CoMP communication communicates with a UE by using cooperation among a plurality of geographically separated network elements, including multipoint cooperative transmission and/or multipoint cooperative reception, and converts interference between cells into an expected signal through Joint Processing (JP), or avoids collision with beams and time-frequency resources of neighboring cells through Coordinated Scheduling/beam forming (CS/CB), thereby reducing interference of cell edge UE and improving cell edge throughput (cell edge throughput) and improving reliability.
The network element may be, for example, a cell (cell), a node (e.g., a base station, a relay node) corresponding to the cell, a Remote Radio Head (RRH), a Radio Remote Unit (RRU), an antenna port (antenna port), and the like, and the network element may be collectively referred to as a Transmission Point (TP). CoMP may be applied to downlink communication and/or uplink communication, and for uplink CoMP, the network element may also be referred to as a Receiving Point (RP).
An embodiment of the present invention provides a power headroom reporting method for coordinated multipoint communication, an execution subject of which may be user equipment, as shown in fig. 1, the method including:
step 110: the method comprises the steps that user equipment obtains an uplink coordinated multi-point (CoMP) measurement set configured by a service base station, wherein the uplink CoMP measurement set comprises measurement configuration information of a Receiving Point (RP).
The uplink CoMP measurement set includes measurement configuration information of one or more RPs, and the uplink CoMP measurement set may include the following two types of parameters, but is not limited to the following two types of parameters:
A. when the uplink CoMP measurement set indicates a Reference Signal Receiving Power (Reference Signal Receiving Power) measurement based on a channel state information Reference Signal (CSI-RS), the uplink CoMP measurement set includes: one or more CSI-RS configuration indexes and corresponding CSI-RS configuration information thereof; the CSI-RS configuration information comprises one of the following contents or any combination thereof: antenna Ports (antenna Ports Count), resource configuration (resource Config), subframe configuration (subframe Config), CSI-RS reference signal power information.
It should be noted that the content of the uplink CoMP measurement set may also only include CSI-RS configuration index information, and other configuration information and measurement sets may be included in different RRC (Radio Resource Control) cells (information elements, IE); the CSI-RS reference signal power information may be transmission power information or ratio information of PDSCH (Physical Downlink Shared Channel) Energy Per Resource Element (EPRE) to CSI-RS EPRE. The CSI-RS configuration index information may be a relevant index number of the CSI-RS configuration information, so as to identify or distinguish different CSI-RS configuration information. For example, the ue may obtain the CSI-RS configuration information assigned by the ue according to the CSI-RS configuration index information issued by the serving base station, which is not limited in the present invention.
B. When the uplink CoMP measurement set indicates Cell Reference Signal (CRS) -based RSRP measurement, the uplink CoMP measurement set includes: one or more CoMP cell indexes and corresponding CoMP cell configuration information thereof; the CoMP cell configuration information includes one or any combination of the following: the carrier frequency information of the cell includes, for example, an Absolute Radio Frequency Channel Number (ARFCN), a physical cell identifier (physcellld), CRS Reference Signal Power information (RSP), and the like.
Optionally, the ue may further obtain an uplink power control parameter configured by the serving base station, where the uplink power control parameter includes at least one of the following parameters: information such as a nominal PUCCH (Physical Uplink Control Channel) reference transmission power (p 0-nominal PUCCH), a user equipment-specific PUCCH reference transmission power (p 0-user equipment-PUCCH), a nominal PUSCH (Physical Uplink shared Channel) reference transmission power (p 0-nominal PUSCH), a user equipment-specific PUSCH reference transmission power (p 0-user equipment-PUSCH), and a downlink loss compensation factor (alpha); of course, the present embodiment is not limited thereto, and will not be described herein again. It is to be noted that, in the method of this embodiment, an uplink power control parameter corresponding to each uplink CoMP measurement set may also be configured, and an uplink power control parameter corresponding to each CSI-RS configuration information or CoMP cell configuration information in the uplink CoMP measurement set may also be configured respectively; the uplink power control parameter configuration information may be included in a different RRC information element from the associated uplink CoMP measurement set configuration information.
Optionally, the ue may also obtain downlink path loss Reference association information configured by the serving base station, where the downlink path loss Reference association information indicates association information used by the ue when estimating downlink path loss, calculating Power Headroom (PH), PUCCH/PUSCH transmission Power, and Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) transmission Power; the downlink path loss reference association information may be associated with the uplink CoMP measurement set, and is used to instruct the user equipment to estimate downlink path loss according to the CoMP measurement set, and also to instruct the user equipment to calculate PH and PUCCH/PUSCH transmission power according to uplink power control parameters corresponding to the CoMP measurement set; when the system is configured with Carrier Aggregation (CA), the downlink path loss reference correlation information may be a primary serving cell (PCell), a secondary serving cell (SCell), or an uplink CoMP measurement set; when CA is not configured, the downlink path loss reference association information may be a PCell or an uplink CoMP measurement set.
