The collaboration maps project is a visualization framework that uses metadata from the Erudit corpus to show the collaborative worldwide academic networks that make up the document corpora. Users can filter based on multiple factors including author, date, academic institution, and journal. Several levels of granularity allows users the ability to investigate how and when the corpus was created. Used in concert with the rest of the corpus analysis suite, the collaboration maps give a full view of academic partnerships and their geography.

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes. See deployment for notes on how to deploy the project on a live system.

Please ensure that you have NPM, NodeJS and GulpJS (optional) must be installed on your computer in order to run this application.

Packages are bundled in package.json.

npm install

After successfully installing you should be able to run the NodeJS server with the following command:

npm start

Deployment for this project has been automated, and so please be aware that pushes to this repository will automatically build, run, and deploy to the VIALAB production servers at https://collabmap.vialab.ca/.
