Developers work in their own trees, then submit pull requests when they think their feature or bug fix is ready.
The patch will be accepted if there is broad consensus that it is a good thing.
Developers should expect to rework and resubmit patches if the code doesn't
match the project's coding conventions (see doc/coding.txt
) or are
controversial.
Make sure you have your dependencies in order (namely Boost, Berkeley DB 4, openssl, miniupnpc, and Qt 4 for the GUI app).
To build the command line app:
cd src; make -f makefile.unix
To build the GUI app:
qmake
make
This operates exactly the same as Litecoin. You can mine with your CPU by sending the command
setgenerate true <num threads>
to your command line or GUI app. To mine using your GPU, use cgminer or bfgminer.
