Common Java functionality for working with HTTP requests. It hides the complexities of setting up
and configuring the Apache HTTP Client Library
in the code, and uses the same to make all requests.
This helps reduce a lot of boiler-plate code, as you can get started from the word go
.
jerry-http
is a module library for the uber jerry
library project. This module provides easy
wrapper functionality to work with HTTP requests using the Apache HTTP client library.

The library is tested on the following JDK versions:
- Oracle JDK 9
- Oracle JDK 8
- Oracle JDK 7
- Open JDK 7
- Make web requests without all the boiler plate code of the Apache HTTP Client Library
- Use sensible defaults for connection/socket timeout and others
- Adds mechanism for rate-limiting calls to an end-point or host
- Many convenience methods to get request/response data

jerry-http
makes working with HTTP requests super easy. To fetch a response from the server, use,

If you want to have total control over your request, you may do as:

jerry-http
will be maintained under the Semantic Versioning guidelines as much as possible.
Releases will be numbered with the follow format:
<major>.<minor>.<patch>
And constructed with the following guidelines:
- Breaking backward compatibility bumps the major
- New additions without breaking backward compatibility bumps the minor
- Bug fixes and misc changes bump the patch
