Nike ACG Presents Expedition-Ready Air Terra Antarktik Boot
Complete with GORE-TEX-lined uppers.
Winter’s coldest days are still ahead of us, but Nike ACG takes its “All Conditions Means All Conditions” motif quite seriously, so the outdoor-focused Nike sub-label has presented a new boot dubbed the Air Terra Antarktik. Tough enough for a snowy trail but more than stylish enough for a rainy city day, the Terra Antarktik boasts a powerful combination of durable materials and futuristic design.
The high-cut upper is constructed of a water-repellant black ripstop material and lined with GORE-TEX for extra resiliency and warmth. A large grey outlined Swoosh appears on the midfoot, and is interwoven with a GORE-TEX logo. The rope lacing system’s anchors are all equipped with ACG embellishments, as are the tongue and heel’s pull tabs. A rich dark turquoise is used on the collar’s lateral badge and medial ACG graphic. This elegant hue also appears as trim on the very top, offering faint shades of the classic ACG Mowabb‘s neoprene bootie.
Sturdy black synthetic overlays with text on the medial side seal the light-but-durable upper to the thick black rubber midsole, which itself features a textured toe cap and pointed, elongated heel. Both of these pieces provide enhanced lockdown and grip, all while adding responsive comfort with an encased Zoom Air unit. A small dark turquoise Swoosh is present on the toebox, and a rugged outsole with a traction pattern shaped similarly to Kobe Bryant‘s recognizable sheath logo completes the look.
Harkening back to the technical nature of ACRONYM head Errolson Hugh‘s highly conceptual, tremendously functional ACG products from the mid 2010s, the Air Terra Antarktik will release at retailers like 43einhalb on January 16. The MSRP is set at €220 EUR (approximately $244 USD).
