'High Card Season 2' Reveals New Cast Pair, Second Promo
The official website of the High Card anime series revealed two new cast members and a second promotional video (pictured) for the second season on Monday. The new season will air on January 8 at 8:00 p.m. on AT-X, followed by Tokyo MX, BS11, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, and TV Aichi.
Junichi Wada (Caligula) is returning to direct the second season at Studio Hibari. Naoki Kuroyanagi is handling the series composition. Kenichi Yamashita (MF Ghost), Kazuhiko Inukai (Kanojo mo Kanojo), and Shingo Nagai (Sakugan) are penning the script. Nozomi Kawano (Radiant) is designing the characters, and Ryou Takahashi (ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka) is composing the music.
The first season aired in 12 episodes in Winter 2023. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles. High Card is part of a mixed media project collaboration between Kadokawa, pachinko developer Sammy Corporation, and animation studio TMS Entertainment. The project includes a manga, drama CD, and novel.
