Good. Nevertheless, be sure that I will pay more attention to your account in the future. So do not try such crooked things again.

I still wish you success with your future game development projects!

Since you disabled the comment section under your game description, I'll just have to use the comment section under the jam submission:

You should be ashamed of yourself for passing off other people's work as your own, and also for submitting it to gamejams that also offer monetary prizes. You just uploaded the game "ᗢ" - created by sentvyr, takorii and mc hepher - and renamed it "Cat Adventure". Disgusting.

This is one of those games that I would like to see more often: It has a personal perspective and exposes me to an unpleasant situation, but it is not completely hopeless. In this way, the game evokes a certain empathy. The constant pressure of the outside world, all the looks, the discomfort... All this you have captured. At the same time, you have left the reason for the 'outsiderness' of the character completely open, creating a great potential for identification, which I think is just perfect. That's why I recommended your game in a more or less cryptic article on our blog and uploaded a playthrough video. <3 Thank you for this game, I wish you a high ranking at the Ludum Dare 42 with it!

Best wishes,
Sebastian

I found it interesting how you handled the theme of Ludum Dare 42: Instead of constantly losing space, the entire game world can suddenly fall on the player. The whole environment acts as a threat and an enemy to escape. At the same time, it's so wonderful to see how organic everything moves. That's simply fascinating, or maybe even mesmerizing! An all around atmospheric maze game that I just had to recommend in one of our compilation articles about the jam. <3 One minute of my search for the way out can also be seen in the video belonging to the article. ;> Once *AGAIN* a fantastic job, keep it up! :)

Best wishes,
Sebastian

(1 edit)

Lots of Ludum Dare 42 submissions have been trying to develop an interesting, inventory-based mechanic - and hey, you've done it! Although the player has to experiment a lot first to figure out which items together form new items that occupy only one slot, but it was totally worth it. It's easy to get into your game, it feels polished, the pixel art is nice to look at... It's a great little game for the coffee break! :) That's why I recommended your game along with two others in one of our compilation articles about the jam, and included a minute of gameplay in the article video. <3 Keep it up, that was neat!

Is it allowed that a game for the Ludum Dare 42 is so cute? :D Not only did I find the little sushis dances super sweet, but especially their reactions when I grabbed them with the gripper arm. <3 Your game really made me smile and I would like to thank you for that. :) So I was happy to recommend it in one of our compilation articles with two other entries and also showed a minute of gameplay in the article's video. Five stars, would eat in the restaurant again! :D

A clever game design coupled with charming retro pixel art - what is there not to love about it? <3 The mechanics led me to be more careful with my shots, so I would not accidentally block the way to the exit - at the same time I had to keep moving, so that the enemies would not have me in constant fire and so drive the walls forward. That was a great balancing act that you have accomplished there! That's why I recommended your game with an article on our blog and uploaded a playthrough video. <3 The only thing I would want more from the game would be a more fierce boss fight, but that's a tiny minor detail. :D Excellent work, I wish you a high ranking at the Ludum Dare 42 with it!

Best wishes,
Sebastian

The graphic style is just great. I love it when real images are built into a game not just as an optimistic fancy-shmancy background, but when you can still move in them! <3 This was a very charming, entertaining experience. Especially if one shreds all the tendrils with a few arrow throws, that's a very satisfying feeling. :) A great contribution to the Ludum Dare 42, which I recommended in one of our compilation articles about the jam. Similarly, one minute of gameplay can be seen in the accompanying video. Good work!

