Abstract
The invention discloses a scanning method based on a multi-carrier system. In the method, a service base station of a terminal informs a terminal of carrying out carrier scanning by a scanning message, wherein the scanning message comprises at least one of radio-frequency channel information scanned by the terminal and one or a plurality of carriers needing to be scanned by the terminal. The technical scheme of the invention provides a carrier scanning method based on a multi-carrier system, which enables the terminal to finish scanning on a plurality of carriers of a plurality of base stations in the multi-carrier system and provides a reasonable reference value for carrier switching in and among the base stations of the terminal.
Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to the field of communications, and in particular, to a scanning method based on a multi-carrier system.
Background
The 802.16m system is a multi-carrier system based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA), and is an evolution system of the 802.16e system. Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a protocol architecture of a multi-carrier system, and as shown in fig. 1, a single Medium Access Control (MAC) entity can Control a Physical layer (PHY) including multiple channels. In the 802.16e system, as the channel fades or the carrier load increases, the terminal may terminate the connection with the current serving base station and switch to the carrier of other base stations to obtain better Quality of Service (QoS). Before switching, the terminal scans the carriers of the serving base station and the neighboring base station to obtain the channel quality of a plurality of carriers, so as to select a proper target base station for switching. At present, a method for scanning the channel quality of a neighboring base station by a terminal in an 802.16e system is provided, and association can be performed during scanning, so that the terminal obtains and records a ranging parameter and useful service information, and conditions are provided for selecting a target base station and switching to the target base station. In the existing technical scheme, no specific solution is given for the scanning method of the 802.16m multi-carrier system.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention is proposed in view of the problem that the related art cannot perform scanning on an 802.16m multi-carrier system, and therefore, a main object of the present invention is to provide a scanning method based on a multi-carrier system to solve the above problem.
According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a scanning method based on a multi-carrier system.
The scanning method based on the multi-carrier system comprises the following steps: a serving base station of a terminal informs the terminal of carrier scanning through a scanning message, wherein the scanning message comprises at least one of the following: radio frequency channel information scanned by the terminal, and one or more carriers to be scanned by the terminal.
Through at least one technical scheme of the invention, the carrier scanning method based on the multi-carrier system is provided, so that the terminal can complete scanning on a plurality of carriers of a plurality of base stations in the multi-carrier system, and a reasonable reference value is provided for carrier switching in the base stations and between the base stations of the terminal.

Detailed Description
Overview of the function
At present, in a multi-carrier system, a quality of Service (QoS) is reduced due to channel fading, and at this time, a terminal at a cell edge terminates a connection with a current serving base station and switches to a carrier of an adjacent base station to obtain a better QoS; with the increase of the traffic volume and the introduction of new traffic, the load of the carrier where the user in the cell center is located is too heavy, and if the load of other carriers of the service base station of the user is small, the user can switch to other carriers of the service base station to ensure the system load balance. In addition, different carriers of the non-continuous frequency band may generate fading of different degrees, and if the channel quality of the carrier where the user is located is degraded, the carrier of the user may also be switched to other carriers with better channel quality of the serving base station to meet the QoS requirement of the user. Based on this, the invention provides a scanning method based on a multi-carrier system, which prepares for the base station switching of a terminal.

Method embodiment
According to an embodiment of the present invention, a scanning method based on a multi-carrier system is provided.
The scanning method based on the multi-carrier system according to the embodiment comprises the following steps: a serving base station of a terminal informs the terminal of carrier scanning through a scanning message, wherein the scanning message comprises at least one of the following: radio frequency channel information scanned by the terminal, and one or more carriers to be scanned by the terminal. The terminal can then scan one or more carriers according to the scan message and using the radio frequency channel indicated in the radio frequency channel information. Preferably, the base station may transmit the scan message to the terminal through a primary carrier of the terminal.
Preferably, the scan message may further include at least one of: scanning start time, scanning interval, scanning result reporting rule, type of report value to be reported and scanning type. In addition, in the case that the channel scanned by the terminal and the radio frequency channel used by the terminal for communicating with the serving base station are the same channel (that is, the terminal has only one radio frequency channel, and the channel is used for both normal communication between the terminal and the base station and scanning of the terminal), the scanning message may further include a non-scanning interval and a repetition number.

