degrees.
The rotating mechanism comprises a plurality of rotating shafts which are arranged in parallel and are matched with each other in a rotating mode, so that the rotating mechanism can keep a smooth state in the relative rotating process of the first body and the second body, and the flexible display screen can keep a smooth state in the relative rotating process.
When the rotating mechanism rotates to more than 180 degrees, the electronic equipment has a first working mode, in the first working mode, the first body and the second body rotate relative to each other to form a V shape, two opposite edges of the V-shaped first body and the V-shaped second body are supported on a supporting surface, in the first working mode, a user can not only touch and operate the first display screen or the second display screen or the flexible display screen of the flexible display device independently, but also touch and operate the first display screen, the second display screen and the flexible display screen of the flexible display device simultaneously, and the first display screen, the second display screen and the flexible display screen can be used for displaying data information simultaneously.
When the rotating mechanism rotates to between 90 degrees and 180 degrees, the electronic equipment has a second working mode, wherein in the second working mode, one of the first body and the second body is supported on the supporting surface, in the second working mode, one of the first display screen and the second display screen of the flexible display device is used for displaying data information, and the other of the first display screen and the second display screen is used for touch operation, and the flexible display screen is used for displaying data information and/or touch operation.
When the rotating mechanism rotates to more than 180 degrees, the electronic equipment has a third working mode, wherein in the third working mode, one of the first body and the second body is supported on the supporting surface, in the third working mode, one of the first display screen and the second display screen is used for displaying data information and/or touch operation, and the other of the first display screen and the second display screen faces the supporting surface, and the flexible display screen is used for displaying data information and/or touch operation.
When the rotating mechanism rotates to 180 degrees, the electronic device has a fourth working mode, wherein in the fourth working mode, the first body and the second body rotate relative to each other to be in the same plane, in the fourth working mode, the first display screen and the second display screen are jointly used for displaying data information and/or touch operation of a user, and the flexible display screen is used for displaying data information and/or touch operation.
When the swivel mechanism is swiveled to 360 degrees, the electronic device has a fifth operating mode, in which the first body and the second body are swiveled relative to each other into contact with each other, in which the first display screen and the second display screen are parallel to each other and the first display screen and/or the second display screen can be used for displaying data information and/or a touch operation of a user, and the flexible display screen is used for displaying data information and/or a touch operation.
According to still another aspect of the present invention, the coating mechanism made of a flexible material is maintained in a smooth state during the rotation of the first body and the second body, and no wrinkles are generated on the surface of the flexible material.
The flexible material is silicone.
The rotation matching of the plurality of rotating shafts is realized through gear matching.
Based on the above structure of the invention, the electronic device according to the invention has no physical keyboard part but only a display part, so compared with the prior art, under the condition of the same size, the whole flexible display screen can be used for displaying interactive information, thereby increasing the display area and further increasing the area for displaying information, and thus bringing more convenience to users under the condition of needing to display a large amount of information. In addition, since the virtual keyboard can be used, the overall size of the keyboard portion and the size of each key can be varied, which makes it possible to easily make corresponding adjustments to the habit of each user's operation. In addition, the way in which users apply this type of electronic apparatus is also diversified.
Based on the above configuration of the present invention, the electronic apparatus according to the present invention can eliminate the need for the user to hold with one hand while the other hand is used for inputting the operation instruction. In some of the above modes, the electronic device according to the present invention does not require an additional supporting device, such as a stand, and does not require an additional external keyboard, such as a physical keyboard wired or wirelessly connected to the electronic device, when a large number of input operations are required. Thus, the carrying convenience of the electronic equipment according to the invention is increased because no additional supporting device and no additional external keyboard are required.
Furthermore, the electronic device according to the invention comprises a flexible display, i.e. a display that can be bent and which can be arranged on a turning mechanism of the electronic device. This brings about a variety of ways in which the user can apply the electronic device according to the invention.
So that the manner in which the above recited features of the present invention can be understood in detail, a more particular description of the invention, briefly summarized above, may be had by reference to embodiments, some of which are illustrated in the appended drawings. There are, of course, embodiments of the invention that will be described below and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
In this respect, before explaining the embodiments of the invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of embodiments in addition to those described and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein, as well as the abstract, are for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting.
As such, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the conception upon which this disclosure is based may readily be utilized as a basis for the designing of other structures and systems for carrying out the several purposes of the present invention. It is important, therefore, that the appended claims be regarded as including such equivalent constructions insofar as they do not depart from the spirit and scope of the present invention.

Detailed Description
Exemplary embodiments according to the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The features and advantages of the present invention will be appreciated by those skilled in the art from the accompanying drawings and the corresponding written description.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 6, the electronic apparatus includes a first body 1, a second body 2, a rotation mechanism 3 and a flexible display device 4, wherein the rotation mechanism 3 rotatably connects the first body 1 and the second body 2, and the flexible display device 4 covers the first body 1, the second body 2 and a first side of the rotation mechanism 3.