Best wishes,

A fine platformer with fantastic pixel art awaits the player here! <3 The different movement patterns of the dragons made sure that each level was like a little puzzle whose ideal solution one has to find out first. And the additional challenge with the collection of small squeaky ducks also brings in some extra pep. :) A great game, which I have gladly recommended in one of our compilation articles about the Ludum Dare 42 and of which I have shown a minute of gameplay in the accompanying video. Keep it up! <3

It's beautiful, it's sad, it's funny, it's fascinating, it's absurd, it's so much at once. That you have developed a game that also deals with alcoholism and did not make it ridiculous honors you very much in my opinion (I know, that sounds just like basic human decency one would hope for, but in my experience it's not always the reality...). Smoke is not portrayed as a violent or asshole-like creature, but as a fragile, somehow sad character who has to decide how he wants to continue his life. It's a story about regret and hope. That's at least how I understood the game and I'm glad that it gives me the space for this interpretation. I just thought it was fantastic, thanks for that. <3 That's why I recommended your game in an article on our blog and uploaded a playthrough video in the hope that more people will try it out for themselves. <3 I wish you a high ranking in the Ludum Dare 42! :)

The mechanics of being able to control the sheriff only indirectly through the inventory was just great! The various levels and puzzles, especially those with the ricochet design, were beautifully designed and my only complaint is that the game is too short! :D But that's always the thing with jam games, isn't it? ;) The concept was very good and I think you have done a great job here. That's why I recommended your game along with two others in one of our Ludum Dare 42 compilation articles, and showed one minute of gameplay in the accompanying video. Hopefully, even more people will try it out that way. <3

Best wishes,

The potential in your puzzle platformer is really big, but this version already was a lot of fun. <3 I really like this growth mechanic because it can be either for your own benefit or for your own disadvantage, so you just have to be careful as a player. :D A nice contribution to the Ludum Dare 42, which I have gladly recommended in one of our compilation articles. :) One minute of gameplay can also be seen in the video for the article. Keep it up, you're doing some good work here!

Best wishes,

The pixel art is simply brilliant! For some of the levels, it actually took a few minutes before it clicked in my head, but it was totally worth it. :) The collapse of the friable fields in combination with the jump stamina mechanics was a good design decision, which brought me much joy. All in all, it is a well-done and very charming puzzle game. <3 So I recommended your game in one of our compilation articles about the Ludum Dare 42 and showed one minute of gameplay in the accompanying video. :) Great work!

There is so much to love about this game, so many little details are fascinating. On the one hand, I found it fantastic that all travel companions believe in different gods and that this is never a conflict, but instead they can also take advantage of it in their fight against the fascists. On the other hand, the world is quite huge for a jam game, so one can get lost in it, only to discover something completely new. That was really nice! :) The whole game has a very special road-trip vibe in it and I am very happy that I tried it. It's probably the game of yours that's been the most 'traditional game' yet, but it still has been a unique experience for me. Thank you for this fantastic trip. It was an honor to recommend this game in an article on our blog and to upload a longer gameplay video for it, even though this time I did not win the fight... I wish you great success with the Ludum Dare 42 ratings, but at least I can say that it already has a special place in my heart! <3

I laughed about the premise, I laughed about the end. <3 I was just a little disappointed that I got the same ending even when I did not eat anything. : P But that's a tiny detail. :D The basic concept of food stacking and the constant return of the grandma with new food was a funny idea, which was also well implemented. The slightly different digestion times were a very nice detail. : D All in all a nice game for the lunch break (oh oh..) with a great graphic style! That's why I recommended your game along with two others in one of our compilation articles about the Ludum Dare 42 and included a minute of gameplay in the accompanying video. :) Thank you for the game!

I am very happy to see that you are working on a complete version of this game because it really has a huge potential. The simple game concept and the sometimes very difficult puzzles make me as a player wanting to find out the solution for each level. I was almost a bit sad when it was over. :D I also really liked the voxel art! <3 So I recommended your game along with two other submissions for  the Ludum Dare 42 in a compilation article about the jam and also implemented a minute of gameplay into the article's video. :) Thank you for your hard work! It was a blast.