For each base station that the terminal needs to scan, the serving base station needs to inform the terminal of the scanning types of these base stations that need to scan. And, the serving base station may select one or more carriers to be scanned among predetermined carriers, where the predetermined carriers may include at least one of: all fully configured carriers and part or all of all partially configured carriers which are supported by the terminal under the serving base station and are not used by the terminal currently, all fully configured carriers and part or all of partially configured carriers of the neighbor base station, and part or all of carriers in the base station of which the terminal knows the base station identifier.
In the embodiment of the present invention, the scanning may be initiated by the base station or the terminal, and the following describes two different initiation manners:
(mode one) terminal-initiated scanning

In the first and second manners, the serving base station needs to first set a predetermined trigger condition, where the predetermined trigger condition includes one of the following: the measured value of the carrier currently used by the terminal is less than or equal to a preset measured value threshold, and the load value of the carrier currently used by the terminal is greater than or equal to a preset load value threshold.
And, for a carrier belonging to the serving base station, the predetermined trigger condition thereof is the same as or different from the predetermined trigger condition of the carrier of other base station (which may be a base station of a cell in the neighbor list of the serving base station); wherein the predetermined trigger condition for scanning the carrier belonging to the serving base station and the predetermined trigger condition for scanning the carrier belonging to the other base station are the same as each other: the predetermined measurement value threshold when scanning the base station is equal to the predetermined measurement value threshold when scanning other base stations, or the predetermined load value threshold when scanning the base station is equal to the predetermined load value threshold when scanning other base stations.

It should be noted that, regardless of the first or second manner (i.e., regardless of whether the scanning is initiated by the serving base station or whether the terminal notifies the serving base station of its desired scanning parameters through a scanning message to trigger the scanning), the relevant parameters required by the terminal when performing the scanning are determined by the serving base station, that is, the serving base station may not employ the parameters carried in the scanning request message sent by the terminal.
In addition, in the method, the terminal can perform capability negotiation with the serving base station, and inform the serving base station of the radio frequency channel identifier of the terminal in the capability negotiation process; the service base station stores the mapping information of the identifier of the terminal and the notified radio frequency channel identifier, and the mapping information of the currently working radio frequency channel of the terminal and the currently working carrier wave of the terminal.
After the scanning is finished, the terminal may send the scanning result to the serving base station through the main carrier of the terminal according to the scanning result reporting rule, where the scanning result includes: reporting the mode, reporting the value type and measuring result after the terminal scans one or more carriers; and the service base station selects a target carrier for the terminal according to the scanning result.
Through the technical scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention, the terminal can complete scanning on a plurality of carriers of a plurality of base stations in a multi-carrier system, and a reasonable reference value is provided for carrier switching in the base stations and between the base stations of the terminal.
The scan request message or the scan response message in the method according to the present embodiment will be described below with reference to specific examples. Among them, in various message formats described hereinafter, some parameters in the scan request message or the scan response message may not be specified.

5. The method of claim 3, wherein the scan type comprises at least one of: scanning only, association without base station cooperation, association with network cooperation.

The method according to claim 5, wherein the serving base station indicates, to the terminal, a scanning type corresponding to a carrier in each base station that needs to be scanned, and wherein the scanning types of all carriers on each base station indicated by the serving base station are the same or different.

The method of claim 5, wherein the scanning message further comprises association information if the scanning type is association without base station cooperation or association with network cooperation, wherein the association information comprises: association level, time when association is performed, dedicated ranging code used for performing association, and dedicated ranging resource information.
8. The method of claim 7, further comprising:
the terminal sends the special ranging code to an associated base station associated with the terminal on the special ranging resource at a preset associated time according to the associated information;

