The Classic is the starting pistol that every player receives every round.
The pistol is fairly weak, but since the player starts with the weapon, it can be used as a starting weapon for rounds where the player doesn't have enough money to buy other weapons, so the player can save to buy a weapon later on in the game. It has low damage, being 2-3 shots to the head, 7 to the body and 8 to the legs.
Players often prefer spending the Credits on the Ghost due to its reliable damage and accuracy.