It should be noted here that, in the prior art, in RRC signaling, the user equipment is directly instructed to measure the path loss according to the reference signal CRS of the designated cell, and the user equipment may calculate the downlink path loss according to the signal power of the CRS sent by the serving cell configured by the base station — the signal power of the CRS actually received; in this embodiment, the user equipment calculates the downlink path loss according to the measurement condition of the multiple CSI-RSs in the uplink CoMP measurement set, the configuration information includes the transmission power of the multiple CSI-RSs or CRSs, and the user equipment may calculate the downlink path loss according to the power of the CSI-RSs or CRSs received by the power-user equipment that transmits the CRS or CSI-RSs by the base station based on the average value or the minimum value of the multiple CSI-RSs or CRSs, thereby ensuring the stability of downlink path loss estimation.
Optionally, after the ue acquires the uplink coordinated multi-point CoMP measurement set configured by the serving base station, the ue may send a radio resource control connection reconfiguration Complete (RRC connection reconfiguration Complete) message to the serving base station.
Step 120: and the user equipment estimates the downlink path loss according to the uplink CoMP measurement set.
Specifically, regardless of whether the serving base station indicates CSI-RS-based RSRP measurement or CRS-based RSRP measurement in the uplink CoMP measurement set configured for the user equipment, the user equipment may estimate the downlink path loss by obtaining a difference between RSP and RSRP; wherein RSP is the actual reference signal transmit power, and is configured to the ue by the serving base station through RRC signaling.
In addition, the present embodiment provides another downlink path loss estimation method, but those skilled in the art understand that the present invention is not limited to this: the downlink path loss is the minimum downlink path loss in all RPs in the uplink CoMP measurement set; or, the weighted average of the downlink path loss of all RPs, that is, different RPs may take different values as different factors, and the sum of all factors is 1; or, an average or weighted average of the minimum downlink path losses of the n RPs; wherein n is less than or equal to the number of all RPs in the uplink CoMP measurement set.
Step 130: and the user equipment generates a Power Headroom Report (PHR) according to the downlink path loss and reports the PHR to the service base station.
In this embodiment, a periodic trigger, a trigger based on a downlink loss change, or a trigger based on an uplink CoMP measurement set change is adopted, but not limited to this: specifically, the user equipment triggers the PHR process when configuration information of one or more RPs is added and/or deleted in the uplink CoMP measurement set, or when the content of the uplink CoMP measurement set is reconfigured from CRS-based RSRP measurement to CSI-RS-based RSRP measurement, or when the uplink CoMP measurement set is reconfigured from CSI-RS-based RSRP measurement to CRS-based RSRP measurement.
When the user equipment triggers the PHR process, the user equipment calculates PH and PCMAX,c(maximum UE output power configured by a serving cell c), PUSCH transmission power and PUCCH transmission power, then acquiring each parameter according to a PHR message format and writing the parameters into a corresponding field, generating a PHR and reporting the PHR to a serving base station; in this embodiment, the user equipment may calculate the PH and the PUCCH/PUSCH transmission power according to the minimum downlink path loss estimated by the uplink CoMP measurement set and the uplink power control parameter of the RP corresponding to the minimum downlink path loss, or calculate the PH and the PUCCH/PUSCH transmission power according to the downlink path loss average value or the weighted average value and the uplink power control parameter corresponding to the uplink CoMP measurement set, or calculate the PH and the PUCCH/PUSCH transmission power corresponding to each RP according to the downlink path loss estimated by each RP in the uplink CoMP measurement set and the uplink power control parameter corresponding to each RP.
In addition, when the user equipment configures the PH, the user equipment reports the PHR to the serving base station in a PH MAC CE format; when the user equipment configures extended PH, the user equipment reports PHR to the serving base station by adopting extended PHMACCE; when the user equipment configures CA and extended PH, the serving base station may configure an uplink CoMP measurement set for the primary serving cell and at least 1 secondary serving cell, respectively, and include, in the extended PH, PH information calculated according to the uplink CoMP measurement set for each serving cell configured with the uplink CoMP measurement set.