The flexible display device 4 comprises a flexible display screen, and the flexible display screen is covered on the first body 1, the second body 2 and the first side of the rotating mechanism 3.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, the flexible display device 4 may include a first display 5, a second display 6 and a flexible display 7, the flexible display 7 is connected between the first display 5 and the second display 6, the first display 5 covers the first side of the first body 1, the second display 6 covers the first side of the second body 2, and the flexible display 7 covers the first side of the rotating mechanism 3.
The rotating mechanism 3 rotates to different angles, and the flexible display screen is attached to the first side of the rotating mechanism 3.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the flexible display comprises a first elastic connector (not shown) connected to the first display and a second elastic connector (not shown) connected to the second display.
The electronic device further comprises a coating mechanism 8, wherein at least one part of the rotating mechanism 3 is coated by the coating mechanism 8.
The turning mechanism 3 is rotatable between 0 and 360 degrees.
The rotation mechanism 3 includes a plurality of rotation shafts 3-1 arranged in parallel with each other and rotatably engaged with each other, so that the rotation mechanism 3 can maintain a smooth state during the relative rotation of the first body 1 and the second body 2, and further the flexible display 7 can maintain a smooth state during the relative rotation.
When the rotating mechanism rotates to more than 180 degrees, the electronic device according to the embodiment of the invention is in the first operation mode as shown in fig. 1, in a first mode, the first body 1 and the second body 2 are rotated with respect to each other in a V-shape, the two opposite edges (1-1,2-1) of the first and second bodies in the shape of a V are supported on a bearing surface 9, in this first mode, the user is not only able to touch and operate the first display 5 or the second display 6 or the flexible display 7 of the flexible display device alone, but also simultaneously touch-operates the first display 5, the second display 6 and the flexible display 7 of the flexible display device, the first display screen 5, the second display screen 6 and the flexible display screen 7 can also be used for displaying data information at the same time.
When the rotating mechanism is rotated to between 90 degrees and 180 degrees, the electronic device according to the embodiment of the present invention is in a second operation mode as shown in fig. 2, in which one of the first body 1 and the second body 2 is supported on the supporting surface 9 (in fig. 2, the second body 2 is supported on the supporting surface 9), in which one of the first display 5 and the second display 6 of the flexible display device is used for displaying data information, and the other of the first display 5 and the second display 6 is used for touch operation, and the flexible display 7 is used for displaying data information and/or touch operation.
When the rotating mechanism is rotated to more than 180 degrees, fig. 3 shows that the electronic device according to the embodiment of the present invention is in a third operating mode, in which one of the first body 1 and the second body 2 is supported on the supporting surface 9, and in this third operating mode, one of the first display screen 5 and the second display screen 6 is used for displaying data information and/or touch operation, and the other of the first display screen and the second display screen is directed to the supporting surface 9 (in fig. 3, the second display screen 6 is directed to the supporting surface 9), and the flexible display screen 7 is used for displaying data information and/or touch operation.
When the rotating mechanism rotates to 180 degrees, as shown in fig. 4, the electronic device according to the embodiment of the present invention is in a fourth operation mode, in which the first body 1 and the second body 2 rotate relative to each other to be in the same plane, and in this fourth mode, the first display 5 and the second display 6 are used together for displaying data information and/or touch operation of a user, and the flexible display 7 is used for displaying data information and/or touch operation.
When the rotating mechanism rotates to 360 degrees, fig. 5 shows that the electronic device according to the embodiment of the present invention is in a fifth operating mode, wherein in the fifth mode, the first body 1 and the second body 2 rotate relative to each other to contact each other, in the fifth mode, the first display screen 5 and the second display screen 6 are parallel to each other and the first display screen 5 and/or the second display screen 6 can be used for displaying data information and/or touch operation of a user, and the flexible display screen 7 is used for displaying data information and/or touch operation.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the coating means 8 made of flexible material remains in a smooth state during the rotation of the first body 1 and the second body 2, the surface of the flexible material being free from wrinkles.
The flexible material is silicone.
As shown in fig. 6, the rotational coupling of the plurality of rotational shafts 3-1 is achieved by gear coupling.
Based on the above structure of the invention, the electronic device according to the invention has no physical keyboard part but only a display part, so compared with the prior art, under the condition of the same size, the whole flexible display screen can be used for displaying interactive information, thereby increasing the display area and further increasing the area for displaying information, and thus bringing more convenience to users under the condition of needing to display a large amount of information.
In addition, since the virtual keyboard can be used, the overall size of the keyboard portion and the size of each key can be varied, which makes it possible to easily make corresponding adjustments to the habit of each user's operation. In addition, the way in which users apply this type of electronic apparatus is also diversified.
