Our student societies are a great way to meet new people, follow your interests, try new things and find a community to be a part of during your time at Lancaster.

There are more than 160 societies covering a huge range of activities, hobbies and causes.

A society is a group of like-minded students, working together to do what they love. You can join a society to meet people who share your interests, to try something completely new, to discover a new culture or to increase your academic network.

Throughout the year, there will be rehearsals for performances and competitions, campaigns, cooking, guest speaker events, and endless opportunities to socialise! All this is brought to you by our unique, interesting and friendly student societies, supported by your students’ union.
