Mo Dao Zu Shi

Both are historical fiction in East Asia with romanic, slice of life, and political aspects. Akatsuki no Yona has more of the slice of life elements while Mo Dao Zu Shi is much more action pact. Both have a great cast of characters.
I could beileve that this wasn't already recommended. The main character's life was flipped after their parents are killed and betrayed. The protagonist goes in depair, eventually tries to retake his kingdom.
Fantasy, action, drama, and Oriental theme for both shows.

If you're hankering for a fantasy adventure that feels like MDZS, Akatsuki no Yona's a fantastic watch. A carefree childhood with a storm brewing that blows over when they're adults, heartfelt moments, unexpected allies, on a long journey - there were so many similar elements.
While MDZS in its Donghua and Danmei versions is a complete story, Akatsuki no Yona's 24 episodes end around chapter 40-41 of the manga.
