Description
Technical Field
The embodiment of the invention relates to the technical field of mobile internet, in particular to an electronic multimedia content update prompting method and device.
Background
This section is intended to provide a background or context to the embodiments of the invention that are recited in the claims. The description herein is not admitted to be prior art by inclusion in this section.
An electronic book, also called e-book, can be downloaded to a user device through a network connection in the form of an electronic file by means of special reading software (reader), for example: personal computer
The book reading on a reader (PC), a notebook computer (Note-book), even a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), a WAP mobile phone or any reader capable of storing digital reading data (digital reading material) is a substitute of the traditional paper book.
With the development of mobile internet technology and cloud processing technology, content service providers have realized cloud-based e-book reading services. The electronic book reading service system based on the cloud comprises an electronic book client and an electronic book server, wherein the electronic book client is installed on the mobile device, the electronic book server is used for storing the electronic book, and a user downloads the electronic book from the electronic book server for reading after establishing network connection with the electronic book server through the electronic book client. Generally, when there is an e-book update, the e-book server may send a notification message to the e-book client, and the e-book client presents the notification message to the user, or the e-book server may push e-book comments, content updates, or other notification messages to the user through the e-book client, and in order to prevent the user from missing important messages, the number of received messages is displayed on an e-book client desktop icon of the mobile device, as shown in fig. 1 a. If there is an update of the e-book content or a new e-book is on the shelf, etc., a message number, as illustrated by numeral 7, may be displayed on the e-book client application icon 100 of the terminal. If the user finds that the content of the electronic book in which the user is interested is updated according to the notification message, for example, when a new chapter of the electronic book of the continuous-loading type is updated, the user can enter the bookshelf, find the electronic book with the updated content, and click the cover of the electronic book to enter the text of the electronic book for reading, fig. 1b is a schematic diagram of pages of the bookshelf of the electronic book, and fig. 1c is a schematic diagram of the text of the electronic book.
However, in the conventional notification message presentation method, the electronic book content update message that is more focused on the user is notified together with other notification messages, and the client displays only the number of notification messages.
Therefore, in the prior art, a user needs to open a client and confirm notification messages one by one to determine whether the e-book content is updated. On the other hand, when it is determined that the user needs to read the updated content after the content of the electronic book is updated, the user needs to enter the electronic book shelf and open the electronic book after finding the corresponding electronic book, so that the user is very complicated to operate, and the complicated operation also increases the cost of processing resources of the mobile device, which is a very annoying process.

The principles and spirit of the present invention are explained in detail below with reference to several representative embodiments of the invention.
Summary of The Invention
The inventor finds that compared with notification messages such as electronic book content comments, a user pays more attention to the notification messages of electronic book content updating, in the prior art, when there is content updating, an electronic book server only sends the electronic content updating notification messages to an electronic book client, the electronic book client displays the number of the notification messages through shortcut icons, and the user cannot determine whether the notification messages of content updating exist or not because the content updating notification messages are combined with the number of other notification messages such as electronic book content comments and displayed. In addition, even if the user determines the electronic book with updated content by checking the notification message one by one, if the user needs to check the updated content, the user needs to open the electronic book client, search for the corresponding electronic book on the electronic bookshelf, and click the cover of the electronic book to enter the text of the electronic book for reading, i.e., the user has a longer operation path for acquiring the updated content of the electronic book, which not only increases the operation complexity of checking the updated content of the electronic book by the user, but also increases the cost of processing resources of the mobile device. In order to solve the problem, in the implementation of the invention, the electronic book client actively queries the electronic book with updated content from the electronic book server and acquires the updated content, and after the updated content is acquired, the desktop shortcut of the electronic book is created on the desktop of the mobile device, so that the user can access the electronic book through the shortcut, the path for the user to access the content and update the electronic book is shortened, the operation of the user is simplified, and the processing resource of the mobile device is saved.
Having described the general principles of the invention, various non-limiting embodiments of the invention are described in detail below.
