Abstract

Description
发明背景
本发明通常涉及织造和非织造基底。已经发现当用专门开发用于印刷乙烯基和其它类似有机材料的油墨进行印刷时,这些基底具有差的印刷质量和耐久性。这种基底的一个主要问题是缺少这样的表面层,该表面层在油墨碰撞到基底时能够获得良好的润湿。结果通常是低的色域和不期望的渗色。此外,印刷的区域通常不具有良好的耐擦性。
发明内容
本文公开的制品、方法和系统的实施方案有利地表明当用包括颜料着色剂、胶乳粘合剂、非水溶剂和水的油墨印刷织造和非织造基底时,包括苯乙烯丙烯酸、可自交联的聚氨酯和可自交联的苯乙烯-丁二烯共聚物的优化的涂料配方明显地提高了色域(能够达到高到500000色域)和渗色。印刷样品的耐久性也得以提高。在一种实施方案中,该印刷在可喷墨印刷制品的油墨接受层上的油墨包括颜料着色剂、胶乳粘合剂、非水溶剂和水。
在结合到芯基底上的可喷墨印刷制品的一种实施方案中,油墨接受层包括下面组分的混合物:i)至少一种可自交联的聚氨酯树脂;ii)至少一种可自交联的苯乙烯丁二烯共聚物;和iii)至少一种苯乙烯丙烯酸共聚物。在另外一种实施方案中,该可喷墨印刷制品的油墨接受层包括20-60重量%的可自交联的聚氨酯树脂;10-40重量%的可自交联的苯乙烯丁二烯共聚物;和10-50重量%的苯乙烯丙烯酸共聚物。
在上述可喷墨印刷制品的另一种实施方案中,该可喷墨印刷制品的油墨接受层的硬度是大约5MPa-大约50MPa。
在本发明的一种实施方案中,使用下面成分的组合来获得用于织造或者非织造基底的油墨接受层的涂料配方。Sancure815和Turboset2025都是可自交联的聚氨酯,获自USA,OH,Cleveland的Lubrizol。它们都用于该实施方案中。这两种聚氨酯一起为使用Windex清洁器的擦拭试验中的涂料配方提供了良好的耐擦性。它们还有助于保持良好的图像质量。Rovene4151是一种可自交联的苯乙烯-丁二烯共聚物,获自USA,NC,Charlotte的Mallard Creek Polymer,Inc.。该共聚物提供了对于包括颜料着色剂、胶乳粘合剂、非水溶剂和水的油墨良好的亲合性。它还提供了良好的图像质量(IQ)。Hycar26448获自USA,OH,Cleveland的Lubrizol,它是一种苯乙烯丙烯酸共聚物,其能够将油墨接受层的表面能从30达因/cm的初始低水平提高到最高达45达因/cm。这进而有助于提高色域。
还在油墨接受层中测试了下面的其它已知的聚氨酯,并且发现除了加入特别的交联剂例如Xama外,它们不是有效的,该其它已知的聚氨酯例如是获自USA,CT,Middlebury的Chemtura Corp.的Witcobond213;获自USA,NC,Greensboro的AlberdingK Boley Inc.的AlberdingK U2101和AlberdingK CUR21;获自USA,PA,Pittsburgh的Bayer Material Science LLC.的Bayhydrol140AQ和BayhydrolXP2618;和获自USA,OH,Cleveland的Lubrizol的Sancure2715。
作为一种非限定性的例子,上述的油墨接受层可以施用到由织造或者非织造基底材料制成的基底上。不同的方法可以用于将该油墨接受层施用到基底上。这样的方法的一些非限定性的例子包括门-辊计量涂布,刮刀计量涂布,Meyer棒计量涂布,或者狭缝计量涂布。在由织造或者非织造材料制成的基底中所用的材料的非限定性的例子包括高密度聚乙烯(HDPE)。
在织造基底材料的一种非限定性的例子中,开始时将HDPE粉碎,并且挤出来生产HDPE纤维。将该纤维织入基底中。作为一个例子,由HDPE纤维织造的基底可购自加拿大安大略湖的PGI-Fabrene Inc.,产品名称PGI-Fabrene-V749-2W5W3。在另一种实施方案中,该可喷墨印刷制品的织造基底可以处于由天然和/或合成纤维制成的织造的或者编织的织物的形式。
在非织造基底材料的一种非限定性的例子中,将HDPE加压和固结成为一种平的、片状基底材料。这样的基底的一个例子是以商标名Tyvek销售自USA,DE,Wilmington的DuPont公司。
织造和非织造基底二者都具有许多空隙或者孔,其每个可以用直径大约为3μm-20μm的阴离子性或者中性颗粒填充。二氧化硅颗粒(其是阴离子的)特别适用于填充存在于这样的基底中的孔。还可以使用具有阴离子或者中性电荷的其它无机或者有机颗粒。它们包括具有中性电荷的有机球体。
这样的用于填充孔或者空隙的颗粒给基底本身赋予了电荷。因此基底(其具有施用到整个表面上来填充空隙的二氧化硅颗粒)将具有完全的负性表面电荷。相反,具有用有机球体来填充空隙的基底将具有完全的中性表面电荷。
在一种实施方案中,作为上述阴离子颗粒赋予的表面电荷的结果,该可喷墨印刷制品的油墨接受层的Zeta(ζ)电位范围是从-10到-80mV。ζ电位值是用来自USA,MA,Westborough的Malvern Instruments的Zetasizer Nano-ZS(型号:Zen 3600)来测量的。
同样在一种实施方案中,已经发现使用印刷到上述涂料配方上的油墨时,在该油墨之间发生的渗色在该油墨之间为小于10mil间隔。