It should be noted that, in this embodiment, the PHR reported by the ue may adopt multiple formats, and the following description only takes two formats, namely, a PH MAC CE and an extended MAC CE as an example, but is not limited to this;
firstly, when reporting the PHR by using the PH MAC CE or extended MAC CE, the CSI-RS index or CoMP cell index indication is included in both the PH MAC CE and the extended MAC CE, so as to notify the serving base station of an RP corresponding to the PH; specifically, each CSI-RS index or CoMP cell index occupies 1bit, a value of 0 indicates that the measurement result of the corresponding RP is not used, and a value of 1 indicates that the measurement of the corresponding RP is used; meanwhile, under the condition of configuring multiple sets of uplink power control parameters, the base station is convenient to select the corresponding uplink power control parameters to be used as reference information for allocating uplink resources in the subsequent uplink scheduling. When the ue is configured with CA, the serving base station may configure a CoMP measurement set for the PCell and at least 1 SCell, and correspondingly indicate a CSI-RS index or a CoMP cell index for each serving cell in an extendedMAC CE reported by the ue; herein, the PCell and SCell are collectively referred to as a serving cell.
As shown in fig. 2, the PH MAC CE occupies a fixed capacity of three bytes, and includes a MAC subheader of one byte and a PHR MAC CE payload of two bytes; and "R" in the MAC subheader indicates a reserved field; "E" is an extension field indicating whether there are any subsequent MAC subheaders and corresponding media access control service data units (MAC SDUs); LCID is logical channel identification, representing the type of the MAC CE; in the MAC CE dead load, "R" represents a reserved field, PH represents a power headroom level, and the value is 0-63; d0-7 in the dead load represents a reference signal index and represents a CSI-RS index or a CoMP cell index in uplink CoMP measurement.
As shown in fig. 3, the Extended PH MAC CE format is variable length, and includes a two-byte MAC subheader and a variable length Extended PHR MAC CE payload, which are related to whether PUCCH and PUSCH are configured for simultaneous transmission, the number of scells in an active state when a PHR is transmitted, whether each activated SCell is allocated with uplink resources, and other factors(ii) a Wherein, the meaning of the 'R/E/LCID' in the MAC subheader is the same as that of the MAC subheader of the PHR; "F" indicates whether the "L" field is 7bit or 15 bit; "L" represents the length of the MAC deadload; the meaning of R/PH in the MAC CE dead load is the same as that of PH MAC CE dead load; when the simultaneous transmission of the PUCCH and the PUSCH is configured, the method also comprises type 2PH, otherwise, the method only comprises type 1 PH; "C1-C7" indicates whether PH corresponding to SCell index exists, and only scells in activated state have corresponding PH; d0-7 represents a reference signal index, which represents a CSI-RS index or a CoMP cell index in uplink CoMP measurement configured by a corresponding service cell; "P" indicates whether the user equipment performs power backoff; "V" indicates whether the PH is calculated for real uplink transmission or virtual PH, the former indicates that uplink resources are allocated on the SCell when the PHR is transmitted, and the latter indicates that no uplink resources are allocated on the SCell, but a reference format is used; when "V" is 0, it is the maximum UE output power P configured by the corresponding serving cellCMAXThe field does not appear.
Secondly, when reporting the PHR by using the extended PH MAC CE, the extended PH MAC CE may also include a PH calculated according to a downlink path loss of each RP and/or a corresponding PCMAX(ii) a When CA is configured, the service base station respectively configures CoMP measurement sets for the PCell and at least 1 SCell, and the extended MAC CE respectively comprises the PH calculated according to the downlink path loss of each RP in the uplink CoMP measurement set and/or the corresponding P for each service cellCMAX(ii) a The difference between the method and the system is that the PCell and each activated serving cell can contain a plurality of PHs, and when the bit value corresponding to the CSI-RS index or the CoMP cell index D0-D7 is 1, the PH is contained; p of each active serving cellCMAXIncludes 1, and may include more than one, which are not described herein again.
In addition, the present embodiment may further include step 140: when a periodic measurement report timer is overtime, or when RSRP of one or more RPs in an uplink CoMP measurement set is smaller than a threshold X or downlink path loss is larger than a threshold Y, or when the difference value of the estimated downlink path loss and the minimum RP downlink path loss exceeds a threshold Z, the user equipment reports a measurement report to the serving base station so that the serving base station updates the uplink CoMP measurement set according to the measurement report; wherein the thresholds X, Y and Z are preset threshold values.