Based on the above configuration of the present invention, the electronic apparatus according to the present invention can eliminate the need for the user to hold with one hand while the other hand is used for inputting the operation instruction. In some of the above modes, the electronic device according to the present invention does not require an additional supporting device, such as a stand, and does not require an additional external keyboard, such as a physical keyboard wired or wirelessly connected to the electronic device, when a large number of input operations are required. Thus, the carrying convenience of the electronic equipment according to the invention is increased because no additional supporting device and no additional external keyboard are required.
Furthermore, the electronic device according to the invention comprises a flexible display, i.e. a display that can be bent. The flexible display screen is kept in a smooth state all the time in the rotating process of the rotating mechanism and can be used for displaying data information and/or touch operation. The flexible display screen is arranged to provide diversity for the way in which a user applies the electronic device according to the invention.
While the invention has been described in the specification and drawings with reference to specific embodiments, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes may be made and equivalents may be substituted for elements thereof without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the claims. Moreover, the combination and arrangement of features, elements and/or functions between specific embodiments herein is clearly apparent and thus, in light of this disclosure, one skilled in the art will appreciate that features, elements and/or functions of an embodiment may be incorporated into another specific embodiment as appropriate, unless described otherwise, above. In addition, many modifications may be made to adapt a particular situation or material to the teachings of the invention without departing from the essential scope thereof. Therefore, it is intended that the invention not be limited to the particular embodiment illustrated by the drawings and described in the specification as the best mode presently contemplated for carrying out this invention, but that the invention will include all embodiments falling within the scope of the foregoing description and the appended claims.
Claims (13)
1. An electronic device, comprising a first body, a second body, a rotating device and a flexible display device, wherein the rotating device is rotatably connected with the first body and the second body, and the flexible display device covers the first body, the second body and a first side of the rotating device;
the electronic equipment further comprises a coating mechanism, wherein at least one part of the rotating device is coated by the coating mechanism;
the flexible display device comprises a first display screen, a second display screen and a flexible display screen, wherein the flexible display screen is connected between the first display screen and the second display screen, the first display screen is arranged on the first side of the first body in a covering mode, the second display screen is arranged on the first side of the second body in a covering mode, and the flexible display screen is arranged on the first side of the rotating device in a covering mode;
the flexible display screen comprises a first elastic connecting piece connected with the first display screen and a second elastic connecting piece connected with the second display screen.
2. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the flexible display screen covers the first body, the second body, and the first side of the rotating device.
3. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the flexible display is attached to the first side of the rotating device as the rotating device rotates to different angles.
4. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein the rotating means is rotatable between 0 degrees and 360 degrees.
5. The electronic device according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the rotation means includes a plurality of rotation shafts arranged in parallel with each other and rotatably fitted, so that the rotation means can maintain a smooth state during the relative rotation of the first body and the second body, thereby maintaining the smooth state of the flexible display screen during the relative rotation.
6. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein in a seventh operational mode, the first body and the second body are rotated relative to each other in a V-shape with two opposing edges of the V-shaped first body and the second body supported on a support surface, in which seventh operational mode a user can touch not only the first display or the second display or the flexible display of the flexible display device individually but also the first display, the second display and the flexible display of the flexible display device simultaneously, which can also be used to display data information simultaneously.
7. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein in an eighth mode of operation, one of the first and second bodies is supported on a support surface, and in the eighth mode of operation, one of the first and second display screens of the flexible display device is used for displaying data information and the other of the first and second display screens is used for touch operation, and the flexible display screen is used for displaying data information and/or touch operation.
8. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein in a ninth mode of operation one of the first and second bodies is supported on a support surface, in which ninth mode of operation one of the first and second display screens is used for displaying data information and/or touch operations and the other of the first and second display screens is directed towards the support surface, the flexible display screen being used for displaying data information and/or touch operations.
9. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein in a tenth operational mode, in which the first display and the second display are used together for displaying data information and/or touch operations of a user, the flexible display is used for displaying data information and/or touch operations, the first body and the second body are rotated relative to each other to be in a same plane.
10. The electronic device of claim 1, wherein in an eleventh operating mode the first body and the second body are rotated relative to each other into contact with each other, in which eleventh operating mode the first display screen and the second display screen are parallel to each other and the first display screen and/or the second display screen can be used for displaying data information and/or touch operations of a user, the flexible display screen being used for displaying data information and/or touch operations.
11. The electronic device according to claim 1, wherein the coating mechanism made of a flexible material whose surface is free from wrinkles is maintained in a smooth state during rotation of the first body and the second body.
12. The electronic device defined in claim 11 wherein the flexible material is silicone.
13. The electronic device of claim 5, wherein the rotational mating of the plurality of rotational axes is achieved through a gear mating.
