Request your DATA

Following the GDPR law all your companies are mandated to give you the data they own about you. Whats more important, some of this VALUABLE data are obligated to delete after some time. So you should start requesting and archiving this data regularly because in the future you might be to use it.

  • Google - Google Takeout is an online Google service to request your personal data collected by any Google service
  • Microsoft - export your data from Microsoft services including search history
  • Yandex - get all your data from all of Yandex services
  • Yahoo - view and manage data associated with your account

Social Networks

I recommend trakt.tv and it's chrome extension to track your viewing history across your popular entertainment platforms (Netflix, Prime, HBO...). This extension automatically collects all the information not easily accesable and gives you an easy way to download your data.

  • Flickr - find "Your Flickr Data" part of the webpage and request your data. It will be sent to your linked email.
  • Etsy - use "Request your data for download" button to get data as CSV and JSON files
  • Pinboard - export your Pinboard bookmarks
  • Spotify - use "Download your data" tool in your account page (learn more)
