The Spotted-Poivorrei-ITA2020 corpus is a collection of texts in Italian originating from Instagram, written by Italian university students. The corpus documents their experiences and reflections during the lockdown period in Italy in 2020.
The corpus was created by a team of researchers, including Johanna Monti, Maria Pia di Buono and Gennaro Nolano from the University of Naples "l'Orientale" - UniOR NLP Research Group: https://sites.google.com/view/unior-nlp-research-group/home - and Francesca Chiusaroli and Maria Laura Pierucci from the University of Macerata, also working as members of the Project of National Relevance "UniverS-ITA, the written Italian of University students" (prot 2017LAP429).
The Spotted-Poivorrei-ITA2020 corpus consists of 14,701texts ("posts") published on Instagram from January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020. The selection of accounts from which to collect the posts was largely determined by the list of universities that are subjects of the PRIN UniverS-Ita research.
