Cardboard cutout characters in a baffling clusterf@#* of events (you just can't call it a cohesive story) try to entertain you for at least a season too long. While occasionally visually stunning, both titles try to entangle you with forced drama, random action and CGI eye candy before you start to realize: It's just a waste of time!

Despite Guilty Crown having a love-hate relationship with practically everyone who has ever watched it, for some reason, Darling in the Franxx really reminds me of it. Maybe it’s the characters. Or heck, it might even be the central plot per se! Guilty Crown may not be one of the best anime out there (due to the fact that it somehow leads its second half to ruination), but its premise is really interesting. Its story development is leaning on a “nay,” but its visuals and sounds are very noteworthy! In fact, the best thing about Guilty Crown (at least for me) is its musicality. To this   read more

Both have very similar plots: a semi ordinary guy meets a pink girl who gives him an extraordinary power and then there's plot twists including *SPOILER* they new each other all along and the guy just forgot. there is even still mechs and a post Apocalypse setting.

Both contain mecha somewhat flying, young lovers, battles, aliens and female main character more upfront, with more knowledge and suffering then the male mc.

Both series have MCs who are kind of the bottom of the food chain in their respective friend groups, but due to chance encounters with pink haired girls, they both end up becoming more powerful, and eventually becoming the leader of the group among their friends. While both are scifi series with some elements involving genetics, Guilty Crown is a near future story with a focus on terrorism, while FranXX is a post apocalyptic fight for survival.

Darling in the Franxx is essentially Guilty Crown’s spiritual successor. While both share the same mecha/romance/action genre and have similar themes running throughout the shows it is the subtler tones of the shows which are amazingly similar. Both have this beauty about it that seems hard to explain. While the stories are mediocre there are times where both shows seem to grasp your attention. With Darling in the Franxx it was the success of Zero Two as best girl and with Guilty Crown it was the beautiful art, animation and music. Guilty Crown seems to be a forgotten show these days even though it was   read more

Exactly the same damn thing, the only difference between those two is that one has robots and the other doesn't.

A bit of romance. A little bit of "action". Apocalypic themed scenery with interesting story. If you watched both animes you recognize some similarities between the characters.

-Both Having mecha element -Both mc gets stronger after meeting pink haired girl -Both anime is romance althought ditf has a rejected one -both having amazing plot twist -both mc are being stubborn when the anime had it's last moment or close to being ended Diff: Fanservice: -If Gc Fanservice is about inori outft, ditf is about the way franxx handled The Squad: -Gc Consists 2 Man And More Woman -Ditf squad is completely balanced

DITF explores how the world setting ended up the way it is whereas in Guilty Crown the cause for the "current world setting" is thrown at you from the beginning. Yet, the main progression of the plot will feel similar in nature with the interaction between characters. Both shows have excellent OST and Guilty Crown's overall production is arguably better.

Well it is Si-Fi/Romance and yes, it has very heart touching scenes as well as plot twists. As for it's ending, I don't want to give spoilers but its gonna get to your heart. Well, no more spoilers. Watch it because it has a very intriguing and heart touching story. Happy watching...! ; )

Both animes have dimwitted boys who meet mysterious pink haired girls, Both of the shows take place in a post apocalyptic world in the distant future and both girls are violent and try to fit in with society. Both animes also have mechs. But ditf is about aliens while guilty crown is about a virus that causes an apocalypse. Another similarity is that both animes are atrocious.
