#App Mission Statement This app is designed to be a dish-based app for determining what to eat on and around the UW campus.

I want to open the app and have it tell me what dishes are available around me. This is in contract to Yelp, which only tells me what businesses are around me.

#Long Term Plan The purpose of the app is to answer the question, “What can I eat now?” The app would display dishes served by nearby restaurants and cafe that are currently open, highlighting current specials and deals. The app will also integrate a review system, allowing users to rate dishes and view ratings left by other users. The app’s initial target is the University of Washington On-Campus community. This would provide a reasonably sized rollout and a captive testing audience. Initially, the app would show the user the specials offered by the closest dining hall that’s currently open. In a second rollout phase, the app could be expanded to include nearby restaurants in the University District.
