Abstract

A slag cement mixture and manufacturing process are disclosed. The slag cement mixture is made up of dome slag and portland cement. The dome slag is optionally granulated and crushed. One embodiment of the process includes cooling the slag rapidly by submersion in water or by spraying water on it, and grinding the resulting product to a fineness of at least 6,000 cm 2 / g. The process also includes adding 35% granulated and crushed dome slag to portland cement to obtain a stronger and harder cement than individual portland cement.
