When I first started to read Marry Grave, I thought it would be a nice yet ordinary shounen manga. I am quite glad that it turned out much better than what I expected.
The art is quite simple, not especially outstanding but I came to appreciate it, and may have notice an improvement between the first and last volume.
The characters are also quite simple in a way: Sawyer is a nice airhead, Rosalie is a strong minded girl and I can't say that they have much more depth. This simplicity however collides violently with Marry Grave's world: a world where humans are barely surviving amidst violent
...
monsters. The joyful Sawyer almost makes us forget how painful it is to live in such a world. It is therefore quite wonderful to have very simple, positive characters evolving in a scary world, where emphasis is not put on their tragic lives but rather on the simple desire of two lovers to be by each other's side again.
And this is the true strong point of Marry Grave: the relationship between Sawyer and Rosalie. Even though we begin by following Sawyer's adventure, the main character is actually a duo. Rosalie is not just a love interest for the main character who proceeds to save his beloved, she is truly pictured as being equally important. The absence of fanservice also underlines this equality of this perfectly balanced duo. The relationship between present and past is also very interestingly depicted, and the author invites his readers to read the series again to find out all the details.
My only true regret is how the series was cut short when it was planned to be running on a longer term. The author shows how much more the story could have been developped, so it is a real shame. The last chapters just feel rushed and are not as enjoyable as the previous ones. I however appreciate the author's effort to wrap everything up, leaving not too many question marks or a sense of unfinished.
To sum up, Marry Grave is a great shounen, a wonderful piece, and I can only hope that it gains enough success for the author to be able to write his next series as long as he desires. I have high hopes for whatever he can write next, and will definitely look out for it.

I was quite surprised when I saw that the overall score of Aisopos was of only a little above 7,5.
Aisopos is a story of love. Not the kind of romance that we are used to; love in a more general sense, with its best and worst sides. Of course, this is not a romance manga; it's full of adventures; but everything that happens can be traced back to love.
Amidst the adventure, Aisopos' strong point however is the storytelling: Aesop hears stories that will change his way of thinking, and eventually makes up his own. These stories are simple, but full of symbolic for the
...
story. It also gives a feel of a time where stories were passed on orally.
Aisopos is also full of historical references that are very interesting.
The art accompanies this idea wonderfully well, mixing the manwha-webtoon style with Ancient Greek style.
Finally, the characters are very interesting: who is good, who is bad, who is dangerous, who holds the power? Each time you think you have an answer to these questions, you might soon realise that you got it wrong. The characters are quite complex, which gives a more realistic feel.
Overall, I really enjoyed reading this. It was sometimes quite heavy, and drew out some tears out of me.
I think that Aisopos is quite unique, so if you want to try something different, I definitely recommend it.

Considering that the only review concerning this manga seems to have been written for the wrong one, I wanted to re-establish a little fairness here in favour of this manga.
First, concerning the story: Sayo made a promise with some kind of spirit-monster, and ends up being able to summon him. But it turns out that he only wants to eat her in order to get stronger, and that's where the story begins, before it becomes a real adventure.
Next, for the characters: Sayo is quite a nice character, she is very devoted to her brother and will do all she can to save him. Our male
...
protagonist is quite nice too, and his attitude towards Sayo evolves very nicely during the story.
The art isn't incredibly special, and I would rather give this manga a 6.5 than a 7. It's not extraordinary, but it's not bad; I would recommend it of you have a little time to spare for a short story.

Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid is an extremely heart-warming manga, with a lot of comedy. It has a slow but enjoyable pace, very simple and relaxing (at least until now).
It's the story of a Duke that lives secluded because everything he touches dies, and his maid Alice. They both love each other, but can never touch. The innocence of the duke and of their activities and feelings for each other contrasts with the sadness of the curse that makes their love almost forbidden. Alice also knows that if the duke is ever freed of the curse, he won't be able to be with her
...
because she is just a maid.
The art is nice, I don't think I have much to say.
The secondary characters are also nicely developped, and have their own problems. They add to the comic of the manga.
Overall I quite recommend this manga.

I was really astonished to see that such a manwha wasn't more popular on MAL, and that there was only one review, so I thought I would add mine.
Family Man was a real emotional rollercoaster, between being heart-warming and sad.
Gang-Ho is a worker in a plant far away from his family that was fired after an accident that left him with a terrible scar and who can't face his family with such a face, so he wears a costume of a popular superhero to save them without them knowing. His devotion to his family is absolutely wonderful, and was very touching.
The webtoon is not
...
very lengthy, which was quite enjoyable for me. I recommend this manwha.
If you want more details, here I go:
The characters are, in my opinion, the best part of the manwha. Gang-Ho is the main character but his family is very well developed: I especially loved his wife, who is very strong and does her best with her husband far away. Gang-Ho's son is mentally handicapped, and his daughter is a very lively little girl. The way the children were pictured was interesting, I feel like they had a real personnality when some children in manga have often a more generic personnality.
The art was original, but went very well with the story: it is quite simple, which fits with the children and the idea of wearing a superhero costume. At the same time, it contrasts with the difficulties that they all go through.
Overall it was a really nice piece.

To summarise Winter Woods is a very nice webtoon, with a story that renews a quite common plot, making it feel new. The art, the characters are wonderful and contribute plenty to this. If you like the type of smooth, warm relationships without any useless barriers between the characters and hardships that seem real and justified, I warmly recommend Winter Woods to you.
Story - 8
The story is a positive, romantic version of Frankenstein. A young boy that was created by an alchemist is sent to live with a young writer, Jane, to see whether he is really alive and can be considered a human. The
...
story basically follows their life together.
It's the type of story that I personally enjoy very much, but I didn't give it a 10 because the end felt a little rushed (especially for side characters) and lacked the emotions that I had felt during the story.
Art - 10
I personally enjoy digital art without being an absolute fan of it, but I gave it a 10 because the webtoon just felt like an explosion of colours. The story takes place in winter and I could feel the cold colliding with the warmth of the characters and their relationship. Winter is the "non-alive", with clear white skin, light blue eyes and black hair, and Jane is the "full of life" one, with shining green eyes and red hair. They represent this colliding. It is extremely pleasant.
Character - 10
Definitely the best aspect of the webtoon in my opinion. The transformation of the characters was wonderful. At the beginning, I had trouble identifying and sympathising with some characters, and was a little worried that I never would. But as they changed, they became more and more loveable and attaching.
My only negative point would be that all these changes in character took place over one season, whereas they didn't experience a single change in centuries. But nevermind, it was still very enjoyable.
Enjoyment - 9
I think this is a very personal category, but if you like this type of story, I think you would enjoy it too.
Overall - 9
I really recommend this webtoon.