the serving base station determines a bitmap of a base station and/or an identifier of the base station that the terminal needs to scan, and the scanning, by the terminal, of the one or more carriers by using the radio frequency channel includes: the terminal scans part or all carriers of the base station corresponding to the bitmap of the base station and/or the identification of the base station; and/or the presence of a gas in the gas,
the serving base station determines a bitmap of a base station and/or an identifier of the base station that the terminal needs to scan, and an identifier of a carrier that needs to be scanned under the base station and corresponds to the bitmap of the base station and/or the identifier of the base station, and then the terminal scans the one or more carriers by using the radio frequency channel includes: and the terminal scans the carrier corresponding to the carrier identifier under the base station corresponding to the bitmap of the base station and/or the identifier of the base station.
11. The method according to any of claims 1 to 10, wherein before the serving base station terminal informs the terminal of carrier scanning by a scanning message, the method further comprises:
the terminal acquires carrier configuration information of the serving base station and carrier set information allocated to the terminal by the serving base station through broadcast information, wherein the carrier configuration information comprises: physical frequency point information and identification of one or more available carriers in the serving base station, and configuration information of each available carrier;
the terminal acquires carrier configuration information of a neighbor cell base station through neighbor cell broadcast information, wherein the neighbor cell base station is as follows: a set of base stations neighboring the serving base station, the carrier configuration information including: and the physical frequency point information and the identification of one or more available carriers in the neighboring base station and the configuration information of each available carrier.
12. The method of claim 11, further comprising:
the serving base station selects one or more carriers needing to be scanned from predetermined carriers, wherein the predetermined carriers include at least one of the following: all fully configured carriers and part or all of all partially configured carriers which are supported by the terminal and are not used by the terminal at present under the serving base station, all fully configured carriers and part or all of partially configured carriers of the neighboring base station, and part or all of carriers in the base station of which the terminal knows the base station identifier.
13. The method according to any of claims 1 to 10, wherein the serving base station notifying the terminal through the scan message comprises: and the service base station sends the scanning message to the terminal through the main carrier wave of the terminal.
14. The method according to any of claims 1 to 10, wherein the base station notifying the terminal of carrier scanning through the scanning message comprises:
the terminal finds that a preset trigger condition is met, a scanning request message is sent to the service base station, and the service base station sends the scanning message to the terminal according to the scanning request message; or,
and the service base station sends the scanning request message to the terminal when finding that a preset triggering condition is met.
15. The method of claim 14, further comprising:
the serving base station sets the predetermined trigger condition, wherein the predetermined trigger condition comprises one of: the measurement value of the carrier currently used by the terminal is less than or equal to a preset measurement value threshold, and the load value of the carrier currently used by the terminal is greater than or equal to a preset load value threshold.
16. The method of claim 15,
the predetermined trigger condition for the terminal to scan the carriers belonging to the serving base station and the predetermined trigger condition for the terminal to scan the carriers belonging to other base stations are the same or different from each other;
wherein the predetermined trigger condition for scanning the carrier belonging to the serving base station and the predetermined trigger condition for scanning the carrier belonging to the other base station are the same as each other: and the preset measurement value threshold when scanning the base station is equal to the preset measurement value threshold when scanning other base stations, or the preset load value threshold when scanning the base station is equal to the preset load value threshold when scanning other base stations.
17. The method of claim 14, wherein the scan request message comprises at least one of the following information: an identification of a radio frequency channel that the terminal desires to use for scanning, one or more carriers that the terminal desires to scan, a scanning interval that the terminal desires, a non-scanning interval that the terminal desires, a number of repetitions that the terminal desires, a type of scanning that the terminal desires.
18. The method of claim 17, wherein the one or more carriers that the terminal wishes to scan comprises:
if the terminal desires to scan the bitmap of the base station and/or the identifier of the base station, the scanning, by the terminal, of the one or more carriers by using the radio frequency channel includes: the terminal scans part or all carriers of the base station corresponding to the bitmap of the base station and/or the identification of the base station; and/or the presence of a gas in the gas,
the terminal desires to scan a bitmap of a base station and/or an identifier of the base station, and an identifier of a carrier needing to be scanned under the base station corresponding to the bitmap of the base station and/or the identifier of the base station, and the scanning, by the terminal, of the one or more carriers by using the radio frequency channel includes: and the terminal scans the carrier corresponding to the carrier identifier under the base station corresponding to the bitmap of the base station and/or the identifier of the base station.
19. The method according to claim 18, wherein for each base station requested by the terminal to scan, the scanning types of all carriers on the base station requested by the terminal are the same or different from each other, all carriers requested by a base station are the same scanning type, or each carrier requested by a base station has its own scanning type.
20. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 10, further comprising:
the terminal and the service base station carry out capability negotiation and inform the service base station of the radio frequency channel identification of the terminal in the capability negotiation process;
the service base station stores the identifier of the terminal and the mapping information of the notified radio frequency channel identifier and the mapping information of the currently working radio frequency channel of the terminal and the currently working carrier wave of the terminal.
21. The method of any one of claims 3 to 10, wherein after the scanning is complete, the method further comprises:
the terminal sends the scanning result to the serving base station through the main carrier of the terminal according to the scanning result reporting rule, wherein the scanning result comprises: a reporting mode, a reporting value type and a measurement result after the terminal scans the one or more carriers;
and the service base station selects a target carrier for the terminal according to the scanning result.
