Main Overview
-------------

This release provides information of medical specialists, physicians and other healthcare professionals who can be consulted by those in the Medicare program released by
the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid provide substantial amounts of data to
the public about their programs, various health care topics, and care
settings. If you are interested in learning more about datasets released
by the CMS, please visit the [CMS Data homepage](https://data.cms.gov/).

This resource is presented in both the JSON and CSV formats. The
included dataset contains the following columns:

`"npi", "last_name", "first_name", "partb", "dme", "hha", "pmd"`