Application scene overview
Referring first to fig. 2, a user 10 may access an electronic book server 12 on the network side through an electronic book client installed on a mobile device 11. Specifically, the user 10 may register to the e-book server 12 through the e-book client to obtain a user name, and then access the e-book server 12 by using the registered user name, for example, the user may download the e-book, make a comment, and the like by using the registered user name, when the e-book server 12 shelves a new e-book, or when the content of an existing e-book is updated, or another user makes a comment on a certain e-book, send a notification message to the user 10 through the e-book client, and the e-book client displays the number of the notification messages through a shortcut icon on the desktop of the mobile device 11.
The mobile device 11 and the server 12 are communicatively connected through a network, where the network may be a wireless local area network, a cellular network, or the like. The mobile device 11 may be a portable device, for example: a mobile phone, a tablet, a notebook computer, etc., the server 12 may be any server device capable of forwarding and processing messages sent by users.
Exemplary method
An update prompting method of a multimedia file according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention is described below with reference to fig. 3, 4a, and 4b in conjunction with the application scenario of fig. 2. It should be noted that the above application scenarios are merely illustrated for the convenience of understanding the spirit and principles of the present invention, and the embodiments of the present invention are not limited in this respect. Rather, embodiments of the present invention may be applied to any scenario where applicable.
It should be noted that the multimedia files related to the embodiment of the present invention may include, but are not limited to, multimedia files that can be provided over a network, such as electronic books, animations, and videos.
As shown in fig. 3, an implementation flow diagram of the method for prompting update of a multimedia file according to an embodiment of the present invention may include the following steps:
and S31, obtaining the content updating information of the multimedia file from the network side server.
In specific implementation, a client installed in the mobile device 11 by a user may actively obtain content update information of the multimedia file from a network-side server.
The client can periodically obtain the content updating information of the multimedia file from the server, can also obtain the content updating information of the multimedia file from the server under the trigger of a user, and can also obtain the content updating information of the multimedia file from the server when monitoring the content updating notification message sent by the server. The content update information may include, among other things, an identification of the multimedia file and the content updated in the multimedia file.
According to different types of multimedia files, the client can be an electronic book client, a video playing client, and the like.
For convenience of description, the multimedia file is taken as an electronic book in the embodiment of the present invention. Generally, the content update information of the electronic book may include the identification of the electronic book and the specific content of the update, such as the section of the electronic book update.
For video files, the content update information may include video file identification, updated video content, such as a television series that updates a new episode, and so forth.
And S32, after the content updating information of the multimedia file is acquired, creating a desktop shortcut of the multimedia file on the desktop of the mobile device.
After the client acquires the content updating information, a desktop shortcut of the mobile device is created on the desktop of the mobile device according to the multimedia file identification in the content updating information.
Because the multimedia files provided by the server are usually massive, and there are possibly many multimedia files updated at the same time, and the user may only be interested in a certain multimedia file or some multimedia files, if the client creates a corresponding desktop shortcut on the desktop of the mobile device for each multimedia file, the overhead of processing resources of the mobile device is increased, troubles are also caused to the user, and the user experience is reduced.
Therefore, in the embodiment of the invention, the user can set the concerned multimedia file, and the client only creates the desktop shortcut aiming at the multimedia file set by the user.
Based on this, the update prompting method for the multimedia file provided in the embodiment of the present invention further includes, before executing step S31, the following steps: recording a multimedia file identifier selected by a user; according to the multimedia file identifier selected by the user, in step S31, content update information of the multimedia file corresponding to the recorded multimedia file identifier is acquired from the network side server; and further, in step S32, after the content update information of the multimedia file corresponding to the multimedia file identifier is obtained, a desktop shortcut of the multimedia file is created on the desktop of the mobile device.
Taking the example that the user sets the e-book concerned by the user as an example, as shown in fig. 4a, an interface schematic diagram of the e-book concerned by the user is set for the e-book client, and the user interacts with the e-book client through the interface. Specifically, the e-book client may provide an e-book identifier for the user to select, the e-book records the e-book identifier selected by the user, and the server obtains content update information of the corresponding e-book according to the e-book identifier selected by the user. Furthermore, the electronic book can also inform the server of the electronic book identifier selected by the user, and when the content of the electronic book selected by the user is updated, the server informs the electronic book client to obtain the corresponding updated content.
