Description
A method of mass production of parts for watch cases. The object of the present invention is a process (the mass production of parts for watch cases, in particular middle or bezel. This process is characterized in that a profiled tube is used, the section of which corresponds to the cross section of these parts, and by the fact that in the tube, before cutting it, at least part of the bores of said parts.
The accompanying drawing illustrates an example of implementation of the object of the invention and a product obtained by the process described below by way of example.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the profiled tube and FIG. ? is a perspective view of a middle part for a watch case.
The tube shown, obtained by rolling, is designated by 1; its straight section corresponds to the section of the middle part that we want to obtain. It comprises a body provided with four nerves lb to constitute, after the swimming section, horns for the. attaching a bracelet. Do we practice in the body 1a, before cutting, a series of holes? serving as a step for winding stems for movements; Likewise, in each of the nerves lb, a series of holes 3 intended to receive the straps for fixing the bracelets is practiced.
Once these holes have been made, the tube is polished. It is only after these operations have been carried out that one of the ends is. worked and then cut on a bar turning machine. After each cutting, the free end is in turn worked, so that after the tube has been completely cut off, the separate parts are polished and drilled and have. one of their faces worked. It is then sufficient to finish them by working on their second side to obtain edges such as the caseband 4 shown in the flet \ ?.
