Abstract: The I =2 s-wave and d-wave phase shifts J ~ and Ja 2 have been determined in the nTr ma... more Abstract: The I =2 s-wave and d-wave phase shifts J ~ and Ja 2 have been determined in the nTr mass region 0.5-1.5 GeV/c 2 in four mass bins of width 0.25 GeV/c 2, using a sample of 17 500 events from a wire chamber experiment. Two different methods were used, leading to consistent results, In the p-mass region j2 ~ _ 15.5 o, which corresponds to an elastic ross section of ~ 7.5 rob. The values of J2a are about a factor of ten smaller than the corresponding values of J~. 1.
