I’m a full-stack software engineer with a passion for both designing sleek and intuitive front end systems and developing readable, efficient and scalable code in the back end.
I come from a background in public accounting. Having worked as a CPA at KPMG for several years prior to my transition, I bring with me a problem solving mentality, keen attention to detail, as well as the ability to clearly articulate ideas, contribute in a team environment and manage tight deadlines.
As a software developer, I am adept in frameworks such as Rails, React, Redux, and languages including Ruby, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and SQL. I’ve consistently put these skills to use to build several web applications. One project that I’m particularly proud of is a clone of the popular note taking app Notion, which I built through integrating a React/Redux front end and a Rails/PostgreSQL backend. Among other functionalities, the application features an intuitive and minimalistic design, as well as rich text editing capabilities that mimic the behavior on Notion.
