Grrr. So, I think I know what's been happening with identi.ca.- The pump.io process has been throwing errors due to running out of file handles.
- When the errors are thrown, the cluster child is dying.
- When all the cluster children are dead, the parent is still running, so forever isn't kicking over the server.
- I increased the number of file handles. One of those terrible hazing rituals that sysadmins have to go through. Boo.
- I updated the pump code such that if a cluster child dies, the parent starts a new one. This should keep all cylinders running, I hope.

Bound to be things like this that pop up as the system gets put under more load. It's very hard to simulate real world load in a lab. Keep up all the good work. Thanks for all the time and effort.

OK - I've got a fragile but barely-working pump-to-RSS bridge going at https://pump2rss.com/ .
It's about as rudimentary as possible -- put in a pump handle, and it will spit out the last N activities as an Atom feed.
It tries to be smart about which activities should be shown as objects and which should be shown as activities -- any help would be welcome on that score.
I still have a few things to add to the feeds -- attachments would be great. And at some point I'd like to PubSubHubbub-enable the feeds.

@Jacob, by "public JSON feeds", do you mean what ofirehose.com provides?

Is it on purpose that "re-shares" are not included ?arthurlutz: no, it's not on purpose. It's probably due to the fact that shares are sent by default just to your followers. I'll see what I can do to fix that up.

Seit wann sind Regierungen so schnell? Erst recht wenn es um episches geht.
Worum gehts. Vor wenigen Tagen ging die eine Meldung durch den Ticker, das es bewiesen ist, das Delphine sich mit Namen ankündigen, rufen und zielgerichtet mit Individuen kommunizieren. Da stellt sich natürlich die Frage, inwieweit so eine Erkenntnis rechtliche Folgen hat.
Die Indische Regierung - vermutlich gestützt durch Religiöse Grundeinstellungen - hat nun als erste Regierung überhaupt nicht humane Lebewesen offiziell als Personen anerkannt, mit den entsprechenden Rechtsfolgen wie "Recht auf Leben", "Recht auf Freicheit" ...
Das einen eine Dephin in Indien noch nicht verklagen kann, ist also nur den noch vorhandenen Unzulänglichkeiten von Übersetzungsprogramm geschuldet.

There seems to be a problem with the password recovery on identi.ca. I'm trying to trace it down; I think it might have to do with firewalls and the remote mail server.
