Romance in anime plays noticeable role
Anime
Quite the long title eh? Well, but the statement is true. Most of the times anime on MAL ends up in 6.5 rating category just because there is nothing to spice up the "unique isekai idea" for the 999th time. Of course with proper atmosphere that might as well not be needed, or when you try to send a message of sorts. But even so, you might've not realised it but it's quite popular to insert some subplot notes of romance in the background for those who wish to find that. Even anime like frieren have veeery faint but still apparent romance subplot that does not interfere with the idea of adventure by any means.
Alright now that you've A ignored allat yap above or B carefully read sentence by sentence, we can come to the reason of this stack - above average anime that has AT LEAST faint notes of romance in them ( enough for enthusiasts to enjoy ) that COULD be worth spending time on AND you might've accidentally skipped past.
Also I give comments on few confusing ones if you perhaps couldn't find the "romance" part.

I liked the anime, if you do too... There probably won't be continuation ( that one wolf+trader guy anime got continued tho after like ages ), so you can continue on manga. It takes long for there to be developed something, but I can notice it to unfold in manga if you're interested, but I'm too lazy to read it.

Goofy, silly, super serious romantic relationship that develops in the first season and continues onwards, in weird manner, in fact.

Great example of my long essay. If I remember correctly guy ( MC ) has some kind of romantic feelings towards this one girl, but because he got into a... Well let's say organically alien mutated death-likely sticky situation... the whole affair kind of drops, but that gives us, the viewer some plot to think about. Or, well, my memory might be tripping.

Didn't have time to watch the remake, but I heard it's good. You can still watch this one too I guess quite atmospheric.

Classic. But the lead up from "secret feelings" to "daisuki" is trash. I mean weirdly paced and all the other nuances.

I think this was my first anime, oooor maybe not BUT ANYWAYS you should absolutely watch it. It's quality is good and lore is kinda nice actually lol. But the rating is fair for it, won't argue, and won't bother explaining either 😴😴.

I know, I know. This anime is quite hated. But I finished it in one go and really enjoyed! Quite amazing, really, but it depends on what type of viewer are you. People with an average score of 2.0 of their total watched anime, might as well forgotten the reason they watch anime in the first place lmao. Ok no hate tho, here's what you're reading for -the romantic plot is quite visible.

Ahem. I was so locked it that this far I remembered why I made this stack. Oh well. Anyways this is one of the harder to notice romance plots. Besides I guess a lot of people drop around the 7th episode or something, it peaks right after the 8th and it becomes very atmospheric for absolutely no reason... Oh right romance, so basically hidden feelings and stuff, nice interactions in the end I could say that it didn't have any meaning... But then again would anything at all had any meaning? It's the message after all.

Nice example where romance plays quite the important role, but at the same time it is not the focus of the story.

Hidden feelings here and there, fake ones that might not be fake afterall, and other stuff that was really well implemented.

Yeah I know this anime gets kinda gross... Or maybe... Nahh it is just weird, but romance here is actually quite likeable. I mean between main character and the red demon girl... For Christ sake ignore the side cast ( except for the blue hair girl and the glasses, if you wish).

Yeah, hard to notice. Buuut it is present here and there, including main characters. Now that I think about it, it's more of an easy thing to notice haha.

Mentioned by characters themselves a lil bit. The romance in question might be a teeny itsy bitsy bit uhhh untraditional. But the lore is epic lmao, haven't read manga and it's hard to tell if they will keep the little romantic nuisance.

I mean, come on now you shouldn't question this one. Also if you're not happy with the ending, watch OVA. If you are happy with the ending, don't do it, might be disappointed.