It should be noted that, for the same multimedia file, the client only needs to create a desktop shortcut on the desktop of the mobile device, and according to the obtained content update information of the multimedia file, the number of the obtained content update information is displayed through the desktop shortcut icon of the multimedia file. For example, for a certain electronic book, a third chapter of content is added at a certain time, a fourth chapter of content is added after a week, and if the client acquires the corresponding content of the fourth chapter and the desktop shortcut of the electronic book exists on the desktop of the mobile device, it is only necessary to add 1 to the amount of content update information displayed by the desktop shortcut icon of the electronic book. FIG. 4b is a schematic diagram of a desktop shortcut 41 created for an e-book in the embodiment of the present invention.
In a specific implementation, the client may further display the content update summary information of the multimedia file through the created desktop shortcut, for example, the e-book client may display updated e-book chapter information through the created desktop shortcut, that is, the chapter number of the section is updated.
Preferably, when the client creates the desktop shortcut of the multimedia file, a link to the content in the multimedia file starting from the starting position can be established through the desktop shortcut, and correspondingly, when the desktop shortcut of the multimedia file is detected to be triggered, the content in the multimedia file starting from the starting position is displayed.
Preferably, in order to further shorten the path for the user to access the updated content in the multimedia file, when the client creates the desktop shortcut of the multimedia file, the client may also establish a link to the location of the updated content through the desktop shortcut, and correspondingly, when it is detected that the created desktop shortcut is triggered, the content in the multimedia file starting from the location of the updated content is displayed.
In one embodiment, the desktop shortcut for the multimedia file is blanked upon detecting that the desktop shortcut created for the multimedia file is triggered.
In particular, if there are multiple updated contents for the same multimedia file, the client can establish a link to the location where any of the updated contents are located. For example, the client may establish a link to a location where the update content with the earliest update time is located according to the update time. Correspondingly, when detecting that the desktop shortcut of the multimedia file is triggered, the content starting from the position of any content can be displayed, meanwhile, the number of the displayed desktop shortcuts is reduced by 1, and a link to the position of another updated content is established through the desktop shortcut of the multimedia file, for example, a link to the position of the updated content with the earliest update time in the unopened updated content can be established according to the update time of the unopened updated content.
When it is detected that new updated content is opened, the number of desktop shortcut displays is correspondingly reduced, i.e. each time it is detected that new content is opened, the number of desktop shortcut displays is reduced by 1. Similarly, when the client acquires the new content update information of the multimedia file, the number of desktop shortcuts displayed through the multimedia file is increased by 1.
In specific implementation, the client may blank the desktop shortcut of the created multimedia file under the following conditions: the user has viewed all the updated contents of the multimedia file, namely the client detects that the last updated content is opened; or the user deletes the desktop shortcut for the multimedia file.
According to the embodiment of the invention, when the content of the multimedia file is updated, the user can be prompted by creating the desktop shortcut of the corresponding multimedia file on the desktop of the mobile equipment, so that the user can directly access the multimedia file with the updated content through the link, the path of accessing the multimedia file by the user is shortened, and the processing resource of the mobile equipment is saved; the user can also select the concerned multimedia file, and the client-side reminds the user only when the concerned multimedia file is updated according to the multimedia file selected by the user. Furthermore, if a plurality of content updates of the same multimedia file exist, the client only creates one desktop shortcut, displays the number of content updates through the created desktop shortcut icon, reduces the number of displays according to user operation, correspondingly increases the number of displays when new content update information is acquired, and improves user experience.
In addition, according to the embodiment of the invention, when the client establishes the desktop shortcut of the multimedia file, the link to the starting position of the multimedia file or the position of any updated content is also established at the same time, and the user can directly access the multimedia file or the updated content, thereby simplifying the operation required by the user for accessing the multimedia file and saving the processing resource of the mobile device.