In this embodiment, the measurement report that the ue reports to the serving base station may further include: a CSI-RS index or PCI (Physical cell identification) corresponding to an RP with the minimum downlink path loss in the uplink CoMP measurement set; or CSI-RS indexes or PCIs corresponding to a plurality of RPs with the minimum downlink path loss in the uplink CoMP measurement set; or CSI-RS indexes or PCIs corresponding to one or more RPs with RSRP smaller than a threshold x or downlink path loss larger than the threshold x in the uplink CoMP measurement set; in addition, the measurement report may further include an RSRP or a downlink path loss value, etc., corresponding to the CSI-RS or the PCI corresponding to the RP; but is not limited thereto.
Another embodiment of the present invention also provides a power headroom reporting method for coordinated multipoint communication, which is described with respect to the previous embodiment taking a base station as an execution subject, and as shown in fig. 4, the method includes:
step 210: configuring an uplink coordinated multi-point (CoMP) measurement set for user equipment, wherein the uplink CoMP measurement set comprises measurement configuration information of a Receiving Point (RP).
It should be noted that, in order to obtain a suitable RP from multiple RPs in the CoMP technology, in this embodiment, the serving base station needs to configure a CoMP measurement set for the user equipment through a radio resource control Connection Reconfiguration (RRC Connection Reconfiguration) message, in addition to configuring the uplink power control parameter and the downlink loss reference association information for the user equipment. Optionally, after receiving the rrc connection reconfiguration message, the ue extracts the uplink CoMP measurement set from the message.
The uplink CoMP measurement set includes measurement configuration information of one or more RPs, and the uplink CoMP measurement set may include the following two types of parameters, but is not limited to the following two types of parameters:
A. when the uplink CoMP measurement set indicates a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) -based RSRP measurement, the uplink CoMP measurement set includes: one or more CSI-RS configuration indexes and corresponding CSI-RS configuration information thereof; the CSI-RS configuration information comprises one of the following contents or any combination thereof: antenna Ports (antenna Ports Count), resource configuration (resource Config), subframe configuration (subframe Config), CSI-RS reference signal power information, and the like;
it should be noted that the content of the uplink CoMP measurement set may also only include CSI-RS configuration index information, and other configuration information and measurement sets may be included in different RRC cells (information elements, IEs); the CSI-RS reference signal power information may be transmission power information or ratio information of PDSCH Energy Per Resource Element (EPRE) to CSI-RS EPRE.
It should also be noted that the content of the uplink CoMP measurement set may also only include the CoMP cell index and the corresponding physical cell identifier configuration information, and other configuration information and measurement sets are included in different RRC cells (information elements, IEs).
In addition, when the serving base station configures an uplink power control parameter for the ue, the uplink power control parameter includes at least one of the following: nominal PUCCH reference transmission power (p 0-NominalPUCCH), user equipment specific PUCCH reference transmission power (p 0-user equipment-PUCCH), nominal PUSCH reference transmission power (p 0-NominalPUSCH), user equipment specific PUSCH reference transmission power (p 0-user equipment-PUSCH), downlink path loss compensation factor (alpha) and the like; of course, the present embodiment is not limited thereto, and will not be described herein again.
Similarly, after the serving base station configures downlink path loss reference association information for the user equipment, the downlink path loss reference association information indicates association information used by the user equipment in estimating downlink path loss, calculating a PH, a PUCCH/PUSCH transmission power, and a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) transmission power; the downlink path loss reference association information may be associated with the uplink CoMP measurement set, and is used to instruct the user equipment to estimate downlink path loss according to the CoMP measurement set, and also to instruct the user equipment to calculate PH and PUCCH/PUSCH transmission power according to uplink power control parameters corresponding to the CoMP measurement set; when a system is configured with Carrier Aggregation (CA), the downlink path loss reference association information may be a primary serving cell (PCell), a secondary serving cell (SCell), or an uplink CoMP measurement set; when CA is not configured, the downlink path loss reference association information may be a PCell or an uplink CoMP measurement set.
It should be noted here that, in the prior art, in RRC signaling, the user equipment is directly instructed to measure the path loss according to the reference signal CRS of the designated cell, and the user equipment may calculate the downlink path loss according to the signal power of the CRS sent by the serving cell configured by the base station — the signal power of the CRS actually received; in this embodiment, the user equipment is instructed to calculate the downlink path loss according to the measurement condition of the multiple CSI-RSs in the uplink CoMP measurement set, the configuration information includes the transmission power of the multiple CSI-RSs or CRSs, and the user equipment may calculate the downlink path loss according to the average value or the minimum value of the multiple CSI-RSs or CRSs and the power of the CSI-RSs or CRSs received by the user equipment, where the power of the CRS or CSI-RSs is sent by the base station, so as to ensure the stability of downlink path loss estimation.