实施例1
测量了本发明所述的基底的油墨接受层中所用的不同的聚合物的ζ电位,包括聚氨酯和其它聚合物。该ζ电位值示于表1中。该ζ电位值代表了离子特性。正值代表了阳离子特性,负值代表阴离子特性。

实施例3
对不同的聚氨酯进行了采用Windex溶剂的擦拭测试。将聚氨酯包覆的表面用Windex溶剂浸泡的布进行擦拭。基于用Windex溶剂擦拭的面上表面保持的完好程度来将所述配方分为通过/失败。“通过”情形给予任何这样的测试样品,即在用Windex清洁器擦拭所述的膜6次之后,该膜没有表现出任何的损坏。“失败”情形给予任何这样的测试样品,即在用Windex清洁器擦拭所述的膜6次之后,该膜出现损坏。不同的配方的测试结果在下表4中示出。

实施例4
将聚氨酯和其它聚合物的四种配方作为油墨接受层分别施用到四个基底上。所述层中的配方指定为配方3-6。该非水溶剂油墨然后施用到配方3-6的每个上。胶乳含水油墨也分别施用到配方3-6的每个上。结果如下表5所示。仅有非水溶剂油墨配方6表现出良好的结果。
还通过将两种油墨颜色彼此相邻印刷来测试了配方3-6的色对色的渗色。当一种颜色的油墨进入到另一色油墨中时发生渗色。在本申请中所示的色对色的渗色结果是用一种油墨渗入到相邻油墨时经过的距离来度量的。表5中较高的色对色的渗色结果数值(单位毫英寸(mil))代表了渗色的增加。这样增加的渗色导致了更差的图像锐度,该锐度影响图像质量。当油墨间的色对色渗色仅仅发生在小的距离时(例如<10mil),这对于图像锐度和图像质量具有好的影响。

实施例5
获得了上述实施例所述的配方1-6的样品的印刷质量可见的分级。将样品用非水溶剂油墨和带有胶乳聚合物的含水油墨单独进行印刷。在分级中,1是最差,5是最好。该分级列表在下表6中。该表还包括了实施例3中所述的基于用Windex清洁器作为溶剂的擦拭测试的膜耐久性结果。测试是在非织造和织造基底二者上进行的。

Claims (22)
1.一种可喷墨印刷制品,其包含结合到芯基底上的油墨接受层,该油墨接受层基本上由下列组分组成:大约20-60重量%的可自交联的聚氨酯树脂;大约10-40重量%的可自交联的苯乙烯丁二烯共聚物;和大约10-50重量%的苯乙烯丙烯酸共聚物,其中该油墨接受层是阴离子性的或者中性的,和其中该芯基底包括选自织造材料和非织造材料的材料。

该芯基底包括选自织造材料和非织造材料的材料。
