Welcome to the PSRC data science team wiki.

The data science team designs systems and codes processes for the data department. We script tools to reduce manual processing, duplicate efforts, and errors. Our ultimate goal is to help the department use data efficiently to tell the compelling stories and answer important planning questions. We work in an agile, flexible manner to allow for new kinds of data and new ways to process data. In short, we are the data team for the data team.

Core Team Functions:

  1. App Creation/Model Building/Dashboarding
  2. Process Automation
  3. Tool development
  4. Building Data Warehouses, Data Pipelines, and Data Engineering
  5. Technical Skill Building across the Agency and for our Member Jurisdictions (R, SQL, Python)