I love your graphic style so much! Even if the monster looks threatening due to the sharp teeth and all the reddish flesh, it still is somehow... Sweet? I mean, look at how he nudges his own brain! D'awww... This design in combination with the not explicitly stated, but quickly discovered tasks make this puzzle game to a really nice experience! :) So I decided to recommend your game along with two others in one of our compilation articles about the Ludum Dare 42 and to show a minute of gameplay in the accompanying video. Keep it up, that was great! <3

This is hardcore in a very special sense. Although the puzzles are sometimes quite difficult, the much bigger challenge is to transform the words in the inventory into the solution words in the first place! The lumbago drips just like that, thanks to all the unique transformation mechanics in the different rooms! :D This very innovative concept of puzzle design coupled with the pleasantly odd scenario makes the whole game an outstanding submission to the Ludum Dare 42, in my opinion! <3 So I recommended your game in an article on our blog and uploaded a playthrough video as well. :) Thank you for this fantastic work and I wish you all the best for the ratings! Fingers crossed for a high ranking! <3

I find the basic premise of your game ravishingly silly and had to smile when I played it. <3 The pixel art and the audio comments are just great, everything feels very polished and juicy, that was once again a top performance of you. :) No wonder it made this game of you in the list of recommendations once again on our blog! : D A gameplay video was also produced again. <3 Oh, and... Were the baby noises the ones of your own actual kids? I mean, you are the SeaDads after all. :P

In the beginning, I just tried out different setting options without any system, but then I gradually tried to figure out how two of the pianobots could easily play together and if it sounded somewhat harmonical. Then I tried the same with a third (or fourth) pianobot. :D All in all, this was a nice, systematic audio-puzzle game that tried something different, and I thought that was very good! :D That's why I recommended your Ludum Dare 42 entry in one of our compilation articles about the jam. One minute of gameplay can also be seen in the accompanying video. :)

Not only is the pixel art very cute, but some of the later puzzles are also quite difficult. <3 But I was really happy when I finally made it and the little penguin slided over the screen! :D Every new attempt brought me a step closer to the correct solution. :) All in all, a fine puzzle game that I liked to recommend in one of our compilation articles about Ludum Dare 42. One minute of gameplay can also be seen in the accompanying video. <3

The color palette! The different ways how to make the blobs grow! The giant heads! The background music and the sound design! Ahhh, there is so much to love about your game and its design! <3 The last two of the six levels have been pretty tough, but with a bit of tactical thinking and a good sense of timing one can handle those too. :) Seriously, that was a great contribution to the Ludum Dare 42 and it was a lot of fun to try the tricky parts of the game again and again. It was juicy, it was greatly staged, it had just the perfect length - all in all, a great game! <3 Therefore, I recommended your jam entry in an article on our blog and also uploaded a fairly short playthrough video (which would not have been so short if I recorded my first run :D ). I wish you a lot of success with the ranking and a high place! :)

Best wishes,
Sebastian

That was something completely different - and I love it! I'd love to hear your own interpretation or explanation of the story, but either way, I somehow found this strange relation to religion incredibly fascinating. I mean... "Breakout" with a metaphysical component?! This is weird in the most positive sense. <3 That's why I recommended your game in one of our compilation articles about the Ludum Dare 42 and showed one minute of gameplay in the accompanying video. :) Thank you for this wonderful curiosity!

A lovely pixel art style combined with highscore hunting in the desert? Count me in. :D That was some excellent pew-pew-pew fun and even though I'm no longer in the top 10 (damn it!), I found your game really entertaining. :) It really pays off to collect as much ammunition as possible in order to start the 'work' afterwards. >:) Thanks a lot for this cute little game, I had a lot of fun with it and so I recommended it in one of our compilation articles about Ludum Dare 42. <3 One minute of gameplay can also be seen in the following video. :D Good job!

Only two words: Spectacular work. All the little narrative threads that can be found on the phone end up as part of an incredibly emotional story. The dramaturgy of the ending was just amazing as well... In general, this game shows very clearly how many superficially different parts of our identity we scatter on these little technical marvels. Each app has explained a new part of Ellen's story, and I think that's a little feat to do that in such a short time. This basic scenario in combination with the really fabulous voice-over has absolutely convinced me of your game and I can only hope that it achieves a correspondingly high ranking in the Ludum Dare 42 - your submission would definitely earn it! <3 For that reason, I hope that my article about your game gets even more people to try it out for themselves. :) I also uploaded a playthrough video. <3 I wish you good luck and look forward to your future projects!

Best wishes,
Sebastian