It should be noted that, in this embodiment, the serving base station reconfiguring the uplink CoMP measurement set for the ue also belongs to one of the operations of the serving base station configuring parameters for the ue; for example, configuration information of one or more RPs is added and/or deleted from the current uplink CoMP measurement set; for another example, the content of the current uplink CoMP measurement set is reconfigured from the CRS-based RSRP measurement to the CSI-RS-based RSRP measurement, or from the CSI-RS-based RSRP measurement to the CRS-based RSRP measurement, etc.; and will not be described in detail herein.
Step 220: and acquiring a Power Headroom Report (PHR) which is reported by the user equipment and generated according to the downlink path loss estimated by the uplink CoMP measurement set.
Specifically, no matter the serving base station indicates CSI-RS-based RSRP measurement or CRS-based RSRP measurement in the uplink CoMP measurement set configured for the user equipment, the user equipment estimates the downlink path loss by obtaining a difference between RSP and RSRP; wherein RSP is the actual reference signal transmit power, and is configured to the ue by the serving base station through RRC signaling.
In addition, when the user equipment configures the PH, the user equipment reports the PHR to the serving base station in a PH MAC CE format; when the user equipment configures extended PH, the user equipment reports PHR to the serving base station by adopting extended PH MACCE; when the user equipment configures CA and extended PH, the serving base station may configure an uplink CoMP measurement set for the primary serving cell and at least 1 secondary serving cell, respectively, and include, in the extended PH, PH information calculated according to the uplink CoMP measurement set for each serving cell configured with the uplink CoMP measurement set.
In addition, the present embodiment may further include step 230: when a periodic measurement report timer is overtime, or when RSRP of one or more RPs in an uplink CoMP measurement set is smaller than a threshold X or downlink path loss is larger than a threshold Y, or when the difference value of the estimated downlink path loss and the minimum RP downlink path loss exceeds a threshold Z, the service base station receives a measurement report reported by the user equipment and updates the uplink CoMP measurement set according to the measurement report; wherein the thresholds X, Y and Z are preset threshold values.
In this embodiment, the measurement report reported by the ue received by the serving base station may further include: a CSI-RS index or PCI (Physical cell identification) corresponding to an RP with the minimum downlink path loss in the uplink CoMP measurement set; or CSI-RS indexes or PCIs corresponding to a plurality of RPs with the minimum downlink path loss in the uplink CoMP measurement set; or CSI-RS indexes or PCIs corresponding to one or more RPs with RSRP smaller than a threshold x or downlink path loss larger than the threshold x in the uplink CoMP measurement set; in addition, the measurement report may further include an RSRP or a downlink path loss value, etc., corresponding to the CSI-RS or the PCI corresponding to the RP; but is not limited thereto.
Correspondingly, after receiving the measurement report reported by the user equipment, the serving base station may also update the uplink CoMP measurement set according to the measurement report, and configure the updated uplink CoMP measurement set for the user equipment; and the user equipment sends a radio resource control connection reconfiguration completion message to a service base station after receiving the updated uplink CoMP measurement set. The operation of the serving base station updating the uplink CoMP measurement set may be specifically implemented by the following means, but is not limited to the following: and deleting the RP corresponding to the RSRP smaller than a first preset threshold value or the downlink path loss larger than a second preset threshold value from the uplink CoMP measurement set, or adding new RP configuration information in the uplink CoMP measurement set.
Specifically, when the measurement report shows that the radio condition of the ue changes due to a change in location or the like, individual RPs in the uplink CoMP measurement set configured by the serving base station may no longer be suitable for participating in uplink cooperative communication of the ue, and at this time, the serving base station is required to delete the RPs or add a new RP; for example, the serving base station deletes an RP corresponding to an RSRP smaller than a threshold x or a downlink path loss larger than the threshold x from the uplink CoMP measurement set, or the serving base station adds new RP configuration information to the uplink CoMP measurement set according to other measurement results, such as SRS or Radio Resource Management (RRM) measurement; of course, other methods are possible, and the present embodiment is not described herein again.
It can be seen that, by adopting the method of the embodiment of the present invention, the serving base station configures the uplink CoMP measurement set for the user equipment, so that the user equipment estimates the downlink path loss according to the uplink CoMP measurement set, thereby avoiding the problem of uncertainty of reference of the downlink path loss in uplink CoMP, further avoiding the problems of interference enhancement, decrease in RP reception success rate, decrease in uplink throughput, and the like caused by large PUSCH/PUCCH transmission power and small PH, so that the user equipment and the serving base station more accurately estimate the downlink path loss and PUSCH/PUCCH transmission power, more accurately allocate uplink resources, decrease interference, and increase in uplink throughput.
